Each pet is an individual, you can never replace them. I waited between cats because I needed to mourn properly, otherwise I would have been upset at my new friend for not being Bruno the Cat. You’ve got to be ready for a new experience when you allow a new pet in your life. Gomez is almost the opposite of my previous cat, but I love him so much because I was ready for him.

I lost a pet at the vet and the bill was 1,600$ during Covid and we never recovered from it. I hope you can bounce back and be happy again, a new pet isn't a REPLACEMENT pet, just for those people thinking it, after all my pets die, I adopt a new one because with room in my life, I can save another one, even if the last one had a medical condition. Also I suggest immortalizing him in art like a lot of people and myself do. There's an artist who does art of themselves with their deceased birb.

I do have art of him I drew a long time ago, I don't know if I'll have the time or energy to draw him again but I have a plush of him now that will be holding his ashes. I have to hide it at the moment so it doesn't trip me out.

We want a new kitten soon so the other cat doesn't linger in Zidane's absence too long and because it feels empty with only one cat here.

An insect’s eyes have always just formed one image, just like your two eyeballs, but they DO form it from basically “pixels.” What’s weird though is that it’s not one pixel per facet; each of the thousands of tiny eyes of a fly is about seven “pixels” somehow. Overall that’s pretty hi-def.

Normal hand washing and gloves protect you just as well from contaminants. Sanitiser isn’t a magical barrier. Soap is just as good, if not better... but yeah they really need a limit per person.

people freaking out and buying hand sanitizer in bulk is actually a worse health risk because of all the people they’re denying getting the stuff, so more people are going to be at risk of exposure

it’s not going to happen but stores should really put a limit on how many a single person can buy :/
