I’m Casey, And I’m Probably Crying
5 posts
Yes, I cry a lot, I’m a very emotional bean and here is where I will share things I make. This is my art and writing account. I’m still a newbie but get ready to see a lot of fandom art and The Amazing Devil inspired work!

I proudly present... The finale of nearly 2 months of work, somewhere between 22 and 24 hours, and way too many late nights.

Joey and Madeleine Performing in The Woods!
Just as they are proper Fae Royalty in this relam, they deserved to be immortalized in dramaticism and beauty with all the respect and adoration I have to give.
To @joeybateyofficial and Madeleine Hyland-
Thank you so much for all the work you have put into your albums, they have truely been an astonishingly important part of my life for these past many months. Thank you and keep up the spectacular work!

As I promised I would, here’s the speed paint from yesterday’s piece of the beautiful Madeleine Hyland! This canvas has nearly 9 hours on it, but also taking in the work other canvases had on procreate, she totals somewhere between 11 and 13 hours!

I got a few more progress shots this time, like stitching together a reference for the pose I had in my head, the line art, and the 6 dresses I had first designed for Madeleine’s peice. It was difficult to make sure the dresses fit her vibe, looked good with Joey’s dress, and would sit on her pose nicely, but I’m happy with the end product!

Then it just came down to coloring, and what saved me a ton of time was copying a lot of parts from Joey’s piece (The Background and the layers of moonlight) and just adjust them to fit Madeleine.

Lastly here’s a close up on Madeleine, but of course the best way to enjoy her is in her full glory on my last post if you hadn’t seen it yet! Tomorrow I will be posting the very last part of this mini-series where I put the two of them together on the same canvas, so keep your eyes peeled for that coming up!

All it took was nearly 2 months, but Madeleine has been completed! I knew the exact pose I wanted her to be in, and designing a dress that looked pretty around that dress was a feat! I wanted to give her a dress as extrodinarily beauitful as she was, but I didn’t want it to look too much like Joey’s and working around the pose she had to still show off the dress meant that I designed tons of dresses before I was able to figure out one for her.
It was a long journey to get here, but here she is. I’ll be posting the progress photos, speedpaint, and 6 of the rejected dress designs tomorrow, so look forward to that!

As promised, the speed paint from yesterday’s post! The piece itself took about 9 hours, but here it is condensed into 30 seconds.

Unfortunately I didn’t save many progress shots along the way, but below I left a few detail pics that I really liked!

Ever since I saw all the photos @joeybateyofficial posted on his Instagram I’ve needed to see this beautiful man in more dresses! So here’s the first installation of what will likely be a very long series of our Fae King and Queen Joey and Madeleine in decadent clothing worthy of them!
I’ll post the speed art and progress photos tomorrow
