Hello! I was wondering if you’ve seen the series of taskmaster with Joe Thomas in it? He’s mentioned on a podcast that he might be autistic based on what autistic friends have told him and it does rlly show in the taskmaster eps so if you like Britcom and autism he’s a lot of fun
(sorry if this ask sounds insane I mean this in an im autistic and enjoy seeing people who act similarly autisticly , so I also rlly fern Brady and John robins on there)
Yep, I've watched all of Taskmaster including series 8, and though I did like Joe on the show, I have to admit it didn't occur to me that he might have autistic traits. Which is funny because it only took me a couple episodes of series 17 to decide that John Robins' Queen obsession looked an awful lot like a special interest. I guess autism manifests itself in many different ways, and we are more likely to identify it in other people if their 'style' of autism matches ours. Now I definitely need to rewatch series 8!!

“I can’t remember a time where I couldn’t speak both Welsh and English. I think my parents spoke Welsh to me first. Welsh was the language of the home but my mum was an English teacher so I was read to a lot in English. I do remember as a little kid, like any bilingual kid, mixing words up and using Welsh words when I was speaking to English people. I speak English on the radio and very rarely a Welsh word will pop into my head first, but never for more than a couple of seconds. I am equally comfortable with both languages. So, if my life had panned out differently, I could have had a career on the Welsh language radio station as happily as I have in English.”
—Welsh broadcaster and comedian Elis James on growing up bilingual.
It's part of an interview he did with the Cambridge (dictionary folks) blog about language, learning English, bilingualism and how it played out in his professional life.

at face-value the wall does give off "dead inside" energy but the thing is that roger is actually the least dead inside person who has ever existed. like yah the barrier is there but really its less of a concrete brick situation and more of a thin and very-not-soundproof plasterboard situation. interacting with him is like if you were the person staying in the hotel room right next to the one that one of my turns was happening in

Hey hey I found a new Nick photo and info about him and Lindy!!! (At least new for me) on an article (below):

“Whilst rummaging through the archives the other day, I came across a couple of amusing little articles, which piqued my interest. The first one is an article from The Farnham Herald, date unknown but by deduction the year is 1967”
“Pink Floyd Man in Flying Visit.
On a flying visit to his native land last week, was Nicky Mason of the Pink Floyd Pop Group (sic), who has been staying with the Rutter family at Millhanger, Thursley. Lindy Rutter has won praise for her choreography of the Farnham Youth Theatre production “Double Take” and for her solo dance which opens the show. She is to teach at Frensham Heights and will also be taking movement classes at RADA.
Nicky has just made an LP with the Pink Floyd, “The Saucerful of Secrets” which is number nine on the LP charts. The group has also recently ended a tour of the USA where they are becoming very popular. The trip took them from New York, through Philadelphia, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle etc, etc and but for the election rumpus in Chicago, they would have made a return trip there.
Nicky spoke to Youth in Action on Friday, the day before he flew to Belgium to take part in a music festival. A busy life and rather different from what he imagined it would be like when a student of architecture at Regent Street Polytechnic, where the Pink Floyd originated three years ago. The group has been professional for about 18 months”
“A quick Google search has since revealed that “Nicky” as he is called here, but now known as Nick Mason, and Lindy were married the following year, 1968, and had two children, before divorcing 20 years later. She is an accomplished flutist. He is the only remaining original member of the famous band. Note how the journalist refers to them as The Pink Floyd! Of course, they are known today as simply Pink Floyd. Another strange twist is that Millhanger was, of course, latterly purchased by Roger Taylor of Queen, who lived there until around 10 years ago”.

As always, the Irish speak nothing but facts.
How many more innocent civilians have to be killed by Israel before you condemn that for it?
That is a genocide.
That this is a crime on all accounts.
And deserves to be punished to the full extent off the law.

To anon : if you wanna give Elis & John a try but don't know where to start, this reddit post will help
so I'm v intrigued about elis/john but honestly I don't know anything about their dynamic. what's the vibe there? 👀👀
omigosh i’m so glad you asked!
basically, their friendship is a demonstration of nontoxic masculinity.
they’re constantly complimenting each other and telling each other ‘i love you’. elis is very affable and well-adjusted and he makes john more grounded and softer when he’s around. he lifts john out of his glooms. when they were on the cuddle club podcast, lou sanders introduced them by saying john needs elis in order to be happy.
also on that podcast, they revealed they don’t hug, but according to john that’s bc he only hugs his ‘brotherly’ friends and they don’t have a ‘brotherly’ relationship (even though elis is one of his top two best friends). make of that what you will, lol.
elis said that john explains elis’ own personality to him about twice a week and he’s so glad to have that insight. he finds john hilarious and very weird.
they play games against each other on their podcast. of course, john cares about winning more, and elis doesn’t let him win, but he’s always happy for him when he does. he also gives gentle reprimands when john is getting annoyed.
elis’ first language is welsh. he’s said he has a more assertive personality in welsh, which makes it interesting that john likes elis speaking welsh a lot.
so yeah, i hope that gets you even more intrigued! gonna go ahead and tag this with the main tags so others can maybe point you to some good compilations or fan edits.
