No worries - Halloween Special
A/N: This is complete inspired in LYKN short film "No worries".
Tumblr media
Natasha wasn't in the room when you woke up. You didn't know what time it was, but from the darkness outside the window, you could tell that night had fallen.
You got up and saw a note taped to the mirror across from your bed: "See you in the lobby, the new guys will be on their own today". You rolled your eyes playfully and removed the note from the mirror. Beside it, on the footrest of the bed, your friend had left your sheet. With a smile, you picked it up and headed to the lobby.
When you finally arrived, you noticed that the spot usually occupied by the hotel receptionist was empty. There were a couple of items scattered on the counter and on the floor. Natasha had started without you. How unfair.
Suddenly, a scream echoed from the employees' lounge. You chuckled, knowing exactly what was going on, and draped the sheet over yourself before walking over there. You adjusted the small holes to align with your eyes and opened the door.
Kate and Peter, the new night shift employees, were huddled in a corner, almost hugging each other. Natasha stood in front of them, wrapped in her sheet, tossing cushions at the poor kids.
When you opened the door, they screamed again, but this time, they took the opportunity to run out. Natasha turned in your direction, and once the kids had left the room, she threw off the sheet.
-Wow, you finally woke up - she said, smiling - This was getting very boring without you.
-Well, you were the one who didn't wait for me - you replied - I know it's fun, but I think sheets are pretty old-fashioned at this point, Nat. We can move things without wearing sheets, and people would still get scared.
She shrugged and flopped down onto the sofa - Doesn't matter - she said - I like the sheets. They make people run from something.
You laughed a little and threw a cushion at her face.
-Come on, no resting, those kids are around here hiding, and we have to find them - you said, leaving the room, knowing Natasha would follow you immediately.
You didn't know how you had ended up there. All you remembered was seeing a white light, and then you appeared in the hotel. It was a strange sensation; you could see everyone, you could move things, but people couldn't see you.
You knew you weren't alive; Natasha had explained it to you from the first day. You weren't like Kate and Peter; you didn't have a physical body. But you knew you had had a life. You just couldn't remember it.
Natasha had been there since the day you arrived. She had been there longer than you, so long that she had lost count. She was your only company, the only one there besides you.
She had taught you everything you knew: people couldn't see you, they could see the things you moved but not you; you could wander all around the hotel but couldn't leave it; people got more scared if you put a sheet over yourself and chased them. It was all very straightforward. Living in the hotel was simple.
You enjoyed scaring people; thanks to you and Natasha, the hotel had gained a reputation for being haunted. This caused fewer people to visit the place most of the year. You and Natasha took it upon yourselves to frighten any tenant who arrived, especially the employees. Natasha said it was better for the hotel to be empty; that way, it was better for both of you.
The trend of few tenants only broke during the month of October, as Halloween approached. The haunted hotel hosted a massive Halloween party for which people lined up to enter. But on that day, people didn't bother you and Natasha at all; that day was different.
-This key lets us open the door to this world and cross over to theirs - Natasha told you as October 31 approached, showing you a small cabinet key - We are given the opportunity to spend one night among them, one night where they can see us, where we can interact. We just have to return before dawn, or else… we start over. Do you understand?
Starting over. That's what happened if you left the hotel, if you didn't return by sunrise on a Halloween night, or if a new soul arrived. You would begin a new cycle of life, in the purest form possible – you would become a baby again. You didn't know much about the concept, but you had to avoid it; you didn't want to stop being you, you didn't want another life.
You didn't have to worry about that for a long time. Not until now.
After scaring the poor employees a bit more, Natasha and you returned to the room, laughing. You spent a few minutes, distracted, admiring the view from your window before Natasha called you.
-Y/N… - you heard her concerned voice behind you - I think… Someone else is coming.
You turned to look at her and found a weakened Natasha, with a bright light emanating from her body… fading away.
-Nat… what's happening? Why are you…?
-I'm going to start over, Y/N. Someone else is coming, and I must go… - she reminded you - You will have someone else here with you… you must teach them everything, Y/N…
-No, Nat… I don't want someone else… please - you pleaded, but it was in vain. Natasha disappeared within seconds. You ran to where your friend had been just moments ago, but there was nothing there.
It was then that you heard her sweet voice for the first time.
-Hello, my name is Wanda - she said smiling.
Life with Wanda was different. She quickly understood everything you taught her, and you enjoyed her company. You cherished her presence more than anything else.
She was young, maybe a couple of years younger than you. She was friendly, cheerful, warm… beautiful. She enjoyed scaring tenants as much as you did. She even asked you to make her own sheet.
Kate and Peter were already starting to become immune to the scares, but Wanda and you continued to chase them every night. You loved the way she laughed.
The few tenants who arrived during the year would run out of the place within hours. Wanda liked being the one to scare them first; she would burst into laughter when people got scared for the first time.
So time passed. It was just Wanda and you in your own world. You knew you weren't alive; you didn't have a beating heart; but when Wanda was near, you felt different. You didn't quite know what it was, you just wished to have her close to you forever.
You loved it when she held your hand. Sometimes it happened unconsciously while you were walking, or when you slept. That's when you began to wonder if she felt the same way as you. If she desired you as much as you desired her. Even if she didn't, having her there with you was enough.
But one day, he arrived.
Wanda and you were waiting for the new tenant in his room. As always, you would let her scare him first. You were lying on the bed, watching Wanda when the room's door creaked open. Wanda jumped in front of the man, whispering a 'boo,' causing a slight breeze to come in through the window.
Any person would have been scared. You expected a reaction from him, but he did nothing. He just stared into space, with sadness in his eyes. He looked at Wanda in front of him, and Wanda was puzzled, just like you, but she kept watching him.
Wanda could feel it; he was different.
You watched them from the bed. You knew the man couldn't see Wanda, but it seemed like he could feel her. It seemed like they were locking eyes.
She stopped smiling. She felt something, she was feeling something. But she didn't know what.
The man snapped out of the trance a few seconds later and walked, passing through Wanda.
Nothing would ever be the same.
She couldn't help it. She was drawn to that blond man. Both seemed to share a feeling of nostalgia. Wanda spent hours watching him, longing for him.
Vision Jarvis. You found out his name three days after his arrival when the hotel staff asked for his confirmation to stay a few more days. The guy didn't talk much; he interacted only when necessary and spent the rest of his days thinking, observing… feeling.
Since his arrival, Wanda hadn't been the same. It seemed like Mr.Jarvis had infected her with his sadness. He looked around, and Wanda looked at him.
You tried to cheer her up, tried to return to normalcy, but she couldn't. Something bound her to that man. You didn't understand what was happening to her, but you tried to make her smile. You stopped scaring for a while, even Peter and Kate could work in peace.
-Hasn't this happened to you with any other tenant, Y/N? - Wanda asked - It's like I can't do anything else but think about him.
No, it had never happened to you before. At least, not with someone alive. Only with Wanda.
Soon you understood the reason behind the situation.
Jarvis carried a photo of Wanda with him. One day, he simply took it out of his luggage and stared at it for hours. Wanda, who was beside him, looked at him, tears streaming down her face.
You watched the scene, unable to help feeling jealous. Wanda should be looking at you like that, not at him. It wasn't fair.
-Maybe we were together - Wanda spoke as soon as she noticed your presence - We were very close…
Things only got worse after that discovery. Jarvis cried for Wanda. Wanda cried for Jarvis. And you cried for Wanda.
Everything reached its breaking point one day when you went to Jarvis's room but didn't find Wanda there. That was unusual. You searched everywhere until you came across a sheet crying on the top floor. You walked slowly towards her, noticing her sobs.
-Hey, you're not watching him today… - you said, wrapping your arm around her to offer some comfort.
She shook her head.
-I can't do it anymore, Y/N, it hurts. I can't remember anything, but I can feel it… I can feel his pain… I just feel him - she said.
