I really like the song if I had a million dollars by the barenaked ladies but I'm not allowed to listen to if I had a million dollars by the barenaked ladies bc it immediately causes psychic damage (having if I had a million dollars by the barenaked ladies stuck in my head for a dozen hours)

Naps are a forbidden technique, I think. If you pull them off just right you'll access a pool of near-endless rejuvenating power, but if you mess up some inscrutable part of the ritual your vitality and might will be sapped and you'll be left at the mercy of your opponents
#don't nap lying down#and/or#don't nap in the same position you go to sleep in#if you nap in a recliner or something#like I used to take naps in my car on my lunch break#just recline enough so you can relax your neck without your head flopping down#it makes it much easier for your body to natually wake#also timing#if you have a relatively average sleep schedule#between 1-3pm is peak naptime#you should only nap for 10-20mins#but try to avoid setting a timer if possible#because it's best to let your body wake itself up#which you will NOT do if you are cozy in bed#so don't do that#I also sometimes lay on my bed on my back with my knees up#I'm a side sleeper at night#and always on top of the covers#tho I'll stick my toes under a blanket if it's chilly#anyway#nap tips

I would like to share the story of a very understandable but unfortunate mistake i made at work recently
So I'm weeding our ancient and terrible collection of children's books for the first time in possibly ever, and I'm making a decision about a book about migrant workers by Sandra Weiner, called Small Hands, Big Hands. And I'm not 100% sure and I go to just see if there's anything out there about this book's being notable in any way so I do an open web search for
"small hands big hands weiner"
And then I look at my results for a moment
and then at last I somberly add to the end of my search, "BOOK"

I don't know exactly how to articulate this but... if you repeatedly show historical fiction women rejecting traditionally female skills/duties and doing swords instead, because swords is obviously the Most Important Thing, you are kind of implying that all the work that has been traditionally done by female hands for millennia was useless all along and not, you know, keeping civilization going. Because it's usually rejected not as a personal preference but as This Is The Important Stuff (male work) and That is The Dumb Useless Stuff (women's work) and that kind of bothers me. The message was supposed to be Vital But Underpaid and Underappreciated, not women's work is insignificant so let's all go do swords.
