How to Snag Potter

By Draco Malfoy

1. Midnight Rendezvous: Invite him to a duel and then bond over shared rule-breaking. Didn’t work because Weasley insisted on coming along. Reported them to Filch instead.��

2. Midnight Rendezvous, second attempt: Inspire gratitude by helping him deal with illegal dragon. Possible small talk about my name? Caught by McGonagall

3. Show off amazing Quidditch skills and really cool new broom. Nope. Granger said I bought my way onto the team (NOT TRUE) and I’m pretty sure Potter believed it. 

4. Send carefully composed and endearing Valentine (the only good thing Lockhart has ever done). I don’t think he liked it very much, despite the brilliant lyrics I composed. Ended up shifting blame onto the Girl Weasel. Fairly certain he doesn’t suspect.

5. Become gravely injured in order to appeal to his Savior Complex and inspire feelings of protectiveness. DO NOT ATTEMPT AGAIN. Was nearly murdered when I insulted that giant filthy chicken, and yet Potter decided that IT was the victim?! Unacceptable. I will not rest until that beast is put down.

6. A fun prank! He seems to enjoy stuff like this when the Weasley Twins do it, so I’m sure he will laugh. Learn to sew. It turns out that Potter has no sense of humor as well as very poor vision, because he nearly killed me with that damn Patronus Charm. Although I must admit, it is kind of hot that he can already do a Patronus.

7. Support him with Triwizard Tournament badges! Okay, this one was probably my fault. Pansy saw me experimenting with them and I changed the messages at the last minute. Why can’t he just realize that I don’t mean it?

8. Report Potter’s tragic story to the Prophet to increase sympathy and support. Exaggerate if it will get him more attention. I realize now that Potter does not like attention. Also Skeeter made out like Potter is in some sort of love triangle involving Granger, which is not even remotely acceptable. This was a mistake.

9. Show respect for his friends by composing an encouraging song in Weasley’s honor. Apparently making the title sound complimentary isn’t enough to negate other more insulting lyrics. Honestly this was doomed from the start because there is literally nothing good about the Weasel except his best friend.

10. Impress him with your status and power by leading the Inquisitorial Squad. Umbridge is an absolute menace and I am an idiot.

11. Make him jealous: Flirt excessively with Pansy. I don’t think he even noticed.

12. Show him your sensitive side by crying in the girls’ loo. Fuck.

13. Realize you’ve been a complete arse for your entire life. Regret everything. Do your best to become someone who does the right thing. Don’t identify Potter when asked. Stop cronies from killing him. Apologize sincerely after he gets you off at your trial. Invite him for dinner.

15. Buy him a birthday present. 

16. Kiss him. 

17. Go back to his flat. 

18. Refuse to leave his bed. This only works for so long.

19. Attempt to make him breakfast.

Drarry - Edge of Tomorrow Fusion

LCDrarry has started posting recently, and then I thought of this and have to wait another year to make the prompt (if I remember).

Harry as Rita Vrataski and Draco as Major William Cage

Tom Riddle worked in DoM to study Time and Brain and succeeded in connecting his mind to all the Dementors. He also invented a certain type of time magic to evade Death and ensure he could take over the world. When he branded his Death Eaters, he embedded time magic into their Dark Mark and took a tiny bit of their soul in exchange for his own (sort of like making all his Death Eaters his living Horcruxes). Whenever a Death Eater is killed, Tom restarts a loop and adjusts his tactics until his army (Dementors led by Death Eaters) wins. In 1991, Tom, with his new name "Voldemort", unleashed his Death Eaters and Dementors in Albania and swiftly conquered much of continental Europe. Dumbledore swiftly formed the Order of Phoenix but was then killed in 1996. By 1994, Wixens led by OoP and Muggles all over the world finally collaborated. However, victory remained elusive until the recent Battle of Hogwarts, which was secured by Harry Potter, the Boy Who Lived. In 2003, the OoP masses forces for a major invasion of London. Kingsley orders public affairs officer Draco Malfoy to cover the offensive from the frontline, but the inexperienced and cowardly Draco attempts to blackmail Kingsley into rescinding the order. Kingsley has Draco sent to the military base to join the invasion as infantry. He is assigned to Ron Weasley and the Gryffindor Squad, who dislike and belittle him. The following day, the invasion forces land in the Ministry but are ambushed and massacred by Dementors. Draco uses Bombarda Maxima to kill a Death Eater, becoming covered in their blood and magic and mortally wounding himself in the ensuing explosion. Then he met Harry, who gained the same power after exposure to a Death Eater's blood and magic. His loops enabled him, a 17-year-old boy, to win at Hogwarts, but he took an AK at the Forbidden Forest from Voldemort, who killed his own piece of soul which transferred from the dead Death Eater to Harry, thus removing the power. PS 1. The Malfoys defected because Lucius refused to give up a bit of his soul. PS 2. There's no prophecy, and Harry grew up with his parents but they were both killed when Voldemort took over London in 1995.