Your heart broke a little with her words, but you held your ground. You couldn't see her face; she still had the sheet over her, but you knew she was crying.
Halloween was approaching. It would hurt your soul for what you were about to do, but you couldn't bear seeing her so sad.
-I will help you be with him - you said - I will take you to his world… you just have to promise to come back before dawn.
She looked at you, confused, but you simply showed her the key. She remembered quickly and joyfully pounced on you, hugging you tightly.
October 31 came faster than you would have wished. The hotel had been preparing for its annual Halloween party over the last few days; Wanda had spent more time than usual with Jarvis, longing for the moment they would finally meet.
The hotel was bustling with people, the music blaring, and Jarvis was alone at the bar.
Wanda and you waited for the clock to strike midnight. You would only have until seven in the morning to wander around. In previous years, Nat and you enjoyed dancing, drinking, eating… even getting to know people. But this time, you didn't want to do anything else but go back through the door and stay with Wanda all night.
As soon as you crossed, Wanda ran out, but you grabbed her arm to stop her for a moment.
-Hey, Wanda… remember you have to come back before dawn…
She smiled at you - I know, I'll be back in time - she said, raising her pinkie finger as a promise. You smiled and intertwined your pinkie finger with hers.
As soon as Wanda walked through that door into the party room, Jarvis recognized her instantly. Everything seemed to happen in slow motion for you. They embraced, Jarvis smiled for the first time since he arrived at the hotel, and he gently caressed Wanda's face.
-Wanda, darling… - he whispered so intimately. You wished you could whisper her name like that.
You couldn't bear to watch anymore. You left the party and locked yourself in another room. People could see you, but you preferred to pretend you were still invisible. You took the sheet you had always used, covered yourself with it, and sat on the floor, waiting for the time to return.
It was 6:30 when you returned to the party in search of Wanda.
She seemed entranced by Jarvis. Both of them were in their own world, oblivious to the rest of the people. You sat in front of them at the bar, and when she noticed your presence, you simply pointed at the watch on your wrist.
She knew her time was almost up. She looked at Jarvis, who tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear, and she rested her head on his shoulder, intertwining their hands.
You looked at her one last time before leaving the place, waiting for her in the hallway in front of the door to cross back.
A few minutes later, both of you were in front of the door again. This time, you were more lively than before, but Wanda looked miserable.
-I don't think I can cross, Y/N… - she told you.
-What? - you asked, surprised - Wanda, if you don't come back… you'll…
-I know, I know… but it would be better to end all this suffering… I don't think I can keep living with this feeling… I feel hurt all the time, Y/N, I just can't bear it anymore - she said, on the verge of tears, looking in the direction where Jarvis was.
Your heart broke hearing her so sad. You wanted to find a solution, but nothing seemed to work. Wanda was determined.
-And… what if you take him with you? - you suggested as a last resort.
She looked at the boy one more time, shaking her head a few seconds later.
-I can't do that. I want him to live a happy and long life… he deserves it… besides, we can't have anyone else here, remember? - You closed your eyes, trying not to cry - Just go back, Y/N. Time is running out, and you have to return.
You knew what you had to do. Wanda deserved more time. You had been there long enough.
You hugged her one last time. You tried to memorize how it felt to have her close. Tears streamed down your face; you couldn't stop crying.
You looked toward where Jarvis was and saw him approaching. You broke the embrace and took Wanda's hands in yours one last time, smiling at her. When Jarvis was by your side, you placed Wanda's hands onto his.
Wanda and Jarvis would have a long time in the hotel. They would enjoy the time that had been stolen from them in life. You had spent so much time there that, just like Natasha, you had lost count. But you felt at peace with yourself. Somehow, your time had come.
The young couple walked towards the door. Jarvis was willing to leave everything for Wanda… and so were you.
Wanda looked at you one last time before the door closed. You could sense her sadness, but also her gratitude. You could even swear you saw some resistance in her; as if she didn't want to let you go.
You just smiled at her, letting her know that everything was okay. You were okay because she was okay. Slowly, you faded away, and the door closed. You had started anew.

Begin again
Wanda Maximoff x Reader
Based on Taylor Swift's Begin Again.
Summary: You gave up on love after your most recent break up, until you meet a certain brunette that makes your heart skip once more.
Wanings (?) : past toxic relationship, fluff.
Tumblr media
- C'mon Y/N, it's gonna be fun! You're my best friend, you can't miss my birthday party - the voice of your best friend, Natasha, could be heard from the speaker of your phone.
You sighed. She've been trying to convince you to go to her party for almost 30 minutes now.
- I know Nat, and I'm sorry, it's just that I have a lot of work to finish - you said, not taking your gaze off from the computer in front of you.
- Tony is coming too, I'm sure he'll understand, and besides, what you're doing it's extra work you ask Tony to do, there's no need for you to finish it now, you already delivered your regular work.
You looked at the phone like Natasha could see your stare. Of course she knew it was extra work, you told her about it the last time you two talked.
- Natasha... - you said almost in a whisper, not thinking in any other better excuse.
- Y/N, i know it's been hard, but you can't keep drowning yourself in work, life it's not over and you need to stop isolating your life from the rest of the world... -
- I don't think I'm ready - you said - I don't want to ruin your party with my sad mood.
- You could never, everybody wants yo see you, we're the life of the party in every reunion Y/N.
- I know, but that was different... I am different now.
She huffed, pissed.
- Aghh I hate what she did to you, she never liked you to hang out with me... She made you a shell of yourself.
Your breath hitched at her words.
- I'm sorry, I didn't meant to say that, but you know I'm not angry at you... I'm angry at her - she paused for a second - Please, I want my bestie here - the redhead tried again.
You bit your lower lip, thinking for a few seconds.
You breathed deep in, containing the tears, only wanting for her to stop saying those things.
- Okay, I'll be there - you gave in before thinking more about it - I'll see you tomorrow Nat.
Your friend laughed happily in the other side.
- Yes! I'll se you...
You didn't heard the rest, you just hang up. The memories from the past haunting you down again.
- I'm just saying I don't like the way you are when you're with Natasha, all the effusive and noisy personality doesn't fit you... - she said one night when you were getting ready for a night out with your friends.
- But she's my best friend, I want you to meet her and get along - you told her.
- No way, you can go out all you want but don't drag me into this, I'm not going - she said with a disgusting tone.
You sighed.
- You shouldn't go either, it's better when you're not in that fastidious party mood Natasha puts you in, and you know I'm not a fan of you wearing high heels...
You frowned looking down at your pair of high heels asking to yourself what was wrong with them, but she got closer to you and hugged you from behind.
- Stay, I want you here too - she said, kissing your cheek.
You didn't say anything, just nodded.
- Okay, let me... - you let out a breath, disappointed - Let me change my dress and we can stay here.
She smiled happy, she had you in the palm of her hand.
- That's the girl I like - she said.
Against your own will, you changed your night outfit and sent a message to your friends apologizing for not going. But at the moment, you preferred to make your girlfriend happy, even if you weren't.
Audrey Anderson was your girlfriend over a year and a half. Since the moment you met her you put yourself into certain changes in order to make her like you more.
You stopped listening to some kind of music cause Audrey said she didn't understand it, even if there was nothing to understand.
Your clothes choices adjusted to the style she said it looked better in you, even if you felt weird about yourself, or if you wanted to try something new.
No matter how hard you tried, she always had something to say to make herself happier about you.
You used to please her cause you thought that was what love was about: make sacrifices for the other. You really liked her in the beginning and you were willing to make anything to make your relationship work.
Your friends noticed your change of demanour immediately and instantly began to hate your relationship, even hate your girlfriend herself. They were worried about you cause they felt you were losing yourself because of her. The toxic relationship you were in was like a black hole: it seemed impossible for them to drag you out.
That's the same reason she induced you to see them less a less everytime until the point you only saw them once or twice a month.
You noticed your changes too but you couldn't do anything, you wanted Aubrey, and she wanted you too.
