Hours: Sun - Fri 9am - 10pm, Sat 1:30pm - 11pm. JANUARY 01 - MARCH 31, 2018. NOTE: There's no opening or closing reception. Visitors are welcome... just contact me (through text or private message) so I can put you on the VIP guest list! This display represents an extensive overview of images photographed in New York, Italy, California and China from three series, ranging in framed sizes from 11x14 to 30x40. *Beyond The Platform (color images from subway platforms at night) *Urban Orchestra (contemporary views of architecture) *Polaroid Transfer prints. Artist Bio: Saunders actively works on several ongoing portfolios of fine art imagery that are displayed in solo and group exhibitions and held in the collections of Pfizer, Inc., GE Corporation, as well as other collections, corporate and private. Recognized by the Salmagundi Club of NY with a Certificate of Merit Award for her Polaroid transfer work, she is one of four artists featured in a Polaroid Corporation campaign that garnered a Magazine Publishers of America Kelly Award for Creative Excellence in Magazine Advertising. She has curated numerous exhibitions of night photography ND her night subway images are featured in the book “Night and Low-Light Photography”. More recently, Saunders was a resident artist of the NYC Space for Art program and recipient of a NYC Department of Cultural Affairs grant that enabled her to continue “Pioneers of Bushwick”, a portrait / text project about long-time residents in Bushwick, Brooklyn. The resulting photographic portraits and text were underwritten for a two-year public installation at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Prints on display are created in limited editions in several sizes, available for purchase. (at Terminal B - Newark Liberty International Airport)

While photographing at the March, I had the sinking feeling that our orange-haired man in office would give it little notice. And, although it was mobbed, there was a strange lack of ongoing righteous anger, wrathful exhortations & chanting - - where was the political passion! Cynical me realized it's very difficult to chant while taking selfies & hoisting cardboard cups of latte. Idealistic me was exceptionally gratified at the sight of so many men, women, children, people of all nationalities and ages for a "women's" event... in wheelchairs, on canes, blind, pets, hippies, freaks, babies. And with ballsy signage.
