Wild how squad 11 is shown as the aggressive hyper masculine and abusive quad when its lead by Yumichika, his boyfriend, kenpachi who could not give less of a shit about anything other than fighting if he tried (and he tries) and his daughter who also runs the soul society women's association (and does so as part of his soul). I guess it speaks to how much freedom and lack of discipline they receive that they bully hana for presumably being unmasculine meanwhile their bosses not only are like that but also seem to genuinely like hana

Second I guess the typical Squad members have a fucked up mentality where they see someone like Yumichika as "one of the good ones" since "at least he likes to fight" while Hana's not only gnc and incredibly averse to violence he's the most stereotypical Squad 4 member you can think of so he's not just "one of the bad ones", he's "the worst one".

As for Kenpachi and The Gays™ liking him ig it's because he's Ichigo's friend though there was a brave souls sidestory where Ikkaku tries to "correct" him because of the Kon fiasco?? ew

Ikkaku does learn his lesson at the end so maybe the whole thing was him projecting onto Hana since he does actually hide his real self from his squad.

Yumichika calls him Hanataro-kun and doesn't seem to mind his presence that much so I'd say he's the one that gets along best with him for obvious reasons.

Side note but maybe Kenpachi's way of keeping his squad members in check and trying to making them less hateful is subconsciously through Yachiru? She's always pranking them and stuff so maybe that's his way of telling them to do better.
