Bauer Bodoni is a variation of the Bodoni typeface, this font was released by Heinrich Jost in the year 1926 for the Bauer Type foundry in Frankfurt, Germany. Heinrich Jost was the artistic director of the foundry from 1923 to 1948, period in which he designed this font which was punch cut by Louis Hoell. The form of this typeface is closely related to the Bodoni, but considered more delicate and graceful than other bodoni variants. This font looks specially fine at large point sizes, and can make a stately presence in any sumptuous magazine, lavish book, or dignified website.
