Hey guys! I’m so sorry for being inactive here. I go back to college soon and I’ve been doing nothing but packing and trying to enjoy the last of my time with my family. On that note, I’m gonna be taking a little bit of a break from posting so regularly. I’ll be back after I’ve moved in and gotten into the swing of things, but getting 2 degrees is taking a lot out of me. It’s likely I’ll be a little more absent than I have been this summer overall. This week’s #Homwork! This week the prompt was to pick a word we like that doesn’t get used enough, requiring me to dig through my mostly defunct Pinterest account. I did find this gem, however! It’s on a list of wonderful words that have no direct English translation. I quite like it. I did this piece with mock watercolors and Jane Davenport markers. A slightly shaky pointed pen alphabet for today’s #gyngerabcs! Inspired by what I saw on @kathryns_creationco ’s story I decided to break out the old speedball holder and nib I got in middle school. The materials have seen better days and my skills are a little rusty but I think I need to work more on this skill! It creates such a different look than brush lettering does. Almost like embossing but with more depth. I’m excited to continue playing and get some more materials. Squeaking in today’s #Summerletteringjams pretty late! A song from high school. Well, I did 2 mostly because I had to pay homage to my theatre roots.
