I see a lot of people on here that want to watch power rangers or have a friend that they want to (lovingly) bully into it, but they don't know the best seasons to start with. DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF WATCHING IT IN CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER (MMPR first). As much as I LOVE Zordon Era, it can be a little boring/too childish for first time viewers. The BEST way to watch power rangers, if you're new (in my opinion), is to start with RPM. Then, when you're done with that, work your way back in reverse chronological order (RPM to Jungle Fury, etc.) until you get to the end of Ninja Storm. Then, watch Lost Galaxy to Wild Force. Watch Zeo after that. THEN, you can watch MMPR. Watch it s1 to s3. After that, make the choice on whether you want to watch Turbo or not. If you can make it through all seasons of mighty morphin, you can make it through Turbo, I think. Watch In Space as a treat afterwards. After that, watch any neosaban/hasbo season that you want. This, I believe, is the best way to watch power rangers if you've never seen it before.
Disney Era and Post-Zordon era don't really have any prior context needed to enjoy them, so I think starting there is your best bet. You could always watch Zeo after Mighty Morphin, but most people agree that Zeo is better than MMPR. TURBO SHOULD NOT BE WATCHED BEFORE POST ZORDON ERA/DISNEY ERA. I love Turbo a lot, but it can make people want to stop watching PR pretty quickly. This is why I feel like this order is the best. I mean, take this with a grain of salt, but I think this might be a good way to introduce someone to the series.

I see a lot of people hating on Kevin for worshipping Jayden so much and, I have to be honest, I used to as well. After I rewatched Samurai, I realized that he's probably been told since he was a little kid that he has to serve the Shiba family in whatever way he can and that if he doesn't, innocent people could get hurt. It's not just Jayden that he acts that way with, either, he does it with Lauren as well. The whole thing probably started when he was young. The whole reason he started doing swimming in the first place was likely because his dad (his coach) wanted him to. He doesn't know how to do things for himself. He was raised to take orders and serve other people. That might be why Mike irritates him so much. Mike gets to be free while Kevin watches on in jealousy. Kevin is a soldier. That's the way he was raised. It makes me upset that he got the ending that he did. I wish he had gotten a well-deserved crashout and a break.

I'm so in love with PR timeline posts. This makes so much sense. 10/10.
I was thinking if i keep rpm in the main timeline, not only would it explain the desert wastelands in Time Force as well as mutants (radioactivity due to the environmental destruction by Venjix in the survivors who did not reach Corinth adding up and becoming drastic mutations over generations) but also SPD stuff (the usual aliens coming in to help rebuild Earth and New Tech, BUT ALSO the fear towards robots and cyborgs Bridge and others had. S.o.p.h.i.e could have been a former hybrid. Maybe if hybrids have kids, they pass on nanotech to the kids.)

Y'all, I wanna post about stuff that's not Fandom related so bad, but... is that.. allowed? Like, can I do that? I feel like people would be mad at me for some reason. Also, I know I post about kids shows mostly, because I watch them/like them the most, but I do watch other shows. I just don't post about them. I watch SPN, and Stranger Things, and Merlin, and all kinds of popular shows like that, but I feel like I would be tainting my account by posting about both, y'know? Like, I feel like I should have two accounts or something, so that the silly posts about kids shows aren't next to a bunch of posts about adult shows. Thoughts?

Rita Repulsa is the ultimate morning person.
“After ten thousand years I’m free! Time to conquer Earth!”
Like, the first thing I want to do when I wake up is go back to sleep and then after a while maybe I can gather the motivation to have some toast. Rita’s got big goals straight away and I admire that.

Just watched the Turbo movie for the first time. Y'all.. Lerigot is so incredibly scary. This horrible creature deep from the uncanny valley strikes both fear and immeasurable malice into my heart. WHY did they make him look like that?? If I had watched this for the first time as a kid, I would have nightmares about this fool every. night. Tommy and Kat deserve a Nobel peace prize for not killing this terrible creature out of reflex the first time that they saw him. Also, WHY did they send Kat and Tommy to Africa in the first place?? Tanya is FROM Africa. Aisha LIVES in Africa. Why didn't they just ask her to do it? The Turbo movie honestly feels like a fever dream. Maybe Rocky was just in a coma the whole time and the movie was just a messed up dream. I love, more than anything, how a third of the way through the movie, they go, "AND THERES CARS NOW. GET USED TO IT." Then, they find out that their new teammate is a TEN YEAR OLD. His feet can't even reach the pedals!!! They gave him GUNS as a weapon?!?! 10/10 for satire, 2/10 for execution. Loved every minute.

