Sarvis Florentine had always been taught to be loyal. He served his duty as a general to his emperor and always followed his orders. However, there was one other person he had vowed to serve other than his emperor.

That peculiar, yet beautiful Eme-an from the future.

He remembered the day he gave that piece of parchment to those Eme-ans. That was the day he kneeled in servitude towards the Seer. With such soft, beautiful hands, he held one of them and pressed his forehead against the delicate fingers.

Sarvis remembered that day so vividly. He was married but it was just a political marriage, done because of the position he holds. He still respects his wife, but they held no romantic love for one another.

He wonders if the radiant feeling that he experienced that day was love. Love for those delicate hands, love for the selflessness and nobility the Seer showed. Love for those soft, kind eyes he gazed upon when he finally looked up at the Seer's face.

Ah. Sarvis thought once more. It truly was love. He felt the radiant feeling again. A warm, comforting presence in his heart.

When Sarvis held his Seer's hand — when exactly he thought of the Seer as his, remains a mystery even to him. Perhaps from the start of everything. — he desperately wanted to kiss those fingers. But he held back, knowing it would be a step too far. Though, Sarvis thought, he doesn't think the Seer would've minded.

What kind of expression would the Seer make if he did kiss their hand? Would a blush grace their delicate face? Would they stutter and lose their composure, becoming awkward and shy like a young lover?

How would those soft lips feel against his?

That single thought made his whole body shudder with an unknown emotion. How deep and devoted this love is, he thought. Sarvis had vowed to help the Seer whenever they would need help. And he shall make that vow reality. Even if his bloodline will have to wait thousands of years to finally serve that Eme-an, the Seer, Sarvis would teach his descendants patience.

My seer. He reverently thought. If reincarnations exist like those of the East believed, I shall meet you once again in another form.

And then, and only then, will I finally take you as mine if you shall have me.

The devoted thoughts of Sarvis Florentine were recorded in his personal diary and preserved throughout history. And one day, two thousand years later, as his personal diary was opened once more by the hands he vowed to serve... Tears of joy and regret fell upon those old pages.
