SPOILER WARNING FOR KPOP Demon Hunters. This might be an unpopular opinion, but I really like that the love interest died. Often in Korean media (dramas, webtoons, etc.) the romance plot comes down to “I can fix him.” It’s toxic and pushes me away a lot, watching a docile girl get stepped on by a handsome guy.

This story on the other hand was very female centric, and it stayed that way the whole time (most of the male-idol demons didn’t even get to have a personality, it was really abt the girls :3). It was nice to see a story about female friendship, female success, and girls loving each other without it ever being about a man. Their argument wasn’t about a man, their motivation wasn’t about a man, and they had pajamas on for like a good chunk of the movie. 10/10 would watch again, pleasantly surprised.