Or at least that's what you thought.
Five months ago you started to notice changes in her. It started with her coming home later than she usually did, and when you asked her about it she only said she was working late or she went to have a drink with her friends.
Then it was really late when she came home. Almost 1 pm, the last time before your break up. Your friends told you to stop being so easy on her and confront the situation, but when you did it everything went down hill for your relationship.
Long story short, she was cheating on you, and you discovered it through her massages. And even when you caught her red handed she screamed at you for checking her phone behind her back, and called you an "obsessive toxic crazy girlfriend".
She blamed her cheating on your "behavior" and didn't even said sorry to you.
Now, you were trying to bounce back from that toxic situation she got you in. Your friends helped you a lot, but a break up it's never easy, and you've found yourself still crying from time to time.
You felt stupid. Why were you still grieving that relationship when she cheated on you? Even if one day she comes back saying sorry, you shouldn't forgive her.
But Audrey got deep inside your brain and sometimes you wonder if it was actually your fault. That's how love works, right? Maybe she failed, but it could've still worked if you solved that issue and just move forward.
You shook your head and closed your laptop desesperatly. All the what if's were driving you crazy.
That's how you found yourself knocking Natasha's door. It's been longer than five minutes and nobody has open the door yet.
You were about to call Natasha to tell her you were outside when someone interrupts you.
- You know, Natasha never hears her front door - a feminine voice tells you.
You turn around and you lose your breath for a few seconds. A (really gorgeous) brunette walks into Natasha's porch.
- I'm Wanda, Wanda Maximoff, I'm Nat's friend from work - she introduces herself with a smile.
You smile shyly too.
- I'm Y/N, Nat's friend from college - you say.
She nods politely.
- A pleasure Y/N, how long have you been knocking?
- A few minutes now, but you're right, Natasha doesn't hear anything.
She giggles and pull her phone off from her purse.
- Let me give her call.
You only nod again and some minutes later your redheaded friend is opening the door for the two of you.
- Wanda! Thanks for coming, it's so nice to see you! - Nat says hugging the girl.
- Nat! Happy birthday! - the brunette replied, hugging her back - I brought you a present, I hope you like it... - she said handing the gift to her.
- Ohh thank you so much! You didn't have to give me anything but thank you! - Nat said, now looking at your- Seems like you found our dear Y/N - she told Wanda, opening her arms for you to hug her.
Slightly smiling you accepted the affection.
- Happy birthday - you say in whisper, almost only for her to hear.
- It's nice to see you, you look good. How are you feeling?
You sigh.
- I'm better.
She smiles.
- You look better.
- Thanks - you say.
Natasha looks at you for some seconds before looking back at Wanda, who was watching the whole interaction.
- Let's go, everyone it's in the backyard, we have food and drinks.
You follow her and the evening goes smoothly. Reconnecting with your friends felt good; you experienced a happiness you hadn't felt in a long time. Everyone was delighted to see you, and though no one said it out loud, everyone was glad that you ended your relationship with Audrey.
While most of your friends were there, your mind couldn't help but think about the beautiful green-eyed girl you met at the entrance. Wanda kept her distance, mostly chatting with the few work friends of Nat's that she knew. Occasionally, you discreetly searched for her with your gaze, only to find that she was already looking at you. In those moments, you felt your cheeks turn red instantly, and you turned away, pretending you weren't looking at her. She didn't turn away and just smiled sweetly at you.
After the cake, when some people had already left, Wanda and you helped Natasha pick up some chairs and wash a few dishes so she wouldn't have to do it alone. Wanda was a sweet girl, and you couldn't help but smile just being near her.
- She was the first one to talk to me that first day, Natasha has always been really good to me, I was so lucky to become her friend - Wanda was sharing the story of how she met Natasha on her first day at work.
- I know, ever since high school, Natasha has always been like that. I was too introverted; I couldn't even look people in the eye - you recalled with a laugh - But she was kind, and she gave me the confidence to open up more. Thanks to her, I met my other friends.
You continued chatting with Wanda for a few more minutes until your friend Maria came to say goodbye to you.
- It was really great to see you - she said, giving you a hug - I'm glad you're back, Y/N, truly. You know we're all here for you - You gave her a half-smile before nodding - I love you, and I want you to be happy.
You didn't quite know how to react. People were congratulating you as if your past self had been absent or on a journey, as if they only now felt that their friend was back.
And that only made you feel worse. You could only ask yourself, "How did I let someone change me so much?"
Wanda, who had been analyzing your interactions that night, was uncertain about how to get closer to you. From the moment she met you at the door, she felt drawn to you. But you were reserved, and although she hadn't had the chance to talk to you much, she wanted to get to know you. She just wasn't exactly sure how to proceed to ask you out.
So, before the party ended, Wanda approached Natasha to ask about you. She was hoping for a short, perhaps even vague, response.
"She's just a bit shy"
"She's somewhat reserved."
Nothing prepared Wanda for the story that Nat told her. She didn't go into too many details since it was your private life, and she was essentially a stranger to you, but she provided the general context: you had a girlfriend who wasn't good for you. Wanda shared with Natasha that she had planned to ask you out.
After all that Nat had told her, Wanda was sure she would advise against it, maybe suggesting that you needed space or that it wasn't the right time for you to start a new relationship. However, Nat just looked at her with a small smile.
- I knew you two would get along - she said - Go ahead and ask her out. She might not say yes on the first try, but it would be good for Y/N to go out with someone like you. You're a good person, Wanda, and I trust that even if it doesn't turn into something serious, you wouldn't hurt Y/N in any way.
Minutes later, as you were saying goodbye to your friends, Wanda took advantage of the brief interaction to ask for your phone number.
- I just want to get to know you better - she said - If you're interested, we could grab coffee or have a meal together.
You hesitated for a few seconds. You glanced to your right and noticed that Nat was watching you and Wanda not so discreetly, hiding a small smile while pretending to sip from her glass.
- You don't have to say yes, I understand if you... - Wanda was trying to ease you out of the awkward situation, but your brain spoke before you could process what you would say.
- No, it's okay, I'd like to get to know you too - you replied with a smile, accepting Wanda's phone to enter your number.
As you lay in your bed at home, you thought about the interaction with Wanda. She was beautiful, you knew that very well. From the moment you met her, you noticed how lovely and kind she was. The brief conversation you had with her revealed she had a good sense of humor and that, in fact, you had several things in common. You knew that if you went to that coffee date, you would have a good time.
But something you couldn't shake off was this feeling that she would be the one to get bored with you, that she would realize you were dull and leave after the first date. Audrey always said it: she found you boring, no one would go out with you more than twice without realizing you didn't have much to offer, but you were pretty, and that was enough for her. But perhaps it wouldn't be enough for Wanda.
The sound of your phone snapped you out of your reverie. You looked at your phone and saw that an unknown number had sent you a message:
W: "Hey, it's Wanda. I just wanted to make sure you got home safely."
You unconsciously smiled and added her number to your contacts before responding:
Y: "Hi, I got home a few minutes ago. Have you arrived yet?"
W: "Yes, thank you for asking"
W: "So… about that coffee… when are you free?"
You took a few moments to think about your response. You weren't entirely sure if you wanted to go. Wanda seemed like an amazing girl, and you didn't want to waste her time.
Y:"Yeah, about that…"
W: "We can cancel it if you want. I don't want to pressure you into going if you're not comfortable"
You thought about saying that it would be better to cancel, that maybe you weren't looking to get to know anyone at the moment. But you didn't want that. You liked Wanda, and you were eager to get to know her. You gathered your courage and typed your response before you could second-guess yourself.
Y: "No, I don't want to cancel, it's just that I can't meet up until Wednesday. Is that okay for you?"
Her response arrived within seconds.
W: "Of course, see you on Wednesday"
You smiled and agreed on the coffee shop where you would meet. It was a place near your workplace and close to a park where Wanda mentioned she liked to go running on weekends.
