If they are gonna ban gender affirming care, the least they could do is include lifted and squatted trucks in the legislation

Would anyone recommend songs or playlists for the raven cycle? Please, because I'm making a playlist but I don't have any ideas right now. I have only added four songs😭

I don't remember if this is actually mentioned, but I think the idea was like Upton Sinclair The Jungle vibes. The idea of mangled flesh. The unknown consumption of another. Etc etc.
on the topic of fears and how they were handled, I think they really could have done more with Flesh outside of meat. while I understand why it was established as a more modern fear born as a result of the industrial revolution (which tbh I still don't understand the logic of, animals would fear being slaughtered, no? I don't think they have a capacity to understand they're slaughtered to be eaten). however, since hunger is a part of it I wish it was one of the older fears, on par with Dark. fear of hunger is incredibly prevalent! a generation experiencing scarcity and/or famine shapes the next one. hungry death in itself is already terrifying, it's painful and prolonged and people would eat anything just to feel their stomachs. it's your body devouring yourself. yes, we have that woman's letter about her refusing to eat her husband but I feel it was more about the cannibalism than the hunger that leads to it, if it makes sense?
also! it would be interesting to explore in season 4 with Daisy and Jon both starving, losing strength. Daisy is slowly dying and so would Jon had he given up statements completely

I think all parties and clubs would be significantly improved if we all broke out into synchronized dance a la Disney Channel Musicals and Wicked

in order to be “jest like yer deddy” (the redneck father’s daughter), one must grow up glued to their father’s side.
my father was a redneck and i was glued to his side. which means i’ve done a whole lotta redneck bull hockey and tom foolery in the name of spending time with dear old dad.
i spent a lot of my october and november weekends sitting on an upturned five gallon bucket watching my breath fog while waiting for the sun to come up so i’d have enough light to read whatever book my dad bought me to keep me quiet.
and he needed me to be quiet because he was dove hunting and i was seldom ever not in his line of sight, so i’d tag along and he’d indulge me and buy me stories even though i had no interest in the hunt.
i’m sure there’s an irony in my loving my dad so much i’d sit in the cold just to watch him kill things, but that’s not the point of this.
anyway. the sun would come up, i’d be placed a good ten feet behind all these men and their guns, my dad would make sure my earplugs were secure and my nose wasn’t too cold, and then they’d open fire.
once a bird was shot, they’d go and get it. i can’t remember what they did with them. that part doesn’t matter.
but what i do remember is after the safeties were on and the shotgun barrels were pointed skyward, my dad would “let” me run out and get the birds for him.
i say “let” because when i was a kid i thought bird fetching was a very important and serious job.
he died a few months ago and our relationship got complicated in the way they’re bound to do when daughters realize pain is something they inherit from their fathers.
when i was writing his eulogy i was thinking of happy childhood thoughts and i remembered the “hunting trips.” and how big and important i felt being the one who went to get the birds.
he’d shoot. i’d fetch. he’d tell me to sit. and we’d do it over and over and over again. and that’s when the revelation came.
i was the fucking bird dog.

I think we forget that they all are hopelessly romantic. Like we get so caught up in "angry emo boy who is actually a big romantic softie" that we forget.
We forget Adam Parrish. How desperate he is to show love. How much he craves it.
We forget Blue "I'm in love with all of them" Sargent.
We forget Richard Campbell Gansey III and "she makes me feel quiet"
They are all pathetic and I love them

So I feel like somebody talked about this a while ago but I don't remember who and what platform so I'm just writing it out because I'm thinking and thinking and thinking
The taboos in TLT series are different from ours (in regards to the Houses) because Jod fucked around and did a factory reset on everyone and everything. This means that Job had the ability to not teach and instill homophobia, sexism, etc.
When we see characters be dickheads to each other, we tend to project our understanding of biases, discrimination, and marginalized identities onto them (e.g. Silas is sexist and hates women). But those characters are dicks to each other not because of their identities as marginalized people, but because of their identities as assholes. The fighting between each other has nothing to do with a gross characterization of a large group of people, but rather a distaste for the individual in particular (except for the beef the eighth has again the ninth, but that's unrelated).
Any and all taboos would have been created because of Jod, and subsequently his band of less than merry friends. This group of friends, as we know, was made of many cav/necro lovers. This friend group was incredibly codependent and in equal measure craved freedom, craved the ability to help and do more. This friend group didn't want to leave each other behind but they also didn't want to live in a castle together for all eternity when there was shit to get done. So this friend group studied. And experimented. And studied some more. They used science and magic hand in hand to try and replicate a miracle that took place before they were reborn. A miracle none of them witnessed but surely happened.
This friend group did it. They cracked the miracle. But something went wrong. It was wrong. They did it wrong. But they had come too far and things needed to happen. Bigger things than each of them. So one by one, despite the wishes of one another, their friend group dropped in number. One. By. One.
One. By. One. Cavalier sacrificed themselves for the sainthood of their necromancer. One. By. One. A necromancer witnessed the death of their cavalier.
One. By. One. Partner sacrificed themselves for the sainthood of their other half. One. By. One. Their other half witnessed the death of their partner.
One flesh, one end sounded like poetry until you were faced with your own sudden, horrible immortality. One flesh, one end sounded like poetry until you were faced with the sudden, horrible mortality of the love of your life.
This is a horrible and cruel thing. But the world is full of horrible and cruel things. And this is simply the way of necro and cav. It is the goal, in the grand scheme of things, to serve the Emperor, and how better to do that then for eternity. So, to make this goal a less horrible and cruel thing, necro and cav romances were forbidden. They were taboo. Because how can you expect someone to watch their love die and live with that for eternity. Live with the fact it was their fault.

Do you ever think that maybe Harrow chose Gideon as her cav simply to keep her at a distance in a last desperate attempt to hold her close? Like there were obvious logistical reasons involved for making Gideon her cav, but if Harrow really wanted too, she could find another way, consequences be damned. Instead, she chose to drag the love of her life her arch nemesis across the solar system with her in a plot to save the ninth. A plot that involves them being desperately and intrinsically connected in a way only necro and cav are, but while codependent, being anything more- romantically/physically intimate -is taboo. We see that Harrow (and Gideon) takes these taboos to heart when she is shocked by Magnus and Abigail (love good ol' Catholic judgement). This means that Harrow does not expect or anticipate anything to come of their new partnership but she still chose to bring Gideon because how is she supposed to let go.
