Hi, I'm Faye, In 2007 I was handed a trunkful of diaries from my Uncle, they had belonged to my Grandad Joe and spanned 20 years. After many hours of reading I had some very vivid pictures in my mind of what each day had held for my Grandad, due to the...

I decided last month that, although I’ll be continuing my daily photo diary, which runs from 30th March to 30th March - my birthday, this has been the final year that I will upload to tumblr. I’m keeping my account open so that people will always be able to find and share the surprisingly, yet overwhelmingly, successful bee and sugar-water picture (as of today it’s received over 556,143 shares) but from tonight I will no longer be adding to this blog.
Continue saving the bees and encouraging others to do so, people, we need those little guys in the world 🐝🐝🐝
As for myself…..this is my exit.
Goodnight and Goodbye xx 👋

Friday 30th March 2018: When he suggests spending the day at Rufford Abbey, Notts, for my birthday so we can make new memories there together!!!!.....seriously, I wish everyone could experience this kind of love. He's seen me fight the corner of people not worth fighting for, he's seen me devastated by the cruelty of those I considered friends and he's seen me fall to my knees, defeated, when I thought I had nothing left to give. It's only now I see that HE has always been my strongest, silent supporter. He picks me up and fixes me when no one else would ever know that I'm broken, he gets me back on my feet and pushes me forward, marching me on every step of the way. He doesn't lead and he doesn't follow, he simply walks beside me but, in doing so, has proven to ALWAYS have my back in the truest sense. For that I love and adore you Steven Howells. Once again you listened and acknowledged that I have a deep love of Rufford Abbey and in your own inimitable way, you created something beautiful for me here today....new memories. OUR memories to help me replace the old, painful, deceitful, dishonourable one's that were still weighing me down. You fix everything with love and you know my heart. Thank you for making this the most perfect birthday, I love you xx

Wednesday 21st March 2018: Oh just look at that face! I've loved this man since I was 14 but, as an adult, reading and learning about his life has opened up a whole new world. What an absolute icon he was. Yes, my fixation with him has now reached epic levels, everyone needs an obsession, mine just happens to be 72 years older than me....and dead! I guess that's safe enough!

Friday 16th March 2018: Ste and I went to visit Su and David in their new home in Horsforth this evening. The house is old and beautiful with great character but what was even more wonderful to see was how well Penny (lurcher) and Archie (chihuahua) are getting along. Since the sad passing of Bertie (chihuahua) last month it’s been hard to imagine everyone getting together without Bertie being there, for a little dog he had a big personality and an even bigger presence….you certainly knew when he was in the room! but, thankfully, it looks like Archie is beginning to heal some broken hearts - Penny’s included :)

Thursday 15th March 2018: This was a great little find today. The bigger supermarket chains are increasingly offering dairy free products, they still have a long way to go but it’s proof that alternatives are out there and I’m pleased that a big chain like ASDA are beginning to recognise the demand (and not just because it's alcohol either!)