When Wednesday finally arrived, you couldn't stop thinking about Wanda. You had been texting since that night, and with each conversation, you discovered how compatible you were. You couldn't believe you had so much in common with someone. It only heightened your nerves to a hundred percent for your date.
With Audrey, you didn't used to go on many dates. After she asked you to be her girlfriend, she stopped making an effort to make a good impression. The only times you went out, on your anniversary or something similar, the experience wasn't great. Audrey was always late, but she asked you to arrive early so you wouldn't lose the reservation. You would sit alone until she felt like showing up, and then she would only talk about her own things and issues. There was no space for you to share about your day or your work. In the end, you would pay the bill, and she would rush ahead to leave as quickly as possible.
After many failed dates, you stopped asking her out, even for special occasions. You didn't want to deal with the headache that came with going out with her.
That morning, you walked to the café where you would meet Wanda. Habit had you mentally preparing for her to arrive late, forcing you to wait for a while. But when you entered the establishment, you were greeted by the delicious smell of coffee and Wanda, waving to you from a table.
Seeing her there on time took you by surprise. You weren't used to that. You approached her with a smile, and Wanda got up from her chair to greet you.
- Hi, how are you? - she asked.
- Hi, I'm good, thanks. How about you? - you responded.
- I'm doing great, thanks for coming - she said, smiling.
Wanda approached the chair you were going to sit in and courteously pulled it out for you. It seemed like the simplest thing in the world. Basic courtesy. But the kind gesture melted your heart. Wanda took her seat again, not even noticing how nice the gesture was for you. But you did.
After placing your orders, you started making small talk. Wanda didn't want to push you into discussing more personal topics, but you felt quite comfortable with the conversation.
Gradually, you start sharing more about yourself. You tell Wanda about your job, your hobbies, which university you attended, how you met Nat, and discuss your interests. She listens attentively, contributing to the conversation when she feels it's appropriate.
But after a while, you pause, realizing that you've only been talking about yourself, and you worry that Wanda might be getting bored of hearing about your mundane life. You awkwardly apologize, but she reassures you that everything is fine.
- You're really interesting, Y/N - she said with a smile - Tell me more, seriously.
For a moment, you hesitated, but you saw the sincerity in her eyes, and that gave you the confidence to continue.
You shared stories about you and Nat in college. The story of your first party had her laughing a lot. It seemed strange to you that she thought you were so funny, but she was tossing her head back in laughter like a little kid. Audrey never told you that you were funny.
After a while, Wanda began to speak. That's when you discovered she wasn't from America but had migrated with her family from Sokovia, a country in Eastern Europe, when she was very young. You listened attentively, fascinated by her country's culture. She told you about her brother Pietro, her parents, and her job as a literature teacher at a local high school.
Soon, you discovered that she was just as much of an Adele fan as you were. You told her about all the albums you owned and the concerts you had been able to attend. Surprisingly, she had been present at some of those concerts, and both of you found it amusing to think that you might have crossed paths much earlier.
- Wow, you're the first person I've met with as many Adele records as me - she said, laughing.
You had seen her laugh throughout the date, but that smile she gave you when talking about Adele filled your stomach with a thousand butterflies. You wanted to make her laugh like that forever.
After nearly two hours, both of you had to leave. Wanda had to make it to her afternoon classes. You took out your wallet to pay, but she stopped you.
- No, please, I invited you, I'll pay - she said.
You insisted on at least paying for what you had consumed, but she flatly refused.
You exited the café and were ready to say goodbye, but Wanda asked where your car was. When you indicated that you had parked a block away, she started walking with you.
On the way, you thought about how different Wanda was from Audrey. Your ex-girlfriend would never have walked you to your car. Wanda was so lovely that you felt like you didn't deserve her. She was too good for you. You were about to tell her this, about Audrey and yourself, and how you didn't think you were ready for someone as amazing as her.
But Wanda kept the conversation going, picking up on a topic you had discussed during the date.
- Do you remember the movies I told you my family likes watch during Christmas? - she asked - They're going to screen one of them at a local cinema near my place. Would you like to go see it with me? It's next Saturday - she said, a little nervous about suggesting a second date.
Yes, you were about to mention Audrey, but no… you preferred to talk about those Christmas movies.
You told her it was a great idea, and she agreed to pick you up from your house. Audrey left your mind for the first time in months, and finally, you felt that the past was truly behind you.
You and Wanda said goodbye with a hug that made your heart race a thousand beats per minute. You got into your car and smiled as you watched Wanda walk to hers.
For the past eight months, you had been thinking that love wasn't for you. Audrey had made you feel so bad that you thought it was the end of the line for you. You believed that without Audrey, no one would love you again. You thought that love only was meant to brake you, made you feel like you were burning from the inside, and then just end. For months, you believed that you wouldn't love anyone again, you avoided meeting people to avoid the pain of seeing them go. But you met Wanda, and she made your heart feel alive again. You realized it wasn't over.
That Wednesday, in that café, you watched it beginning again.

Can't forget about you
Summary: You wake up in a hospital room knowing nothing about yourself. No name, no age, no family. You can't remember anything. Except for one thing. One person. Her.
A/N: Sooo I decided to keep this story going. In case anyone remember this fic, thanks. If you want to be add to the taglist let me know! :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Chapter 5
Chapter 4 / Chapter 6
- That's all I know about her. I don't have any more information about her life - Wanda said. The entire team was seated in the conference room. At the end of the table, Wanda crossed her arms, wearing a cold expression.
The whole team looked at her with disbelief. They knew there was crucial information that Wanda wasn't sharing with them. Steve, the calmest member of the group, got up from his seat and began to walk towards the girl sitting there.
- Wanda… let's recap the information you provided: you met Y/N on a college campus whose name you can't remember, she doesn't have a home or family you know of, and you've never met any of her friends. But… somehow, she's the love of your life - Steve said.
- Yes, I love her more than anything - Wanda replied.
Everyone looked at each other in confusion. They wanted to be on Wanda's side, but she wasn't cooperating at all. That's when Tony got up from his seat with an exasperated sigh and stood next to the redhead's chair.
- Maximoff, this is ridiculous. We've already fulfilled our end of the deal and let you see the girl. Why don't you want to cooperate? - The man took off his glasses, faced with Wanda's expressionless gaze - We just want to help you, but we can't if you're not a hundred percent honest with us.
The girl let out an ironic sigh.
- Sure, you want to help me… just like you helped me in the cabin? - Her voice grew harder - You're partly to blame for her not remembering me, if only...
- We did what we believed was right; we did our job. Besides, if I recall correctly, you were just as much to blame as we were, so don't come here playing the victim," he replied.
Wanda stood up angrily to face Stark. It was then that both Steve and Natasha stood up to be prepared and try to defuse the situation.
- Okay, why don't we all calm down? - The Captain intervened between them, moving Wanda away from Tony - Wanda, we're your team, we're on your side. The cabin accident was just that, an accident. Y/N is fine, and despite her memory issue, she's healthy. If you truly love her and want us to defend her against Strange, you need to tell us the whole truth.
- We let you see Y/N even though Strange asked us to keep them apart. And you'll still be able to see her, Wanda. We're putting our trust in you. You can trust us - Natasha said.
Wanda looked at them - I've already told you everything I know. I met her on a campus I visited for its extensive library; she works in the field of physics. I don't know much about her family because I believe she doesn't get along with them, and I never asked further because I didn't want to pressure her into sharing something that hurt her. I don't know why Strange is against us, but I know she doesn't deserve any of this. We love each other and wanted to live together. What's wrong with that?
After that, the girl left the room, leaving the entire team in silence.
- What do we do now? Maximoff refuses to cooperate, and Strange is going to demand answers tomorrow… - Tony said, unbuttoning the collar of his shirt.
