Aaaaand my last book for a while! Very proud of this one.
A paperback copy of Captured by @redwingedwhump
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I fought with this one every step of the way. Through formatting, and then my printer was in the process of dying. It would print about seven pages before eating my paper and forcing me to start again. But eventually I got it all done! After that covering it was a breeze.
I'm not used to paperbacks, but it turned out great! Again, loving the die cut title. It's a thicc boi and fun to hold.
RIP my printer, died doing what I loved.

And finally, finally, finished my hardcopy (dubbed the "special edition") of all of the Synoverse stories to date.

Part of what took this so long was my perfectionism needing my tribute to this story to be perfect.
This copy boasts actual bookboard for the cover (my first book with actual bookboard), leather cover with the pain in the ass cool spine, sewn endbands, and attached bookmark of the same leather making the cover. Oh, and the cut and painted edges. I styled it after one of my favorite hero/villain books Vicious by V.E. Schawb with chapter headers.
Anyway now I have a pocket version and a special edition. Love this story so much, never enough copies. (Maybe my next try the endpapers won't wrinkle so ;n; maybe I'll have actual glue instead of superglue)

Why yes, the end papers for the hardback is the same paper as the cover on the paperback.

Finally getting around to posting pictures of this cutie. Quarto paperback of Villains Never Retire by @wingedcat13
I adore this story and wanted to give it shadowy vibe fit for Synovus.

Cover update! I recently got a die cutter and I'm having a lot of fun with it. I feel so powerful, and I was finally able to realize a cool cover for this book.

Another binderary bind, and one I'm super pleased with. @haro-whumps 's Box Boy. This bind used several different techniques I'm perfecting, sewn endbands, trimmed textblock, and new paper and casing materials.

It's hard to tell from the pictures, but the endpapers sparkle. I couldn't resist ^^ I wanted the book to feel nice, like something Ren might dress Soren in. It turned out looking a little more royal than I intended (I blame the red) but I still love the way it turned out.
One day I'll get my hands on paper big enough to do a dust cover and proper titleing.

Come. Join me in my madness.
*caveat: this works best in small sizes—anything big will probably need a more complex stitching setup, end papers, and sturdier book covers. My tiny books have been measuring about 1.5x2.2 cm, and .4 cm thick

My final bind of binderary, catch your breath; there are no breaks by Pslient

Boasting my best endband work yet (practice improves skills) and a lovely overall look. The second I saw the crepe paper I knew I needed that for the cover, and of course who can resist sparkly endpapers?
Very pleased with how this one turned out. It feels so good to hold.
Additionally, this one features fanart made for the series by Stuffdone!

I picked a few select images for the title page, contents page, and link page, and am pleased with how they turned out.

Second bind of the month, This is How We Learn to Love by cloakofleviation. And my skills are improving! This one featuring sewn endbands and a trimmed textblock!

The colors for the cover, spine, and endpages were chosen to represent three of my favorite the characters.
This one also featuring the spine under the cover because the fabric kept fraying because I'm cool like that.
Thanks to @disasteronmain for writing this amazing fic.

This is my first year participating in the Renegade Bindery's Binderary event. The first of my completed projects for the month was Heartbreak Ridge, a M*A*S*H fic by @the-wandering-whumper

I knew I wanted to do the bloody handprint cover for this one and was very pleased with how it turned out.
This was my second attempt at a quarto size, and, despite an argument with the margins, it worked out great, perfect size for this 26k word fic.

I participated the Renegade Bindery's "Tiny Book bind-along" workshop and crafted two little cuties.
First time creating books this tiny, I learned a lot! I can't wait to make more of these fellas.
