One of my favorite parts of HoA is TenSoon having to pretend to be Kelsier to a bunch of skaa worshipers. He's so uncomfortable ToT Like "Ah yes! It's me! The Survivor! And I need, ah, directions."

I honestly can’t fucking believe that I never figured out Sazed was the Hero of Ages. The first line of the book is literally a passage from his book that says “I am, unfortunately, the Hero of Ages.” Ok fine I didn’t know that it was his book then, but it’s so clearly written in Sazed’s hand. It’s very thoughtfully written and has an air of quiet contemplation that’s just so characteristically Sazed. Even while I was reading it, I kept thinking of it as something Sazed had written, to the point that I started wondering if it had been written by a Keeper he had trained, or something to that effect. At the very least, the prophecies should have given it away. “Carries the fate of the world on his arms?” Copperminds. Fucking copperminds. At the very least, it should have been clear that it wasn’t referring to Vin. I love her, but I wouldn’t exactly call her a king/queen of men. She’s not shunned by her people, at least not to the degree implied by the prophecy. And the biggest contradiction: “he shall not be a warrior, though he will fight.” There is absolutely no way that this could apply to Vin, no matter how you stretch it. So yeah, I’ve got no idea how I missed this, but I can say with certainty that it was fucking brilliant.

Say what you wanna say about Kelsier but that man knew how to love and he loved with a raw fucking passion.

For years he was led to believe that Mare had mercilessly betrayed him before she died and yet he still insanely loved and missed her — something that he stated as a simple fact and not as a guilty confession.

Kelsier and Mare had 0 page-time together, but they still managed to snatch my fucking heart and push my expectations through the roof precisely because of how Kelsier talked about her! Is there anyone who does it like him? Hell nah!

I think pierced ears and earrings are cool and all, but I’m not a fan of wearing earrings all the time because they allow the evil god of change and war and destruction to influence your thoughts emotions and actions and prevent the god of safety and peace and preservation from helping you and giving you extra superpowers and letting you share references to your favorite book series.

dear nintendo. for the next breath of the wild game please have the plot be link and zelda attempting to undo the draconification of farosh, naydra, and dinraal. you can then connect the BOTW/TOTK lore back to the triforce, discussing farore, nayru, and din, the hero cycle, etc. it would be such a satisfying completion to the story AND it might allow for zelda to actually participate in some of the storyline as it’s happening rather than the player only seeing her in memories of the past like the last two games. thank you
