Hello.

This isn't going to be a fun post.

I'm sure some of you have noticed I've not been postning much and mostly reposting stuff.

Well, I've been pretty busy with school, family and life in general (other reasons that is more private as well). So I'm taking a step back. I'll stop postning, maybe forever. For awhile onwards, I might keep reposting other peoples post, although that will graduly fade out. I'm sad to say that this is good bye.

I'm sorry to those asks and requests I've not been able to do. I'll miss this community and my mutuals.

Btw Asher at the beginning of the first summit video not being able to find his other shoe just confirms to me that he's the type of guy who instead of taking off his shoes normally, just kicks them off and sends them flying off to who knows where and when he and David were roommates David would always scold him and tell him to place them by the door instead of leaving "obstacles" in the hallway

And if I may be disgusting for but a moment— I chose this gesture specifically because it means “I love you” in ASL, as I’m sure you know. I’m mostly deaf in one ear, and was taught ASL as a precaution when I was little. Now, I use it often when I’m non-verbal. But Fox, my husband, is an Asher carbon copy, and he learned ASL for me. He learned ASL for me. So this one’s for him :)

Hi there!

Happy late new year and late holidays! I saw that your requests were open and got really excited! I absolutely love the Shaw pack, and was wondering if you would be willing to write a fic with a get together like the solstice or summer trips they go on? Maybe with a little hurt/comfort? :) My favourite relationship is David/Angel but I also love any of the other ones. Thanks!

So I decided to make this a sneakpeak of something that I've been working on for ao3. I'll link the whole thing! I hope it's to your liking and thank you for the request!

You can not belive how exited I was when I got this request, I've been working on this for awhile now and this gave me the final motivation to finish it!

(My Babe is jewish like in all my other fics)

*Angel* 

The place looked just like the pictures, if not more beautiful. “It’s perfect” Angel mumbles, the box of decorations heavy in their hands. David nodded in agreement, picking up the cooler bag and starting to carry it into the main house. Angels pulses through the snow after him, fumbling to get the key out. 

They’re mesmerised by the beauty of the landscape, filled with snow and glittering in the afternoon light. Tomorrow is the big night, but today after setting everything up, they would have the whole place for themselves. The cabin would later be shared with Asher and Milo plus their mates, but tonight it was all for themselves. They were definitely looking forward to being in the hot tub with him, all alone. 

The main house had a high ceiling and a lot of open space. It was perfect, the vibe was just right and the kitchen was big enough to fit everybody and the food. Yeah, perfect. 

David came through the door with another cooler and two more boxes of decorations. “What do you want to do first?” he asks, motioning towards the different decorations. Angel smiles and puts down their box and a table. “Well it’s smartest to put the lights up first, seeing as everything else will be in the way after that” they reasoned out loud, “after that the moons in the ceiling and then the glitter maybe”. David nodded and put the two other boxes next to the first one. “But first, the food” he says, walking towards the kitchen. Angel soon follows him, after taking in the cozyness of the place one last time.  

After five hours of decorating and preparing what they can, Angel and David were done for the day. And they were both very much looking forward to the rest that awaited them in the form of a hot tub. And when they were both stripped down to just swimwear and the hot water engulfed them, they could feel their muscles relax. David strong arms brough Angel flush against his chest, their lip meeting in a passionate kiss. Angels hands grasping his biceps, pressing themselves against him, placing themselves in his lap, soft thighs spread over his muscular ones. He started kissing down their neck, callused hand roaming over their body tenderly. Slowly tilting their head back, giving their man better access to kiss their sensitive body. Their hands wander away from his arms, over his chest, abs and crawling further down his torso. 

*Babe* 

The drive from their brothers house, back to Dahlia and to the place that was rented for the solstice was a long one. Asher was by far the more skilled and patient driver between them, considering Babe drove their motorcycle almost everywhere when they were alone. So the driving schedule mainly consisted of Asher driving, Babe feeding him snacks, playing music and reading the GPS, with occasional driver switches, where Babe would drive for like an hour before Asher switched back to being behind the wheel. But no matter how much Babe asked him to keep both hands on the wheel, he always had one resting on their thigh, drawing small patterns with his thumb over their soft flesh. And God knows they would be lying if they said that they didn’t like it. His warms hand on them felt like fire, and those butterflies hadn’t left their body yet. 

Taking a piece of the candy and holding it up to Asher, he sticks his tongue out and they place the piece on it. Quickly the hand that previously was situated on their thigh flew up and grabbed their hand, bringing it to his lips, placing a tender kiss on their knuckles. Babe felt their cheeks glowing red, and their eyes averting his gaze.

They absolutely knew how to fluster Asher, but always got way more blushy when he did it back. 

Asher placed his hand back on their thigh, now with their hand in his bigger ones. “I love you babe”. 

*Angel*

“Well, today is the big day” Milo smiled, in the kitchen together with his mate and David, cooking the food that wasn’t prepared the day before. Angel was putting out plates, cutlery and drinking glasses. Three big tables, and one smaller one, for the kids. David put his hands on Angels hips to move them a bit to the left, placing a pan with fried vegetables on the table. 

Gregory and Gabe had invested in those heating or cooling food plates, and that was a day like this a saviour. David had kept them and they were now standing warm on the table. 

“AAH sweetheart I swear to God” Milo shrieks, dropping the tasting spoon onto the kitchen counter. Sweetheart had, like usual cloaked and scared Milo, just for fun. Angel smiled, the dynamic between Milon and his mate was unchanged and provided as much entertainment as per usual. Sweetheart laughed like a maniac and Angel could see a smirk building on Davids lips, clearly enjoying seeing his friend spooked. 

