Hot take: the Nightmare route where you go outside the cabin with her is underrated. Like I get why the Moment Of Clarity is so popular but can we get some recognition for this ending of the Nightmare too?

I like that chapter too! It was the second one I got in my first play through after all. The series of events lead to natural investigation into the narrator by the Player, Nightmare is a delightfully evil princess who is fun to listen to, and the cherry on top is the bickering from the two voices in your head (if you picked up the knife). Holy shit Hero and Paranoid are so funny here, they play off each other amazingly it’s great, even better with the tense situation Nightmare has corralled you into.

Fav character/subject that’s a bitch to draw: I like drawing my design for LQ, but sometimes he’s a nightmare to draw, usually his face gets me given its strangeness.

File name conventions: I name a stack what type of drawings are in it, and every art piece in that stack goes unnamed.

Easiest part of the body to draw: Waist area, I like drawing hands too, you learn some tricks for drawing hands, use em for a while, forgo it for something better, boom you can now draw that one thing everyone complains about drawing.

As far as anyone can tell, it’s the only owl part of his design, aside from maybe his face, but no one knows what his face looks like so it doesn’t count.

Otherwise, he’s probably mostly a crow dude. It makes sense why it’s there too, as aesthetically, with the sort of design they went for, he would’ve probably looked kind of weird or incomplete bald, so they gave him the bird equivalent of visible ears.

That’s part of why I gave my design an owl face! There’s a much stronger corvid representation in the game, but there’s just a touch of owl in there.

This is something I also always thought was kind of weird.

She doesn’t want to bring up her plan, because she knows something was controlling us last time, something that was and probably still is listening in. So she hopes that we’re smart enough to put together that A: she wanted to leave so clearly she had a plan when cutting off her head and B: If we can’t die, then she probably can’t either.

The big problem here is that Prisoner doesn’t know us. Sure, yeah, Skeptic picks up something isn’t right, doesn’t mention it because he also doesn’t know the extent of the Narrator’s abilities, but he gives up pretty easily when you decide not to take the SEVERED HEAD BECAUSE THAT’S INSANE IT’S SHOCKING WE DON’T THROW UP IMMEDIATELY.

Realistically she can’t expect us to follow her plan to a T, the fact she feels betrayed is honestly kind of silly and probably my biggest gripe with any of the princesses. It isn’t that big of a deal, but it feels weird that it’s even an option when it plays out so poorly afterward.

her cutting off her own head leading to the drowned grey doesn't feel like it works

maybe its just the voice of the cheated in me, but that is sooo not our fault. she expected us to bring up her disembodied head for one reason or another; and if we don't do that, that's us betraying her??

no wonder drowned gray never gives us much of an explanation, im sure if she voiced her complaints she'd realize she sounds crazy

she shouldnt want us dead because we didn't instinctively know to take her head as we left the cabin.
