like i'm sorry but we as a fandom have to stay firm on our anti-AI values. we cannot suddenly start giving AI a pass when it's something we "want to see" like destiel kisses. it's not suddenly fine. we're not going to start using AI to make fanfic scenes come to life or audio AI to make characters "say" stuff we want to hear. you have GOT to be firm on your anti-AI stance. if you start making exceptions then suddenly anything will fly. fandom is for real art and creations made by real people. no AI fanfics. no AI art. no AI rendered "bonus" scenes. no AI audio. none of it has a place here.

I saw your post going about RWBY not having a no kill rule and people complaining about it. the argument I have seen about ruby having taken off tyrians tail is that she didn't react to it they feel it contradicts rubys personality ( that Kerry stated recently in a stream about forgiving neo and what type of person ruby is.

The difference about Ruby giving Neo another chance and letting her go despite what Neo had done to her and Ruby cutting Tyrian's tail is that at that moment Neo's intentions were ascending and leaving them be, while Tyrian had just poisoned her uncle and he was still actively trying to kill her friends and kidnap her. Obviously in a situation like that she isn't going to think twice, whereas Neo no longer posed a threat because, again, she didn't want to fight them any longer. However, when they were fighting back at Atlas? Ruby tricked her and pushed her to the void without a second thought. Because, again, it's a different situation.

saw an elderly woman walking around with a tote bag whose design were the four AO3 fic category squares and she very excitedly asked if i was a reader or a writer bcs nobody else at the con had recognized it, and after telling her that i've been writing fic since fanfic.net, she solemnly nodded and explained that she'd been reading fic since "the days of personal websites" but that she only started writing fanfic when she was 47 and oh my god when i tell you that i genuinely teared up on the spot!!!!! like!!! HELL YEAH???? LITERALLY NEVER TOO OLD TO START WRITING. NEVER TOO OLD TO WRITE AND SHARE YOUR FIC.

her enthusiastic "i'm a very nice and bubbly person, i swear! but i love writing angst and major character death :)" nearly took me the fuck out.

Hey, yeah, so, if your fic has explicit content you're supposed to tag it as E. For explicit. That's what the tag is for. I don't want to get jumpscared by your characters going at it out of nowhere, untagged, in a fic rated T or M.
