What if everybody rags on Kirk tearing his shirts all the time but they’re actually designed to be the clothing equivalent of modern cars that crumple instead of letting the occupants be harmed by the collision
The Captain didn’t feel that punch at all but his shirt exploded

Furiosa isn’t the female action hero we’re used to. Furiosa doesn’t have a dad who was taught her boxing or five brothers who taught her how to fix cars. Furiosa wasn’t a tomboy growing up, who preferred to play with the boys. Furiosa isn’t avenging the murder of her husband/brother/father or hunting down a rapist.
Furiosa comes from a community of women. She was raised by women. She works her way up through enemy ranks until she’s in a position to rescue women. Furiosa is here for women, she is here with women, and she is here because of women. Her rage, her ruthlessness, her courage – these are all things she learned from women, and from being a woman.

We're fanfic writers, we spend hours researching an incredibly niche topic we know nothing about so that we can have one sentence be factually correct

If I think about Praetorian Jack's cool headedness in battle and his warmth for his crew vs Furiosa's fieriness in a fray and her coldness toward everyone but Jack for too long, I might actually go insane.

There’s a lot to dig into re: the echoes between Jack and Max in Furiosa’s relationships with both but the thing that really got me was Jack and Furiosa, defeated and about to be tortured to death and leaning into each other, being taunted and mocked by Dementus about trying to go home, because there is no home to go back to. In Fury Road we learn this is painfully true, but then at the end Furiosa, weak and half out of her mind, uses what are almost surely her last breaths to plead very quietly to Max, “Home. Take me home.” It’s something about sharing with both these warriors her most desperate dreams and most harrowing moments of defeat, when much of the time those things are burdens or secrets she has to carry all alone or as a leader, without a partner who is equal to understanding them…? Is there something to her saying Jack’s name in one stolen moment near to dying and Max telling her his in a different one? I don’t know but I’m not fine!
