Pour mes camarades francophones qui s'intéressent aux enjeux liés à l'urbanisme, à la biodiversité ou simplement aux champignons, j'arrive avec une recommandation d'un ouvrage que je viens à peine de commencer : l'Atlas français des champignons du sol.

Il rassemble des cartes nationales sur divers sujets, de la distribution des communautés de champignons des sols aux taxons de champignons identifiés dans les sols en passant par les grands habitats des champignons des sols.

Le sujet peut effrayer, mais les auteurs précisent que "l'ouvrage est destiné aux chercheurs, étudiants, agriculteurs, tout usager des sols, décideurs, industriels, parties prenantes, politiques, bureaux d'études et lecteurs du grand public". Cette volonté de s'adresser à toutes les catégories de lecteurs se retrouve dans le sommaire : le premier chapitre, pour citer à nouveau l'Atlas, "rappelle et vulgarise les grandes généralités scientifiques et techniques nécessaires à la bonne compréhension des parties suivantes de l'ouvrage". La lecture en est en effet aisée - et c'est dit par quelqu'un dont le cerveau s'éteint immédiatement lorsqu'il commence à lire un truc un peu scientifique par peur de ne pas réussir à comprendre.

Il coûte 35€, ce qui peut être une somme - peut-être qu'une bibliothèque locale accepterait une suggestion d'ouvrage -, et vient compléter un autre atlas sorti lui en 2018 si ma mémoire est bonne, l'Atlas français des bactéries du sol.

Home business not displaying correct prices?

I also noticed that in home businesses, the set prices via the yellow for sale tool don't seem to reflect a realistic price. E.g. in my fisher's home business, the fish crate would be 300 S when bought from the catalogue - however, when I mark it with the business sale tool, and click on expensive, the price it shows is 88 S - that's way too cheap! The most expensive price I seem to be able to set is 140 S, which would still be cheaper than the price in the catalogue. Did anyone have this problem before? Is it from some mods or just a general Sims 2 problem? How do I fix it?

So Out for Blood was a lot of fun. I don't think it'll convert me to actually playing HtR proper, but it was fun see a story for a perspective of someone who has to become a Hunter.

And ofc the FBI came in and ruined my carefully laid out plan to become a blood doll and run my store in peace. >.>

You know when someone asks you to replace the bomberjacket textures and you convert it for both genders of three other ages? …no? Well!

Update 22/01/06: I edited all of these files to be compatible with high waisted bottoms, previously they would only look good with bottoms going to the waist seam or lower. Now high waisted bottoms will tuck under the jacket, and low waisted bottoms will have the undershirt showing (if you get my default, that is). I renamed the recolour files to have shorter names so you will need to manually delete the old ones.

aftopbomberjacket and amtopbomberjacket with some new textures, I just swapped out the old undershirt for fanseelamb’s Button-Neck Tops. And added a preg morph to the af mesh.

I also converted the top for CU, EF, EM, TF and TM. Referenced to the original colours, pinned to OFB. Meshes have fat morphs.

Everything is set as everyday and outerwear, and disabled from spawning on townies (personal preference). I added property sets to the default file for that as well.

Sunday Morning

Silly Sims 3 Rant

I still play TS1 and TS2 but have been on this TS3 kick for a while.

I've been working/playing a custom world I made for the past year and am really proud at how well this one is working out. And man, does it make me miss Sims 2 Open For Business.

I stubbornly try to open shops in Sims 3 (restaurant, bakery, coffee shop, random stores) with the help of mods, and yet it's always like pulling teeth to have it work properly! In an alternate universe, I'd like to think Sims 3 would've expanded on the already amazing OFB model and provided some more challenges and such.

Sigh...anyway, end of rant!
