Suddenly, there’s a loud BANG nearby, causing a metal panel from the wall to explode out of one of the hallways and slam against a nearby wall. If Barney had been standing a few inches to the right, he would’ve been a pile of ground meat.

“Jesus- what the hell?!” Unfortunately, he couldn’t quite see what caused the sudden explosion from where he’s standing.