Dronarry Fest 2024 Rec List

It's the first time I've ever finished reading all the works in a fest, so I want to celebrate a bit by making a rec list.

Before I met the wonderful @dronarryfest, admittedly I wasn't a fan of threesomes or polyamory. However, after reading some of the works in Dronarry Fest 2023, I got excited to know there was going to be another fest in 2024, and I almost read every one of them immediately after they were posted. I've got to say, these authors are amazing, and they actually make me ship it! My OTP will always be Draco/Harry and Ron/Hermione, but I really enjoyed all of the stories, some of them with amazing plots, some of them with hot sex scenes, and some of them are so hilarious I couldn't help laughing. So, here's the list:

Some Nights by thecouchsofa

This is the first time I read a Dronarry without Established Draco/Harry, a wonderful getting-together story starting with benefits and then ending with love. And the threesome (especially the sandwiching with Draco in the middle) is hot <3

Permanent by citrusses

I'm not a fan of open endings, but this is great: the mystery, the turn of events, the relationship between the characters, and Draco's personality development. It's amazing how the author could include so many things in a 14k story: the plot and all the details that make these characters come to life.

Sandwiching with Harry in the middle! The sex scene is so delicious. And I adore the scene where Draco asked Ron to make up with Harry:

Stuck In The Middle With You by peachydreamxx

They are all so fucked-up to begin with but slowly healing each other. Harry and Ron (especially Ron) were a bit of an arsehole in the beginning, but it turned out so beautiful I almost melt.

Also, they complemented one another so well, that their relationship was perfect with all three of them together, without any one of them, it would be incomplete. I especially love the following two scenes, one of Harry talking to Ron, and the other of Ron talking to Draco:

“He might be desperate for my approval but he sure as hell wants you more. You stuck your cock in his mouth, same as me, and you really fucking liked it. You boss him around, degrade him to filth. He gives you exactly what you want. Something I can’t.” “D’you think I could ever hurt you like that?” Ron says. “Why would I want to? I’d never forgive myself if I lost control with you like I did with Malfoy.”

“I’m not good at being soft either,” Weasley purrs.  He’s kissed Potter and it was divine. Kissing Weasley feels… wrong. The good kind of wrong.  The kind of wrong that’s going to land him the deepest punishment. The kind of wrong his father would keel over and die from. That his friends would gasp at before calling him a traitor. A treacherous traitor who wants to worship this complete wanker and utter his name over and over until he’s strung-out and burning with gorgeous, filthy regret.  Filthy regret that he’ll soothe with Potter’s kiss, with his hands fingers curled around his cock and the subtle whisper of Potter’s silky voice reminding him what a good boy he is. Then he’ll do it all over again. He’ll be a brat and a slut and let them tear him apart like he deserves, before he’s sorry and begging to fall right back into Potter’s touch and into Weasley’s control.  “Good thing we have Potter for that then.”

Have you ever read a story with POV First Person (Ron), POV Second Person (Draco) and POV Third Person (Harry)? There you go. It's a beautiful story focused on hurt and comfort, each of them has their own issue: Ron with his nightmares of failing to save Fred, Draco with his anxiety of feeling abandoned by his parents, and Harry with his panic attacks from anything remotely triggered his child abuse. Also, Ron is such a poet in the story, describing Harry as the sun (sort of) and Draco as moonlight.

Actually, just read all of them, since they are all less than 30k, it's not going to take up much time, and will definitely bring you great joy!
