oh and while i'm writing chapter 2, here's a few things from my planning drafts that make me giggle. no context for you

most of my drafts are serious and almost properly written but then there's a few paragraphs like THIS because without them i'd go insane i think

WHO is going to TORTURE these MUTANT TURTLES for my ENJOYMENT

Rottmnt fic idea: idk if this has been done already but HEAR ME OUT.

Have you ever wondered...how do we really know that Casey Junior was telling the truth about coming from the future to warn the turtles?

And you might be thinking: well, obviously because we saw him with future Leo and Mikey at the beginning of the movie, right? But we're the audience, so we're shown that part. But the present day turtles? They have no idea who CJ is. They've never seen this kid before in their lives and yet he insists that he knows them- or at least, future versions of them- and that he's here to stop them from making a terrible mistake.

Now, we get a bit of mistrust in the "interrogation" sequence, with many questions from the turtles regarding why Casey is here and why he has the picture, but CJ isn't really able to provide physical evidence. The Donnie trademarked gear could be stolen, and... suspiciously convenient, the one picture he has is one without CJ himself in it.

All of this is to say that, when you rewatch the scene, you'll notice what actually convinces the turtles to believe CJ is his knowledge of the Krang. When he mentions that word, Splinter gives a frightening recount of the Krang lore, and then everybody sort of agrees that preventing the Krang from invading is important so they decide to trust Casey.

But that's...interesting, isn't it? That CJ's foolproof connection to their reality is the Krang?

Here's my idea: what if Casey didn't actually know the turtles at all? What if he was sent by the Krang?

Think about it: an agent of the Krang sent backwards in time to ensure the invasion takes place at a time when the turtles are most vulnerable. A point in time where they could strike early and take out their biggest opposition (the turtles) while they're young, overconfident, and unaware. Casey was supposedly sent to "warn" them, but what if his true mission was to sabotage them all along?

TLDR: I'm just saying a fic/au where Casey is a villain agent sent by the Krang to sabotage the turtles would be really cool

Oo and think of the design possibilities- his mask could look more like a Krang mask, or have like Krang tentacles on the inside, or be like a form of communication with them!? He'd be such a twist villain too, can you imagine!?

If this has already been done, give me the fic rec so I can read it!!! I'm so intrigued by this concept

I’m a sucker for a that trope and the ways you write it is so good. I really enjoy the alternating pov, getting to see both of the boys thought process and feeling is delicious. That nervous energy for the date was too cute and I love nurse Leo. Im looking for more fics that feature him in that role and I’m so happy I found yours!

I love the medic Leo hc so so much, I'm glad there are others out there to enjoy it because I think it's such a fun and complex side to his character. I usual sneak medic Leo into my writing subtly, but O:U gave me an opportunity to write it as a main feature of his arc. I stand by the statement that Operation Undercover is written to be 50% nurse Leo and 50% Leosagi, because I just love those two concepts so much and they occupy my brain space at all times :D
