CADAM GROUP NEW PREMISES FOR SPRING 2020

Cadam Group are pleased to announce the construction of our new Hybrid office and storage unit.  Located on Blackburn Road a stones throw from junction 34 M1, the new premises have been designed and specified from many years’ experience in the construction industry, including renewable energy sources.  The new premises are a giant leap forward in the groups sustainable and secure growth plans. Cadam Construction are pleased to announce we are now an appointed contractor for EN:Procure’s New Build Housing framework.

EN:Procure, the procurement arm of Efficiency North, has awarded contracts to 29 contractors over 4 lots on its new EN:Procure New Build Housing framework. 

With an anticipated pipeline of £340m over its 4-year lifetime, the more efficient and flexible framework will offer a leading-edge supply chain for the construction of social housing for Efficiency North’s social housing landlord members, who own and manage more than 80% of the social housing stock within the Yorkshire and Humber region.  

The new framework is predominantly for social housing in Yorkshire and Humber but may extend to other public buildings such as schools and offices and other areas of the UK.

LABC AWARD NOMINATION; THE CENTRE AT BRINSWORTH

Our Design and build project, the new Community Centre in Brinsworth, Rotherham has been nominated for an award at the prestigious Building Control; Building Excellence Awards 2019. The finals are to be held on the 17th May at Forest Pines Hotel. Watch this space for news on our result, fingers crossed the project wins.

NEW CONTRACT, NURSERY CONVERSION AT KIMBERWORTH SUPERBOWL

We are pleased to announce a new project commencement, employed by Kids World Kimberworth to convert the former ‘New World’ shops which have stood derelict for many years attached to the Superbowl building in Rotherham, to a children’s nursery. The new nursery will be fully fitted out with air conditioning, full kitchen/laundry, ample toilets, service areas and spacious, external and internal play areas.  The nursery is due to open early spring, watch our news feeds for completed photos.

CONTRACT COMPLETION: ‘THE CENTRE’

Cadam Construction are proud to have completed the contract to design and build Rotherham’s newest community events venue.  Situated on Brinsworth Lane, ‘The Centre’ @ Brinsworth hosts a fully equipped events hall with bar and kitchen, whilst providing flexibility with a folding acoustic partition.  The large concourse area provides spacious breakout areas with bravista café and luxury WC facilities. A Fully furnished and networked resource centre provides facilities for training courses and meetings.

A large rear carpark was created by building a 40m long 3m high retaining wall, which was one of many challenges overcome while the project was undertaken.

SCHOOL REFURBISHMENT AT BRINSWORTH MANOR INFANTS, KEEPS OUR TEAM BUSY THIS SUMMER

As part of the Rotherham Council framework we were successfully awarded the contract to refurbish Brinsworth Manor Infants School, Rotherham, phase 1 was completed on time for the school to return on Tuesday 4th September.

The project consisted of fully refurbishing most classrooms, all toilet blocks and full alterations to the entrance lobby and cloak area, of which we are pleased to showcase the completed project below. 

To ensure completion to the fixed deadline, we worked closely with our trusted suppliers and contractors along with our directly employed workforce, who have all worked evenings and weekends to ensure the project was completed.  We cannot thank enough all who were involved for their efforts along with the school staff who have been patient while the work was undertaken.

OFFICE FITOUT CONTRACTS COMPLETED

We are pleased to have completed 2 office fit out contracts over the last three months, working at the South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue head office in Sheffield, we completed a fit out of 2 bespoke meeting rooms, all work was completed after hours.

Our second contract was for a Barnsley based education recruitment company, a full remodel of the ground floor was undertaken to provide; interview rooms, offices and staff kitchen.

SPRING UPDATE: BRINSWORTH COMMUNITY CENTRE

After one of the wettest winters for decades along with a roof supplier entering administration, we are delighted that the latest spell of good weather is helping get back on track, as we still aim to complete the project for the middle of summer 2018.  We would like to thank all residents and visitors to the adjacent school who have been patient this winter and look forward to handing over a quality finished building which will host highly equipped and spacious facilities for the public to enjoy for many years to come.  Photo update end of April:

NEW COMMUNITY CENTRE STILL ON TRACK FOR COMPLETION MID 2018

Our major contract to construct the new Brinsworth Parish Council Community centre is still on track for completion the middle of this year, despite the weather we are pushing ahead with a large team of bricklayers while we fight the cold snap this winter. 

We are pleased to showcase photos of the completed steel work just before Christmas and the finished Revit model produced by Martin Walsh Architectural, who were appointed by ourselves under the design and build contract.

NEW 11 PLOT DEVELOPMENT SECURED; BELLWOOD COURT, HOYLAND, BARNSLEY

Cadam Developments are pleased to have secured planning on the groups second residential development, the site is situated on Bellwood Crescent Hoyland. The characterful designed cul-de-sac is to be named Bellwood Court, consisting of 3 and 4 bedroom homes.

NEW CONTRACT AWARDED: BRINSWORTH PARISH COUNCIL COMMUNITY HALL

We are pleased to announce we have been awarded the contract for the construction of the new community hall for Brinsworth Parish Council in Rotherham.

The existing hall (pictured below) is to be demolished, replaced by a modern building consisting of a resource centre, cafe, IT and meeting rooms. The main hall will have the capacity for large functions along with a large kitchen and bar.  Work is to commence as soon as possible.  

We are pleased to be working with our clients on such a high-profile project, to create a building that will be the heart of the community for people within and around Brinsworth, we will update our news feed with progress of the project.
