Just realized that if Hannibal Lecter was autistic his hyperfixation would probably be Clarice Starling

I actually used to ship them! Just some artwork….kinda ruined it for me, if ykyk, but I just like the older version, the NBC version seems out of character a bit for me is all. I’d definitely love to hear your thoughts on it tho! Maybe the show isn’t that bad at all.
Is it just be or it seems like the character of Hannibal Lecter is Aroace? Or at least, Asexual? Obviously, in the movies he’s very vocal about sex but more in a condescending way to make others uncomfortable or intimidate them. I don’t like Hannibal X Will (I haven’t seen NBC Hannibal so maybe I’m wrong.) because it’s hard to see the cold man loving anyone other than in a platonic way, he doesn’t have any romantic chemistry with anyone, it just seems forced and unlikely. More importantly, uninteresting. Makes the cannibal seem softened, which isn’t a bad thing, but it might just be me wanting to share something with my favorite guy and my uninterested feelings towards romance being VERY specialized.

I can see Hannibal Lecter tucking his suits in goodnight before heading out to go trap, torment, then murder a man with a ridiculous, doctor evil ass method.

I like the pan and I can see that, he clearly is against judging people. I may be actually stupid cause I couldn’t figure out how to reply to this, anyway, it might just be me, the narcissist in me is telling me no though, but you may be right! That’ll be a interesting discussion with you, I might just have to refresh myself with the books again and the rewatch the movies, but in my opinion, as the silence of the lambs version/movie version specifically, it just seems he’s more cold blooded like it’d be cool to see a villain just absolutely ridden of most aspects of humanity! But I get that would make a character a bit one note so you may be right again. I liked hearing a bit of your perspective on this. But also including a queer aspect to an intimidating and famous character is a very sweet idea! I just can’t see him ever getting down and dirty in the sheets.

“In preparation for his role, Sir Anthony Hopkins studied files of serial killers. Also, he visited prisons, and studied convicted murderers, and was present during some court hearings concerning gruesome murderers and serial killings.” - speaking of serial killers in the inspiration of Hannibal Lecter! Apparently the unsettling way Lecter didn’t blink when talking in TSOTL, he got that off Charles Manson interviews.

“After Lecter was moved from Baltimore, the plan was to dress him in a yellow or orange jumpsuit. Sir Anthony Hopkins convinced director Jonathan Demme and costume designer Colleen Atwood that the character would seem more clinical and unsettling if he was dressed in pure white. Hopkins has since said he got the idea from his fear of dentists.” - from The Silence Of The Lambs trivia section in IMDb.
