Enoch headcanons :D

I saw a post by @marygih about how Enoch was mistreated in his old loop, that’s why he’s so grumpy. And it’s genius so I decided to make a few headcanons.

When he was small, he was scared of the dark but no one in his old loop cared.

He made the homunculi originally to be his ‘friends,’ then after e moved to miss peregrine’s loop and actually had real friends, he started experimenting with them.

He would die for any of his loop mates but doesn’t show it. He also gets angry if anyone offends them. (The second one is canon)

He thought Abe betrayed them by leaving and never returning. Abe put them in danger from the hollows after he left, because no one else could see them.

He hates how he looks. Especially the eye bags.

plot hole?

the way loops work is that they repeat the same day over and over again, right? So anyone and anything that is not peculiar will experience the same thing, kind of like someone hitting a reset button every night.

so, in theory, if you, say, smash a plate, the next day it will no longer be broken, right? Well this raises a few questions.

first is the leaf sculpture of Adam and later on, Miss Avocet. But for this I’ll just assume Fiona made them before the day became a loop.

second is the fact that Enoch will have infinite clay, and his homunculi will last for one day before he has to make new ones. And also he will have infinite hearts.

Also, Enoch’s Homunculi. In theory first book, it says he spent days in the basement doing experiments. The basement slowly started to resemble a civil war hospital. But won’t the ‘dead’ homunculi disappear after the loop resets??? And Enoch gave Victor his best homunculi when they bury him. How does that work? I assume he didn’t make his best homunculi the same day, because he almost died from dr golan’s hollow. It doesn’t make sense.

Making an OC Tip: Middle Names

yes it’s another one of these posts I was bored okay?

Middle names generally have meaning, and give more depth to a character. When choosing a middle name, make the name match their personality. Or maybe make it opposite their personality, then it’ll be more interesting. My point is, don’t make it random.

e.g

I have a friend whose middle name is Elizabeth, which generally means ruler and is associated with royalty. Her first name also means power or rule.

and yeah she’s kinda bossy :P

but she’s still really nice

Making an OC: personality, traits and quirks

yeah this is very offical…

Personality usually refers to something the OC can change; it’s also their reaction to their surroundings.

Traits are usually something they are aware of, but have little or no control over them; sometimes people say traits are part of personality, but I think they should be seperate, idk.

Quirks are things they are aware of but can’t change, or completely not aware of; it’s like little gestures of habits.

e.g

(One of my OC’s)

Name: Juniper Skie

Personality: timid and awkward, but kind and loyal

Traits: Clumsy, and easily embarrassed

Quirks: When embarrassed, her cheeks turn pink

maybe I’ll do more of this type of post, depending on if u guys like things like this or not

(movie) olive

can we take a moment to think about how weak movie olive is??

like, im not even going to talk about how tim burton ruined book olive by aging her up and changing her personality and peculiarity and all that, because my hand will get tired from typing.

ok, anyways

point 1

her peculiarity can be stopped by gloves. if her peculiarity is fire, cant she just burn through the gloves?? just gloves alone can stop her fire. when book emma was small, she used to set the bed on fire when she was sleeping, and movie olive literally uses gloves to stop her peculiarity. like, what????

point 2

basically, the only thing she does successfully is heating a kettle. like, she didnt even succeed in unfreezing bronwyn. the wight froze the water in about 2 seconds and it took olive ages to melt off the first layer of ice, then she got frozen.

point 3

she was frozen. when her peculiarity was fire. point made.

compared to book emma, movie olive is really weak.

also, her character was underdeveloped, especially her personality.

also, olive x enoch should not exist.

im sorry if i offended any (movie) olive fans tho.
