How do you do eyes? I’m having lots of troubles with that and would really appreciate your help
I don’t know which part of drawing eyes you’re struggling with but I hope my explanation is clear enough 😭

how are you able to draw most things without reference? is it because you either drew them a lot, or are very observant of details? do you imagine the final piece in your mind before drawing it out or do you make several sketches beforehand? also i really like how your sketches and lineart have that smooth and clean feeling to it, i can't seem to escape from my messy sketch stage and properly transition it to lineart since most of my art feels weird if i remove the sketch behind the lineart.. how do i practice making clean sketches and lineart like yours without letting go of the initial feeling of the sketch? :')) i apologize for the numerous questions ><
AAA Thank you so much for the questions tho Anon! This seems like fun to answer so here we go 😂 (I'll use pointers to make it easy to read)
how are you able to draw most things without reference? is it because you either drew them a lot, or are very observant of details? do you imagine the final piece in your mind before drawing it out or do you make several sketches beforehand? I think it's a combination of both, I draw the same thing over and over and I can say that I'm quite an observer as well. My (anime) art style hasn't changed over the years ever since I started drawing in high school and I think that's one of the few things that honed my skill, I think this makes it easier for me to start seeing complex shapes of the human body as a bunch of basic shapes 😂
i can't seem to escape from my messy sketch stage and properly transition it to lineart since most of my art feels weird if i remove the sketch behind the lineart.. how do i practice making clean sketches and lineart like yours without letting go of the initial feeling of the sketch? I think you can't really escape the feeling that your sketch will always look better and more dynamic than your lineart because it's just natural to happen, I remember coming across this post on twitter that explains the phenomenon
But if you're struggling with it and still want a clean lineart/sketch, you can do the sketch erasing trick, instead of creating a new layer for the lineart you can erase and tidy up the sketch with an eraser (with the pen pressure opacity turned on), this way it gives you both the clean look of the lineart and the dynamic lineweight of the sketch.
I hope this helps and I'm very sorry for the late reply 😭!!