- She's scared, Tony. She doesn't want to lose Y/N, and we basically tried to separate them the last time, and honestly, I don't understand why. Strange only asked us to keep them apart and didn't give us any explanations. Now Y/N's amnesia has become a problem, but I don't understand why it was necessary to keep them apart before -Natasha spoke.
- Strange said there was something peculiar in Y/N's essence, something that didn't add up. In his magical abode, he sensed a threat, something that could potentially be dangerous. Besides, all the mystery surrounding her and Wanda makes the suspicions sound more plausible - Tony explained.
- Well, even though we don't have the name of the campus Wanda visited, I can still make a few calls to colleagues at nearby universities and inquire about Y/N - Bruce added - I'll also keep Y/N monitored throughout the night to see if there's any increased neural activity in her memory during her dreams - The doctor got up to leave.
Everyone murmured a thank you, and the room was left empty.
The next day, a gentle knock on your door woke you up. Slowly, you approached the door, and as you turned the handle, a smiling Wanda greeted you with a smile.
- Good morning, sleepyhead… Did you sleep well? - Wanda asked.
Her energy was contagious, so you couldn't help but smile immediately - Good morning, Wanda. I did have a good rest, thank you for asking - you replied.
- I'm glad to hear that - she stared at you for a few seconds - You look really cute just waking up... - she smiled at you and you flushed - Oh didn't want to... i'm sorry if i made you uncomfortable.
- It's okay, Wanda, it doesn't bother me - you said with a smile - Come on in, you won't stay in the hallway forever. The girl smiled, and both of you entered the room.
- Today, we have to go to your rehab session. Plus, I know you don't like it, but today you have to see Strange; he'll come to assess you - Wanda told you.
Your face showed your displeasure at the thought of Strange's visit - Will you be with me today? - you asked.
- Yeah, all day, except when Strange arrives. He can't know that I've been close to you, but apart from that, we'll be together all day, starting now with a breakfast that I'll prepare for you as soon as you take a shower - Wanda said.
You smiled at the prospect of spending time with her. You couldn't wait to learn more about her relationship - I better hurry then, I'm starving, and that breakfast sounds excellent - you said.
- Hurry up, I'll be here waiting - Wanda looked around and added - While you shower, I'll help you make the bed so we can go straight down for breakfast.
You nodded and turned around. But before heading to the bathroom, you looked at her once more and, with a blush on your face, you spoke - Wanda… um…
- Tell me, do you need something? - she asked.
- I was just wondering… um… if I could give you… if you'd allow me to give you a kiss, like last night… - You closed your eyes out of embarrassment, but you heard the sweet sound of her laughter, and you felt a pair of hands cupping your face. Her mouth moved closer to yours, and her soft lips met yours. You immediately responded to the kiss, caressing her face as she lowered her hands to your waist.
Once they broke the kiss, Wanda pressed her forehead against yours and whispered - You don't have to ask, I'm yours, Y/N…
You smiled and quickly took a shower so as not to keep Wanda waiting. The breakfast she prepared was delicious, and as you ate, she told you more stories about the two of you. Everything felt like a dream; your heart felt happy and at ease. Maybe you didn't remember much of the anecdotes Wanda shared, but your mind felt at peace; she conveyed peace to you. There was no doubt that you loved her.
When the time for your rehabilitation session arrived, both of you headed to the medical area to meet with Bruce.
- Hey Y/N, good to see you today. How was your first night here? - Dr. Banner greeted you as soon as you entered the room.
- It was fine, thank you. Everything went smoothly - you replied politely.
- I'm glad to hear that. Today, we'll be following the same therapy you had at the hospital, and we'll also try to stimulate your mind with exercises to see what we can discover today… - a woman in a lab coat entered the room, waving her hand - She's Dr. Helen Cho; she'll be joining us today.
You greeted her politely, and the session began. First, they conducted physical tests. You managed to pass the simpler ones without any issues, but some coordination tests proved to be more challenging.
One hand up, left foot down, right hand up, and then switch to the other hand with the opposite foot up. Your brain struggled to process so many instructions at once. Gradually, you began to feel overwhelmed.
- Okay, Y/N, take a break while we assess the initial data you provided - Bruce said, and your breathing returned to normal at his instruction.
Wanda, who was in the room with Bruce, listened to what the doctor was telling her.
- She clearly has coordination issues, but that's normal in patients who have experienced head trauma. With more sessions, she'll return to normal. She walks well, hears and sees correctly, and has no problem recognizing shapes, colors, sounds, or scents. Physical coordination therapy is the only thing left, of course, besides her memory problem. But apart from that, and speaking solely about her physical health, everything is fine, Wanda - Bruce explained.
Wanda smiled - Thank you very much, Bruce. It's great to hear that.
Bruce smiled slightly before speaking again - Now I need to take her to the control room to continue the research on her. You know that Strange will be there, and you can't…
- I know - Wanda interrupted him - Just let me say goodbye to her, and I'll let you take her with you. But before that… Do you know what kind of tests they'll be conducting on her today? - she asked.
- I actually don't know - Bruce said - Perhaps some recognition tests, but I'm not sure what Strange will request.
Wanda nodded and left the room. When you saw her enter the room, you smiled.
- How do you feel? - she asked - You did a great job, Y/N. Bruce says you're completely healthy.
- I'm fine, I guess - you let out a frustrated sigh - It's just the coordination that bothers me. I can't seem to do the tests well, and… aggh, I can't believe I can't do it.
- Hey, it's all right, sweetheart. You did a great job, some things will be more challenging, but that's why you're here, and I'm not going anywhere. I'll be with you every step of the way… - She gave you a gentle kiss on the forehead to calm you - Now, you have to go do more tests with Bruce and the rest of the team, and of course, Strange. But as soon as you're done, and I can see you, we'll go have lunch, okay?
You nodded and said your goodbyes to her. Minutes later, you were in the same control room as the day before, with everyone present except for Strange.
- Today, we'll show you some images we've selected. They are photographs of everyday objects and places. You just have to tell us the first thing that comes to your mind when you see them - Steve explained.
- If you don't have an answer right away, you can take your time. There's no rush to give a quick response - Nat added - After this, we'll see if Strange shows up for more tests, but if he doesn't, that'll be it for today until he comes with more answers about what might be happening to you.
They placed the same cap with wires on your head as yesterday, and the photos began to appear in front of you.
The first photo showed a house. It looked like it was from an animated movie but was very cute and simple - Story - you responded.
The next one showed a city; it was daytime, and there were hundreds of buildings - New York - you replied.
The next one was a couple hugging. Your response was quick and obvious - Wanda - you said promptly.
Several more photos followed, and your responses were either obvious or literal descriptions of the images displayed. In the control room, they tried to encourage you to think more about your answers, but your brain seemed unable to connect anything to something or someone specific.
After a few more attempts without accurate responses, they told you they would stop for a few minutes to discuss your answers.
- There's nothing, we have nothing - Tony said - It seems like the only thing familiar to her is Wanda. It doesn't make sense; this girl must have had a life before meeting Wanda… I don't understand.
- My colleagues at nearby universities responded this morning - Bruce spoke up - No one has anyone named Y/N Y/LN on their roster. If Wanda met this girl, it must have been at a somewhat distant university, which also doesn't make sense…
Everyone fell silent for a few moments.
- Did Strange say if he was coming? - Steve asked.
- No, he said he would visit someone who might help and that he wouldn't be coming - Nat replied - If we're not going to do more tests, we should let Y/N go.
- Let me try one more thing - Bruce requested - If this doesn't work, we'll let her go for today.
Everyone agreed, and Bruce spoke to you through the microphone.
- Y/N, Wanda told us that you used to work in the physics department of a university. Can you tell me if you remember anything about your old job? - Bruce asked.
- I can't remember anything about it - you said honestly - Maybe Wanda…
- No, Wanda can't help us for now. Maybe you can remember something on your own… Think about the words 'physics,' 'job,' 'university.' What do they sound like to you? - Bruce prompted.
