1000xRESIST (Game Review)
"Trauma—and how people cope with it—varies greatly from person to person and culture to culture. While that may sound like a familiar idea, 1000xRESIST by Sunset Visitor brings it to life with striking depth, using a powerful generational narrative centered on a mother and her daughters to explore the enduring echoes of pain and resistance. While playing, I found myself grasping for any thread of connection I could, pulled in by the game’s layered emotional narrative. It was a little more difficult than I'd like to admit—after all, I know I'm not some key to saving the human race, lol—but a handful of these conversations still resonated with me. Even setting aside the cultural references, I felt like it could’ve been me walking the halls of those schools or part of the crew on The 50."
"This game might not be for everyone—it leans heavily into visual novel territory and could be described as a walking sim, so if you're more into fast-paced action games, it might not grab you right away like it did me. But if you appreciate a powerful story and sharp dialogue, you should definitely give it a try."