I WAS JUST THINKING ABOUT THIS. It makes no sense. I wish they had tried just a little bit harder and had done just a little bit of research on their own shows, y'know?
SPD's place in the PR timeline is so interesting in its execution because modern seasons act like they're only just building to SPD beginning to exist as a concept in 2025 but it's a plot point in the series itself that it's around for at least twenty years since B-Squad's parents were involved in it. It's why they have their civilian powers and Sky's dad dying in action as a Red Ranger is the centerpiece of his character. Adam and Aisha should not have been "foreshadowing" SPD with whatever SPA is they should have JUST BEEN SPD

I don't know how anyone can ship Kira and Conner together. They have such older sister/younger brother energy. You can't tell me that they don't. These two bully eachother FOR SURE. They have to be bickering constantly. There's no way that they aren't. Desperately need more Dino Thunder found family fics. They are THE found family.

Y'all, I have recently been very addicted to rewatching power rangers. The hyperfixation came back out of nowhere. The convention wasn't even what brought it back. I didn't even know it was happening. As usual, it was a long video essay that did it. I hate that it has (what feels like) such a small active Fandom. There are only so many people that post about and write about it now. I wish more people liked it.

Hot take incoming!! I really would like to read a fic where only Leo joins LREF. He's the only one without a bionic chip, which means he never had his melted in the finale. If the chip situation was a little more permanent and they could only send Leo, things would've worked out a lot differently. Adam and Bree would have finally gotten the chance to be normal people and Leo would have finally gotten the chance to become more responsible. I really do think that a team with Leo, Oliver, and Kaz has a sort of fun underdog energy to it, as well. I also love the dynamic that he had with Kaz in the crossover episode. It really does feel like he would fit in perfectly with Kaz and Oliver. Chase is amazing, and I really love his character, but Leo really needed his time to shine. Leo was very smart as well. He liked engineering and tech almost as much as Chase did, so he could've been the team's hacker/tech guy. The fact that the three of them didn't have any kind of powers or abilities until the end (or towards the end, in Leo's case) of their shows gives them such "Team Human" vibes. Like, I feel like it would be easier to focus on their emotions and working through their trauma if it was just the three of them. They are not as experienced as the other characters are, so there would be more growth for them. All of the Davenkids are great, and I love them all equally, but ABC really should've gotten to retire.

Yes, yes, yes! I love this. I didn't even think about Bree's lungs and muscles! I did think about the fact that she must have something regulating her heart, though. The whole speeding up when she runs and dropping when she stops could cause her to faint. Maybe she has a pacemaker-like thing that keeps her heart rate relatively even, so that she doesn't get sick or pass out. It doesn't really make sense (in Which Father Knows Best) that her heart had a lot of stress on it from her running so much. If her heart gets really fast when she runs, then why doesn't she have problems with it all the time? Would love to read a fic with health-ish stuff like this in it!
Chip Switch
I love Lab Rats, it's my favorite show and I rewatch it constantly. It is not without its faults. Chip Switch (1 x 12) is an episode I have a major gripe with. Bear with me I'm gonna yap a lot about this.
Ignoring the medical improbability of bionics, I think that the idea of the chip being the only thing that makes them Bionic is unlikely. Not only are they genetically engineered -mentioned multiples times throughout the show- they likely have biotech throughout their bodies. For example when Chase activates his hearing, we see a sequence of wires in his car canal or the USB in his finger. I believe the chip is mainly the power source and code for the Biotech.
Taking this into account with the chip switch it should've caused way more problems then it did. They're all engineered to have muscles, speed, and agility (at least in my headcannon). However they don't share the same biotech. Adam likely has most of in his major muscles and bones, as a result to support his major ability to retain muscle, he has to eat a lot. Bree even more so, her biotech increasing her lung capacity, bone strength, and muscles in her legs. Chase has to have the most, in highly dangerous places like his orbital nerves, brain, ears, and muscles for agility. Chase is the only one of the three with tech in his car canal, so when Bree has his chip while it might slightly enhance her hearing, it would be no where near Chase's hearing. They also would not have been able to access microscopic sight or the computer in his brain.
When Chase had Adam's chip, I find it weird that suddenly his intelligence went down the drain, as if he forgot everything he might have learned with his chip and from Davenport. Unless the chip for some reason interferes with intelligence but I don't think thats possible. With Bree's it makes sense that they can all use it with varying degrees of success due to enhanced muscles, trouble breathing and pain are very likely. Adam's chip would be similar.
I think the episode would've been cooler taking into account how bionics and their genetics work together. More glitches and giving the audience a firmer grasp on how they work. All of them have different abilities so their genetics have to intrinsically intertwined with their bionics.
Let me know what you think! I'd love to hear how other people think the bionics works.