“I’m glad you’re having fun and enjoying yourself, but why does it always have to be at MY expense” Milo quipped, his heavy accent prominent. 

An hour later, people started arriving, Asher and his mate being one of the first ones to arrive. 

“Wow, my beta, on time and EARLY for once, what a miracle” David exclaimed when Asher walked through the door of the main house. “Maybe there really is a God” he added, the last comment directed at Babe, one of the few religious people in the pack. They laughed and poked their mate in the side. “Yeah, we wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for God, considering how risky you were driving there at the end” Babe smirked at their mate, giving Angel a knowing wink when David and Asher wasn’t looking. David scolding Asher about risky driving, and Asher in turn saying Babe was just saying that for dramatic effect.  Angel felt happy, content that their friend, family, was all gathered, and things were like they used to be. “Everything will work out, and we’re gonna be okay. I’m so grateful for them all” Angel thought, but were snapped out when Babe grabbed their hand. “Is the kitchen empty?” they asked and Angel nodded, presuming that it was. So Babe started walking towards it, motioning to Angel to follow them.

I am of the firm belife that Asher knows how to dance, and is really good at it. I like to belive that Asher and Babe dance in their living room and kitchen mutiple times a week, at any hour of the day. They have several designated dance playlists. One with classic and slow music, one with more catchy music and one with folk music from Babes home country/region (Slavic and Caucasus + jewish, because Babe is basicly me). I also like to think that Babe teaches Asher folk dance, and he has also taken help from Babes friends and family to acctually get good at it. And God knows he has.

Ashers favorite is definitely hip hop and street dance, but he'll do anything that makes Babe happy. Like if they wanna slow dance to waltz at 3 am then he will, and he'll be the happiest man on earth doing it.

Headcanons for the Shaw Pack's 2024 Resolutions (and How They Aim to Achieve Them)

David: Unplug more. He plans to set an alarm each night to remind himself to turn off his email notifications. (The pack would call him or howl if it were an emergency.) It's harder than he anticipates and he can't stop himself from opening the app like a bad new habit, only adding to his anxiety and workaholic tendencies. To prevent himself from checking his emails after the designated "turn-off time", David enlists Angel to "monitor" his behavior. They are more than happy to distract David whenever he starts to fidget with his phone.

Angel: Establish a morning routine. Angel presumes that simply getting up earlier would automatically give them time to do all the things they want to, such as savor their tea, make their bed, work out, read, and take a long and luxurious shower, but it turns out it is not that easy. Angel struggles to get up at the designated earlier time, and even when they do, they always end up getting bogged down by other things. David helps Angel reach their goal by encouraging them to use a special grapefruit body lotion that he knows they (and he) love after their shower each morning. That way, they can feel and smell the evidence that even if the morning got away from them, they did add one element to their new routine.

Asher: Always be on time. Asher is sick of the jokes about his tardiness, so he decides to put an end to it once and for all by setting all of his clocks ahead about twenty minutes, so even if he is late on Asher-time, he's still punctual according to the real time. Babe supports his plan by agreeing to have all their clocks show the wrong time.

Babe: Smile more. Babe aims to find more reasons to smile. They are someone who always takes things quite seriously, and often struggle to find joy in the small things so many others seem to observe innately. Asher decides to make it a point to send Babe one joke video/meme at a random point in each day to help them along. Over time, Asher enlists many other pack members to do the same, resulting in Babe receiving multiple happy messages with no warning. They don't know what makes them smile more, the memes or the realization that so many people are invested in their happiness.

Milo: Be more adventurous. Left to his own devices, Milo has realized he's fallen into a bit of a rut. He makes the same recipes, works the same hours, trains the same gymnastics routine, listens to the same playlists, watches the same TV shows, etc. etc. He decides it's time to shake things up a bit, so he tries to do something new and unexpected at least once a day. If he starts to retreat into his rut again, Sweetheart will gently remind Milo of his goal, rationalizing that after he does the new thing, Milo will either find something he likes and will want to do again, or he'll know he'll never want to do it again and never has to.

Sweetheart: They don't do resolutions. There's no reason the first of the year necessitates them to set goals and put a time limit on them. They have lots of goals, and they will meet all of them without arbitrary pressure. Although, they'd really like to be able to learn a new language, and if they so happened to make enough progress to have a conversation in that new language with a citizen in need at work by the end of the year, well, that'd be great... Milo knows they won't accept help if he calls their goal a "resolution" so he steers clear of the label and instead, encourages Sweetheart to find time to practice.

Darling: Be more organized. Darling has learned to be okay with a lot in their life, and organization was often something they didn't have time or energy to create for themselves. Now that they do, Darling decides to reorganize everything in the house, one room at a time, so that the house looks as wonderful as it makes Darling feel to call it home. When they feel overwhelmed by the work, Sam shows them a "before" picture of the mess so that Darling can see the incremental progress they make each step of the way.

Sam: Run a half-marathon, the human way. As a human, Sam kept fit, though he always aspired to run long distances. He consistently made excuses, until suddenly, he realized that "next year" was no longer guaranteed. Once he learned to control his vampire powers, Sam could run faster and farther than he ever thought possible, but that didn't mean he had truly reached his goal. This year, Sam decides to take up running and to train (sans leaning on his powers) to for an upcoming half-marathon in July. Darling, of course, takes up the role of trainer. As a human, they accompany Sam to the track to help him practice and pace himself. As a wolf, they give him some extra incentive by chasing him.
