the way Roman started off as a proper prince; regal accent, poetic catchphrases and all. and then that accent started disappearing as he started speaking more and more like just a normal guy, disguising his pain with cringy jokes, trying desperately to get everyone's attention, no longer self-assured and prideful, because he's no longer Thomas's hero.

janus' major character flaw isn't being selfish or amoral or whatever, it's being overprotective of thomas. probably because he's the last line of defense between potentially harmful information and thomas' conscious mind. that's what he's overprotective of: thomas' peace of mind. he keeps away everything disturbing, everything scary or uncomfortable, and assures thomas that everything is fine, even when it isn't. when thomas is mentally at his lowest, it's completely up to janus to stand up for him and look after him, while the others are busy freaking out.

anyways i think no matter which side you ship janus with, he definitely calls them all "thomas" during sex at some point

love House MD because House is the MAIN CHARACTER at that hospital and there's no attempt to hide this. as the viewer you are fully aware that those nurses in the elevator are just extras. the boss's entire schedule consists of yelling at him. the head of oncology would rather prescribe him controlled meds and flirt than practice oncology. his team's only desires are to fuck him and strangle him, often at the same time. every other doctor at the hospital might as well be a cardboard cutout.

the walls are glass, the better to see him through. he limps around, commits malpractice, and serves cunt.

what if Roman had a mental breakdown and accidentally trapped all of the sides+him in his side of the imagination following some sort of cliche fantasy story where everyone liked him and everything went his way and he was everyone's hero. And after a while everyone snaps out of it an realizes what happened, but the imagination physically won't let them leave without Roman's permission. But he can't/won't leave the denial enough to break out of the mind control out of the fear that after this nobody will ever like him or want to associate with him ever again.
