I decided to do mermay this year but I didn't really find any inspiration with the list given by the official people so I made my own list. Today's first mermaid is the mangosteen mermaid, which i wanted to have a little fun with and make it a mix of those cute little orange squids they found awhile back:

A few months ago I saw one of the leaked screenshots from the set of the new Margot Robbie Barbie movie and I saw this one that everyone was talking about where it had this woman wearing a hijab in the background giving Ken and Barbie a look so naturally I just thought she was jealous of their rad outfits and decided to draw her with one of her own.

There was some lack of info regarding how certain metallic pencils worked but apparently they are water soluble which means I could have been using them as watercolors and done a lot more than I did in 2020.

At the start of the Pandemi during the quarantine months I started doing a series of traditional artworks that were inspired by DrawingWiffWaffles every color art supplies challenge.

I however took it a step further and did the following:

After completing them the first time I ended up beginning to draw them again at the end of 2022 to current. I haven't finished the whole series for the second time yet so I will be sharing all the pieces i've finished so far.

There is a bit of an emergency situation going on in my life which is being caused by my fathers medical bills from a stroke he had near the beginning of this year. the rise in living costs is making it to where other bills cannot be paid for and we took a major hit last month making it to where we are in desperate need of funds.
