kris seeing through their hand in the shadow crystal. all the "severed hand"/"guy who wakes up without a hand" references in the new chapters. berdly having his entire arm paralyzed in the hospital if you didn't spare him in chapter 2. toby fox talking about his chronic wrist pain often preventing him from coding and playing. learning to navigate his disability and how working in a team makes developing games possible for him, even if they don't perfectly represent his vision. the piano as THEE representation of kris' freedom and individuality outside of their role as The Cage. the option to tell susie that Kris will keep playing if she learns to play piano too...

hello!! I was thinking (surprising, I know) and so. Do we know if fresh’s host being taller then normal sans is because of the parasite? Because that’s actually terrifying. (But also. Kinda cool?? But still horrifying.)

Honestly? I think it depends on what version of him you're talking about.

Like, his original "Sans" design seems to have him at around the same height as a regular Sans (which makes sense since, y'know, he's possessing one lol) judging by some comics by Crayon Queen (x, x).

Though, Fresh's Lucidia redesign does officially have him at a much larger height (I can't find the post where this is said; source: trust me bro). Uhm, I don't think it's ever been stated if Fresh can change his host's height, though I do think he's still a parasite in Lucidia (again, source: trust me bro). (Though, bare in mind that I am not as knowledgeable about Lucidia stuff... so I could be wrong.)

So, in short, it's never been officially stated or suggested that Fresh can affect his host's height (from what I've seen), and as far as I can tell it seems like the only thing Fresh can change about his host is like, cosmetic stuff (e.g. clothes). So if Fresh is on the taller side, then officially speaking, it's probably because his host was already on the taller side.

Though, I will say that the concept of a bodysnatching parasite being able to forcibly change a previously permanent aspect of you in a (most definitely) painful way is quite the horror concept lol. Honestly, you could probably get some pretty good horror out of that, not just on the host's end (having a part of you irrevocably changed against your will), but also for everyone who knows Fresh is a parasite. Like, just the thought that Fresh could do that to you if he so chose would be terrifying.

Actually, I know that @/ contamination-zone (or @/ sunnydayAOE... can't remember if it was his main or side blog) has done something with this concept. I remember seeing a post of its that was like, a progression of Fresh's host being slowly changed by him. Can't find it though :') ...but it's out there somewhere if you can find it!

(Also, quick side tangent here, but when I found out that the Fresh redesign isn't even technically canon to his UTMV incarnation I felt like so confuzzled lol. Like, everyone uses it for fanart and stuff for UTMV and it's from a completely separate story! Like, I understand why, because it being his Legally Distinct(TM) design helps him stand out in the sea of Sans, but still!! It's like finding out a widely accepted headcanon is like, completely made up lol.)
