I barely even use tumblr anymore and YET somehow still I feel like blogs I never actively followed got followed. Unless some one I followed along time ago suddenly got a complete new interest and like completely changed personalities. As is not uncommon I guess.

I wanted to try drawing this creature, especially since I was wondering what the scale was relative to the natives.. so I wanted to try drawing a native forming bonds with the shurl.

The shurl is yet another creature that calls the dark planet of Talaxia home. It is rather canine in appearance however, unlike dogs they do not roam in packs. The shurl is also equipped with pharyngeal tentacles and a glowing bulb at the end of its tail. Some wonder what the shurl’s pharyngeal tentacles are even for. Some people speculate that the shurl uses them merely to intimidate threats. However, others claim that they are used to tear larger chunks of flesh off of their prey. The shurl is known for its speed and cunning as it cannot rely on brute strength like the Gorbog can. The shurl is also known for forming rare bonds with the native people.
