Hi All, I know I haven’t been posting or updating lately, but life gets really hard some times... so as a stress reliever I’ve gotten back into making jewellery... CFF Explorer & TS2

Did you see Lesyasun’s post about fixing crashes which linked to this GOS thread? Well, according to both Lesya and TheJessaChannel, this fixes crashes with the nice side-effect of making the game run better.

If you tried this and got the “ C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Mansion and Garden Stuff\TSBin\Sims2EP9.exe is not a valid Win32 application” error, there is a way to fix it!

and untick “32 bit word machine”.

Boom! You’re done. Save and test it. I can’t say if this will work for everyone, of course, but if you’re doing this, you should have a backup anyways.

I’ve seen some improvements, but I haven’t played for more than 5 minutes or on any big lots, but I do know that it works– I was monitoring the process on the task manager and saw Sims2EP9.exe go up to 3GB while loading, when previously it would only peak at about 1GB.
