I think modern controllers need two more buttons. At some point every company agreed on 4 face buttons, 2 sticks, 2 triggers, 2 bumpers, and a D-pad. Which is often used as an extra set of buttons, but it's not enough. And don't you dare try to talk about the paddle controllers, those aren't extra inputs, just another way to access the same ones. Too many games have weird controls and it's because they need to map a button to a specific place logistically, but then the action that is normally associated with that button has to move. If you play the new helldiver's this is what happened to the grenade button, what is normally the grenade button is used for strategems, and that is perfect placement, but that means that using grenades will be awkward for a while for players.

Also If you are a game dev and you are making a 1st or 3rd person game, you better have a real good fucking reason to make X sprint rather than L3! Detective mode can be R3, no one uses it!

I have finished the remainder of the eggs, and they were all double yoked! I have been blessed by the egg gods. They are sending me a sign, if only they weren't so cryptic, and I so stupid.

Today I purchased a carton of grade A large Kroger brand eggs. I have cracked 4 of them so far and every single one has been double yoked. I have a feeling that this entire carton is made of eggs with 2 yokes, but I'm not gonna waste the eggs so join me in this journey.

Had a dream that they sold chouta In the frozen aisle in the ethnic section. Wasn't like Roshar was real, but Sanderson decided to buy a food manufacturing plant in order to fund his Cosmere Land™ amusement park. Tasted like tv static in a really satisfying way.

I know Dalinar doesn't have a beard, and I know Wayne doesn't have a curled mustache, but I refuse to picture them that way. When I picture Dalinar he looks a lot like the ghost of the king of Hyrule from the breath of the wild. I don't know why, that's just who my brain cast. As for Wayne I just think it's the hat and his rapscallion nature. It always takes me out of the book for a sec when they reference his clean shaven face. Rock looks like the Viking from how to train your dragon who has a rock for a tooth and is missing a hand and foot, I think his name was gobber, great performance for him around, cannot thank my brain enough for this clusterfuck of a production.

Stormlight 10 is gonna be over 2000 pages and sold in two parts, probably on the same release day, and sold as a bundle, but there will be two books in any format. The leather bound is gonna be 4. I just don't think Brandon can be stopped from doing this, each stormlight book gets bigger, and I don't think that is really gonna change. Like maybe stormlight 8 is only 1200 pages again or something, but that's the direction we are headed in. And I for one, am totally fine with that.

Though depending on the growth rate he might hit the *this has to be two books due to the limitations of publishing* which my guess would be around 1500-1600 pages, and if he hits that by like stormlight 7 he might start to scale down or something.

I really thought the chasmfiends were just big purple crabs, just a scaled up crab. But thanks to the drawings I know that it's a really scary purple crab and I really appreciate that.

utterly befuddled... my brother thinks chulls in stormlight look like cows. and doesn't think that the canonical depictions of chasmfiends is right. brother dearest did you LOOK at the pictures Shallan drew??? Did you READ WoK???? He really hears chiton and thinks COWS????

Found out a new season of dragon prince came out at some point so I finished it. It was fine, definitely much better than season 4 but still really weak. This show really suffers from not having enough episodes. It's obvious that Aaron really views this as "his" Avatar, but it's just not doing anything. It had potential, but everything is too surface level, I don't really feel like this is a living, breathing world because most of the series is traveling to nowhere in particular. You never really see how people live, how society really functions. The primal arcanum and the elves are obviously supposed to be what the elements and the 4 nations were. The magic is an extension of culture, and the dividing lines between the elements are reflected in the culture. In dragon prince this is incredibly surface level. And it's mostly due to time.

The last two seasons have been mostly build-up, only for the finally to be incredibly forgettable, to the point that I'm surprised that it's the last episode because almost nothing happens. Maybe in two years, when the next season comes out I'll be singing a different tune but I really doubt it.

So apparently a lot of people do not like the Hoid narration for the secret projects, but a lot of these people also seem to be people that have some grips with his lack of prose. Which is odd, cause I don't think these elaborate pros are bad, it's just very hoid.
