Been getting big into birding lately. If you're an outsider not into birding already you might think "ehh ok" but I promise u getting into birding will improve your life. All that background noise that you normally tune out will turn into the songs of friends that u will learn to recognize. They are cheering for u. It is tremendously comforting

You can start from nothing. You don't need to know anything about birds. "Merlin Bird ID" is a great app that you can use to record audio that will listen for birds and tell you what they are IN REAL TIME. Just let it run while you are doing your normal every day things like walking the dog or taking a stroll through the park or just sitting at your desk with your windows open. There are birds out there. It may be overwhelming at first but soon you will learn how to recognize them by their songs and calls and honestly I think you should really get into. I'm trying to convince all my friends to get into it and if you want to join our little bird group where we share our daily birds please let me know bc it is very rewarding and good for my mental health and I know you would enjoy it too