You took your time to think. - 'Physics' sounds like science - you replied - 'Job'… is money, and also… happy? - You pondered the last word a bit more. You closed your eyes and imagined a university - University is a building; it's brick-colored and has two towers, and there's an emblem - You continued to imagine - In my mind, it's a lion with a torch - you laughed at your response - The colors are yellow and brown, and it's very cold.
Everyone was deep in thought. Perhaps you needed to use your imagination more instead of relying on preconceived images.
- What else is there at that university, Y/N? - Bruce encouraged you to continue describing.
You continued to imagine - There are many trees, there are laboratories, and… one has my name - in your mind, there were many people, but you couldn't put names to the faces - There are many students, and my lab always smells like coffee. There's also a library and a large auditorium - You saw it in the first person, as if you were living it yourself - I have a colleague, with brown hair.
Suddenly, a voice, your own voice, resonates in your head: "Matt," you say, laughing.
Your head hurts, the readings of your brain activity spike and become confusing, and you feel the need to remove the cables from your skull. In the control room, Nat rushes to help you and asks Friday to call Wanda immediately.
But you can't stop thinking about what your voice said, and you say it out loud - Matt… my colleague's name is Matt, I remember - Everyone is left stunned and not knowing what to say; they had definitely made progress.
The silence is almost immediately broken when Wanda enters through the door and approaches you.
- What happened? - she asked, concerned - Are you okay, sweetheart? - She took your face in her hands, and you nodded as you hugged her. But she didn't calm down and turned towards the camera, knowing it was watching from the control room - Enough is enough, it's over for today. I won't allow you to hurt her - she said angrily before taking your hand and leading you out of the control room.
Once in your room, Wanda gives you the pills that the doctor prescribed for your headaches and prepares you some tea.
- What happened in there, honey? - she asked - Why did they hurt you?
You shook your head and explained - No, they were conducting a test, but something different happened this time - Your voice sounded excited - I remembered something, Wanda. I remembered the university where I used to work, and I remembered someone… maybe you knew him. His name is Matt.
Wanda came to a sudden stop for a few seconds. This shouldn't be happening. You weren't supposed to remember…
- No - she finally spoke - I don't know him, but you mentioned him once. Maybe he worked with you, but I never met him personally.
You wanted to continue talking about the topic, but Wanda interrupted, saying she had bought food for both of you, and you headed to the dining area. You noticed a change in Wanda; she seemed more serious, but you interpreted it as her concern over your crisis during the test.
Meanwhile, in the control room, the rest of the team was discussing what had happened minutes earlier.
- There's no university with that logo, at least not in the United States. We'd have to investigate in other countries, but then Wanda's story about how they met wouldn't make sense - Bruce said - The only good thing we got out of it was the name. If we find the university with a lion and torch logo and ask about Matt from the physics department, we'll get more answers.
- All right, Avengers, we have work to do - Clint said, getting up - I'll try to talk to Wanda to get more information, and I'll let you know right away. In the meantime, try to contact Strange to find out where the hell he is.
The archer left the room, and the others followed suit. They had an extensive search to conduct, and they knew it wouldn't be easy.
Clint arrived in the dining area and found you washing a glass at the sink, but there was no sign of Wanda.
- Hey, where's Wanda? I thought she'd be with you - he asked.
- Oh, she was here, but she had to leave in a hurry. She didn't tell me where she was going, but she left quickly. She said we'd see each other later - you explained.
Clint furrowed his brow. Wanda used to disappear from time to time, but he didn't think she would continue to do so with you in the compound.
But he didn't have much time to think because a loud voice echoed throughout the place.
- Heyyy! Where is everyone? This place looks like a graveyard - Thor's cheerful voice announced his arrival after being away in space for months.
The other Avengers arrived at the scene. No one anticipated that Thor didn't know who you were, let alone that you didn't know the people there had powers.
But that changed in a matter of minutes because after a few quick greetings, the god of thunder noticed that he wasn't carrying his precious hammer with him. However, there was no major issue because he simply raised his arm, and Mjölnir came to him.
That's when you let out a scream of surprise, and the others in the room reacted. Your face reflected astonishment, doubt, and even fear. A thousand thoughts raced through your mind at that moment, but you couldn't articulate a coherent response.
- What? What the hell was that? … It looked like… how did he… and the hammer… -You wanted to ask a thousand questions, but you couldn't form a single coherent sentence.
- Y/N, calm down. We'll explain, but we need you to calm down - Natasha told you, directing you to a chair - Take a seat and breathe.
Thor, confused, addressed you - Hey, are you new here? I am Thor, the God of Thunder - he introduced himself friendly while making his eyes glow to give you a small demonstration of his powers. However, that only made you scream.
The others scolded Thor and helped you calm down. It would be a long night trying to explain to you that most of the people there had powers, including your girlfriend.
-----------------
Wanda arrived at the cabin in the middle of the forest, making sure no one had followed her. But her powers told her that something was amiss. Before knocking on the door, she used her powers to see what was happening inside. She closed her eyes and could see that Strange was there. Quickly, she cast an enchantment to go unnoticed and hid among the trees, waiting for the sorcerer to come out.
After a few minutes, Strange came out and opened a portal in front of the cabin. The woman behind him looked exhausted but had a determined look in her eyes, clearly at odds with the man.
- This won't be the last time you hear from me, witch. What you and Wanda are doing is wrong. I don't care if you enjoy dabbling in dark magic in your free time, but Y/N is innocent, and I will do everything in my power to send her home, even if it means breaking the rules of my own magic - Strange declared with determination, then disappearing through the portal after that.
Wanda's eyes turned red with anger as she heard his statements. No one would ever separate you from her, not even Strange.
The woman turned towards where Wanda was hiding and said, - You can come out now. We need to talk, Wanda.
Wanda dispelled the spell on her to allow the witch in front of her to see her.
- We have a problem, Agatha. She's remembering… that's not supposed to happen - Wanda spoke to her mentor as they entered the cabin. - Also, why was Strange here? What did he want?
- He suspects, Wanda. We're running out of time before he figures it out and takes your beloved - Agatha told her. - We need to act immediately if you want to keep her... In the meantime, I'll give you a spell to continue blocking her memories... after all, she told you she wanted to be with you...
The other woman
Wanda Maximoff x Williams!Reader
Natasha Romanoff x Williams!Reader
Royal AU
Angst - Cheating - Forced Marriage - If you love Natasha don't read this. (really)
Summary:
W: Young people fall in love with the wrong people sometimes.
N: You can think that you're in love when you're really just engaged.
A/N: Reader's last name is Williams, it's easier to write this way. This has been in my drafts for months lol. I saw a Tik Tok edit of the Corpse Bride and thought of this. Still not sure about how it turned out though.
Tumblr media
- Stop being so silly Y/N, you know I will miss you just as much as you're going to miss me - Wanda said smiling, her head resting on your chest while one of your hands rubbed her back up and down.
- I know, I just wish I could stay here with you, I don't care about this stupid trip, I'd rather be here for your birthday, for that giant celebration your father is planning - you said, looking down into her eyes.
- You've been here for each and every one of my birthdays since we were 12, nothing will happen if you miss this one, even if it's "especial", I understand you have to go with your parents - she replied.
You huffed.
- I don't even know why I have to go in the first place, they have always gone by themselves, I don't know why I'm required this time - you explained - And I don't like it either, they're up to something, I can feel it.
She cupped your cheek and pecked your lips.
- You're their only daughter, their only Princess, the only heir for their kingdom, maybe they want to give you more responsibilities from now on... You're gonna be Queen someday, it's time you get prepared for it...
- I've been preparing for it my whole life - you sighed - But you're right, maybe it's time for me to take it seriously.
You stared at her and smiled.
- And maybe I can talk to them in this trip about us - you said, and her eyes sparkled with illusion at your words - I'll tell them I'm marrying you, and we'll plan the proposal for when we get back.
