hot take genshin (And just meta community in general) ruined the way we play games, everything has to be meta, and I noticed an uptick in this in my spaces since genshin came out, they leave no room for creative builds and having fun. I want to play a game and have freedom to play as I want, games like genshin get you judged for not adhering to the meta. Long story short non meta builds are fine, have fun with game, cause eventually a meta will be boring, pressing the same buttons in the same order isn't a fun long term gaming experience.
