Of course! here's my take:

@ardienothesieno , @natureforlife , and @buonsai also requested this redesign and here it is!

I wanted Sundew's design to mirror the plant she's named after, by adding more orange-pink tones into her design and including these little webbed dots that reminded me of sundew droplets.

As for the rest of her colors, I tried to stay true to her original design as much as possible through the use of dark green shades and gold markings. Of course, I did end up putting a spin on things when it came to her limbs - mostly because I needed to balance the overall colors in the design. I added some red polka dots to mimic the sundew plant again, as well as changing her web/under eye color to be more orange-red. As for her wings, I honestly wasn't really sure what to do since sundew plants don't have a leafwing shape at all. I kind of just mimicked a leaf pattern in orange to keep it consistent, adding small green veins in the wing membrane.

The most interesting part of redesigning Sundew was definitely the vest! I was never really able to conceptualize her pouches when reading the book, although I think that's probably because of how they kind of just appeared whenever she needed them and weren't really described in full. So it was a joy to finally sit down and design Sundew a real combat vest, with enough pouches and flexibility to accommodate her occupation and also act as a little bit of camouflage. Sundew was definitely one of my favorites from arc 3 - and I don't know if it was just me, but I always imagined her sounding like tigress.

THE LIBRARY AT MOUNT CHAR!!! (by Scott Hawkins)

Library at Mount Char is one of my all time favorite books, I have never in my life read a book like it, and I'm not sure I ever will again. Hawkins dropped the book of a lifetime and never published anything else (except a few coding textbooks?!?!).

I seriously cannot recommend LaMC enough. And I have absolutely no way to describe it to you except that it will explode your brain with the layers upon layers the author weaves, make you laugh out loud from absurdity, cry over characters you didn't realize you cared about, hate characters you thought you loved, and potentially alter how you perceive the "sureness" of reality ♡

I think my favorite genre of book is literary fiction with plots that don't make a terrible amount of sense, touched me deeply, and give me an indescribable amount of joy to try an explain to others with little success

Read your reblog about how somebody asked you to find a book that ended up being a prop from a movie 😭 any chance you remember the movie?? I’m sooo curious

I WIIISH!! I vividly remember staring at the still shot on my work computer, feeling the phone against my ear (hot from how long I'd been on the phone with the customer, and uncomfortably silent as I finally realized why I couldn't find this damn book). It was a room with a big wooden bookshelf taking up most of the frame, and a solid color forest green wallpaper peeking out a bit around the shelf. The book was on a table in front of the bookshelf, not really zoomed in and not even the focus of the shot. It was lit with "natural light" (as natural movie light is) from a window to the right of the shelf. Despite the useless details I remember, the title of both the book and movie elude me. I can't believe I didn't write it down anywhere, I'll never forgive myself 😭

If you're curious how it ended, my coworker (who was working his last shift) took the phone from me, looked at me with sympathy and warmth, and began screaming back at her since she got enraged when I explained the novel she so desperately desired simply did not exist