- Are you serious my love? Will you ask my hand in marriage? - she asked happily.
- Of course I will, I want to spend the rest of my life by your side.
She kissed you and you smiled.
- Also, I have to beat that Jarvis Prince - you said - I've heard the rumors, but if I ask you first and you accept me, there will not be any reason for us to not get married.
- Your royal highness, it's time to leave, the King asked for your presence - you heard a voice calling for you.
- On my way - you replied.
- Come back to me my love, and have fun in your trip - Wanda said, kissing you one last time.
- I'll be back in no time, and then, it'll be just us, for eternity my lady.
- For eternity Y/N... - she replied.
------------
4 months later.
The King and the Queen of Williams Kingdom are happy to announce the engagement of their heir, Princess Y/N, with the noble Princess Natasha Romanoff.
The Royal Family announced the happy news during their stay in the Romanoff Kingdom.
This makes young Romanoff the future Queen to the rightful heir to the throne of Williams House. The union of this two families represents one of the most important alliances in the last decades, the two kingdoms will surely benefit from this marriage.
It seems like love has been in the air from some time now, let's remember just a month ago the Maximoff family announced the marriage of their youngest daughter Princess Wanda and the future King Vision Jarvis, on her 18th birthday celebration.
Good luck to these new happy couples and the best of luck for all of them.
--------
- Don't act like you didn't knew about it! You fooled me! - you screamed in exasperation pacing around the room with the newsletter in your hand.
- We didn't knew Maximoff would get the girl married so early, but yes, there's no reason to lie, we knew about the wedding - your father told you.
- It was all planned, wasn't it? This trip, meeting Natasha, Wanda's birthday celebration - you mentioned harshly - You played with us like we were chess pieces, you decided our lives without asking us anything...
- There was nothing to ask, your little teenage romance with Wanda was senseless, she was promised to Jarvis even before they were born... And you, we waited for the right girl to come to your life, for the perfect Queen for you to love... And that is Natasha...
- YOU DON'T GET TO DECIDE THAT! THAT WAS MY CHOICE! - you screamed, you couldn't handle listen to him anymore.
- Well it's not! I am the King and I know what's best for you and for the kingdom! And as long as this crown is perched on my head you will obey each and every one of my orders, especially those orders that relate to the future of my legacy!
You took a step back, not believing what your father was saying.
- You're gonna marry Natasha Romanoff and get the biggest alliance in the history of our family and that's a direct order, not from your father, but from your King!
That was it. Those last words made you understand that, whatever you had left to say would be pointless. The King made a decision, and there was no turning back.
You lowered you head, and nodded.
- Yes, your Majesty.
Holding back the tears from your breaking heart you had the courage to ask for one more thing.
- Tell Natasha I'll meet her in our residence back at home, I need to travel now to talk with Wanda about this decision and finish everything in the best way possible. We're still friends, and for the sake of our friendship with the Maximoff House it would be wise to keep our alliance with them.
Your father took a few seconds to process your request but finally nodded.
- That's okay, you can go now.
Bowing down once more you left the room with tears already falling down your face.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Stopping your horse right in front of the small cabin placed in the middle of the woods your heart was pounding like crazy. When you made it inside and saw those beautiful green eyes it finally explode in love.
- Y/N! My love - she said the moment you walked in, running into your arms.
You hugged her immediately and both of you melted in a heated passion kiss after all those months separated.
- My lady... My Wanda... How you've been my love? I know life must have been hell for you just as it's been for me - you said, with your arms still around the girl.
- Oh you have no idea... They made me marry Vision the same day of my birthday, without warning. When I told my father it was you the one I loved he told me I was crazy - she started to cry - He said it was ridiculous because you were already engaged to another woman, promised to someone else. It broke my heart because I realized we had fallen in their trap my love, they made the choices for us.
- I know, I realized that too, and when I confront my father about it... - you gulped at the memory - He yelled at me like never before and command me to get marry, not as my father, but as my king.
Wanda whipped away a tear that was rolling down your cheek.
- I didn't know they were gonna announce an engagement until the day before. They gave me no choice - you said, now both of you were sitting in the edge of the bed.
- Is Natasha aware of your your displeasure? - she asked.
You shook your head.
- No, I don't think so, she was very excited when they announced the engagement... She thinks it's all genuine.
- Vision thinks as well, he thinks I want him... Even though I have refused to sleep with him...
You looked at her worried. Heartbroken. Not even you had dare to touch her in a passionate way.
- What are we going to do my love? They took everything from us, even our freedom...
She sighed.
- I don't know... I'm just sure I don't want us to end, we are soul mates Y/N, you are the love of my life... I don't care if you're married to someone else as long as I know I'm the only one for you... Because you're the only one for me...
- Wanda, in my world there's only you and then the rest of the people. I don't care about Vision or Natasha, we love each other and that is all that matters...
- But how are we going to make this work? They can get suspicious...
- We were best friends before this ridiculous circus started, and it doesn't have to change now... We just have to be careful on how we act... - you paused for a few seconds to cup her face - Although I don't think i could ever hide this love I feel for you, it's very intense...
She smiled at your words.
- Me neither, but we'll try our best... - she looked around the little comfy cabin you were in - And also, we will always have this place for us, only you and I know about it, it will keep our secret safe.
You nodded and kissed her. It became heated every second, until she was sitting on your lap and your arms were around her waist, holding her close to your body.
- Wanda... - you said in a whisper between kisses - We need to stop, or either way I will...
- Do it - she said looking straight into your eyes, her green big eyes now full of desire - Take me Y/N, make me yours, i want you to be my first...
You looked at her, the knot on your lower stomach increasing.
- Are you sure?
She didn't respond, with her lower lip trapped between her teeth she grabbed your hand and guided your palm to her breast. You squeezed it, causing her to moan.
- God... - you whispered.
With a quick flip you turned the position, now she was laid on the bed, with you on top.
- Make love to me, darling - she said.
That night, your affair got sealed with the intertwine of your bodies.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- And this is the main room, it's spacious and comfortable for the two of us - you said to Natasha, showing your future bedroom - The right room it's for me, and the left side is yours Princess Natasha, and we have the common space room right in the middle.
Natasha nodded but frowned.
- Why do we have separate beds? I thought we were sharing the same bedroom...
You smiled shaking your head.
- Oh no, we'll have the same room but I would feel more comfortable with my own space - you said walking into your side - But feel free to redecorate the whole room, change whatever you like, even my side, just leave my closet as it is right now.
She followed you confused.
- Where are you going? - she asked - We have my parents' farewell dinner tonight, tomorrow they'll go home.
- I know, I will go play tennis with Princess Wanda and then I'll meet you at the dinner - you said, walking into your closet to change your clothes.
- Princess Wanda? Again? You went out with her last week.
- Yes, you know she's my best friend, we both play tennis every week, it's our favorite sport - you said.
Natasha nodded. She didn't understand the reason behind your distance, at first she thought it was because you didn't know her before your visit at her kingdom, but now, after spending some weeks with you and failed tries on bonding with you she was very confused.
- I'll see you later - you said, walking out from your closet and giving her a kiss on the cheek.
- Okay - she answered.
She spent the rest of the evening choosing the colors, the carpets and selecting fabrics for your new room. She was loving the result, but wishing you were there to help her out.
- Do you think Princess Y/N will like this color for her bed? - she asked her maid, showing her the color tone she had choose.
- Oh it's beautiful, she will love it - the woman answered.
Natasha smiled, really hoping you will like it.
- You've known the princess since she was a kid, right? - Romanoff asked the woman again.
- Yes, I've been working for the Royal Family since 15 years ago...
Natasha kept silent for some second before asking again.
- Do you know how close is Princess Y/N with Princess Wanda Maximoff? I know they're best friends but I'm just curious about their friendship...
- Oh they are very very close, they grew up together and used to make everything side by side... They had the same private tutors, a lot of sleepovers, they both love tennis...
Natasha nodded, not wanting to listen more, but the woman kept talking.
- Princess Y/N used to write a lot of letters for Princess Wanda, every week, and Princess Wanda wrote for her too, the letters should be somewhere in here, she keeps them very well preserved... They're very special for each other - the woman smiled at the memory.
Nat cleared her throat and left the fabrics on the bed.
- It's time for me to get ready for dinner, please take all this out of the room and bring the dress.
- Yes your royal highness - the woman said, following the instructions.
Once alone, Natasha made some deep thinking. She didn't want to create false scenarios in her head, but since she met you, you had done nothing but talk about Wanda and spend time with her.
But she didn't had the time to over think because you stepped in the room in that moment. The happiness in your face could be notice from a thousand miles away.
- Natasha? I thought you would be on your way to dinner already... - you said.
- Oh I lost track of time with the decorations and everything, my dress will be here in any minute - she answered, and you nodded - Also, I think our parents will expect to see us coming in together...
You sighed and walked into your side of the room.
- Yes, I think you're right, I'm gonna take a bath and get ready - you said.
Before you could leave she asked.
- How was tennis with Princess Wanda? I can see you're really happy.
You froze for a second but then raised your head with a small smile.
- Yes, it was really funny... It's always funny.
You started walked again but she stopped your tracks once more, making you tense immediately with her next words.
- Maybe you can teach me, I'll go with you next time.
You didn't say anything, just slightly nodded your head and walked out.
Natasha was afraid that maybe she was trying to force herself into your daily activities, she didn't want bother you in any way, or make you upset with her.
But when you meet her again in the car that night, suddenly your behavior towards her changed dramatically.
You treated her kind and lovely the whole night. For the first time she felt like she was your fiancé and not just some random stranger that came into your life.
But the fairytale broke down the moment you stepped into your house. You only said goodnight to her and leave to go to your bed.
She wondered what she could've possibly done to make you upset again.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For the next weeks you kept your distance for her like before, only talking to her when it was necessary. And she was starting to get pissed.
- I just want to know what can I do to make you feel closer to me... I've been trying for weeks to connect with you but nothing ever change. Just tell me what's wrong, so we can fix it.
You've been arguing for the last twenty minutes, you told her you'd go to play tennis and she started to yell at you.
- There's nothing to fix, because nothing is wrong Natasha... I just have a hard time to open myself with new people...
- But I'm not new people, I'm your fiancé, we're gonna get married Y/N, let's start acting like a couple for once.
You sighed. Tired.
- What do you want me to do? I just don't feel comfortable yet...
- Oh but you're not even trying, everyday you find something to get yourself busy with, and your spare time goes all in tennis and Princess Wanda... When will you have time for me?
You heart stopped. How dare she to even pronounce Wanda's name.
- Wanda has nothing to do with this - you said, almost in a whisper.
- I know, I'm not blaming her for anything, I'm blaming you...
You were about to say something when the butler knocked the door.
- Excuse me ma'am, Princess Wanda Maximoff is here for the tennis practice, she's waiting for you in the main hall.
You fixed your messy clothes and answered.
- Thanks, tell her I'll be with her in a minute.
- Yes your royal highness.
The butler left, leaving you and Natasha alone again.
- I need to go - you said, without looking at her.
- I know - she contained the tears - Just leave, I also need to go, I'm having tea with your mother later.
You nodded and walked out, with her following you some steps behind.
When you made it to the first floor your bad mood changed completely at the sight of your lover.
- Wanda, it's so nice to see you! Ready for tennis? - you asked, kissing her right hand and cheeks.
- Yes, let's go! - she replied.
When two guards followed you she quickly stopped them.
- Oh we're taking the horses, no need for security, just two best friends riding and playing... The Princess and I will be fine.
- Yes, don't worry, I'll be back in a few hours - you completed.
- Of course ma'am - your guards nodded.
Natasha saw the whole interaction, her eyes burning in jealousy. She knew Wanda was your best friend, but her instincts were screaming her something was off. She decided to ask your mother that afternoon.
--------------------------
- Oh dear lord! - Wanda screamed in pure bliss, three of your fingers buried deep inside her intimacy, you leaving small kisses all along her jaw and neck.
- Go on my lady, let me see you reach euphoria once more...
- Yeah... - she panted - Take me to heaven again Y/N, just keep doing that...
Your moans were hidden by the walls of the small cabin.
- Y/N... I'm gonna...
You felt her orgasm crash on your fingers, her wetness dripping down your hands and rolling down her thighs.
- Wanda... - you panted, taking the three fingers to your mouth - Oh God... - you moaned - You're so magical...
She smiled at you, wasting no time and kissing you as deep as she could, tasting herself in your mouth.
A few moments later you were both tangled in each other's arms, resting after your love making evening.
- Oh how I wish I could wake up every day inside your arms - she said with her head resting on your chest.
- I know, I would make love to you every morning and every night... I would take care of your sleep, watch you fall asleep into my arms, giving a goodnight kiss in the forehead...
A tear rolled down her face.
- We would be happy...
You nodded.
- Yes... So happy.
She stared at you for some seconds before speaking again.
- Are you happy? - she asked.
- What do you mean? You know I'm not - you answered, confused.
- I know, but you have a wife, Princess Natasha is beautiful... Have you bonded with her already?
You denied, shaking your head.
- Not really, I spend all my time doing my duties and my spare time I spend it with you...
She smiled sheepishly.
- Has she notice your absence?
You sighed.
- Yeah, just this morning before you came we were arguing about it... She wants me to spend more time with her...
- Same with Vision - she said - He wants me to go with him in this trip he's having next month... I don't think I'll can refuse
You blink confused.
- Does that mean I will not see you? For how long?
Your heart shredded.
- Three weeks...
- Oh...
She immediately sensed your mood change.
- But I will came back to you... Like always.
- I know... I trust you, I don't trust Vision though...
- Don't worry, no matter what happens I will always be yours.
- I'll always be yours too.
- Take this time to be with Natasha, calm her down and win her trust, it's your wife after all.
You sighed and nodded.
- I'll do whatever you ask me to... - you said kissing her hand.
She fell silent for a few moments. You turned to look at her and saw in her expression what was happening. She was thinking… processing something.
- What's wrong, my love? - you asked - What's going on in that beautiful mind of yours?
She looked into your eyes, gazing at you for a moment before speaking.
- I want you to marry Natasha during my absence… I need you to seal your commitment to her while I'm not here. If I'm not present, I won't have to attend to the wedding, and I won't have to endure the pain of seeing you marry someone else… If you don't do it within those weeks, I'll be forced to attend your wedding, and I… I don't think I can bear it, Y/N… I won't be able to.
She was right. Due to your trip to the Romanoff realm, you didn't have to be present at Wanda's sudden wedding. You didn't have to go through the pain of seeing her standing at the altar with someone else. It wouldn't be fair to her to see you with Natasha.
You nodded and kissed her forehead. Both of you were crying, and you held her hand.
- I promise I will - you said - For you, Wanda. I just want you to know that even if it's Natasha to whom I vow love and eternal devotion at the altar, my words and my heart will always belong to you and only you.
That evening, you returned home with a heavy heart. But to your misfortune, the tragedies wouldn't stop that day. As soon as you passed through the grand and elegant door adorning your entrance, you saw your father's guards waiting. That only meant he was visiting, and that couldn't be good.
- Your Royal Highness - a man bowed before you - Your Majesty, King Williams is in the main study waiting for you.
You surveyed your surroundings before responding. Everything was in overwhelming silence. You looked for your butler and inquired - Is Princess Natasha at home?
- No, Your Highness, Princess Natasha is still visiting the royal palace with the queen, your mother," he responded.
You took a deep breath - I see - you cleared your throat - I will speak with my father right away. If the princess returns home, please notify me immediately. It is of the utmost importance that I speak with her.
You turned and made your way to the study. With every step you took, you could feel your heart beating stronger. You knew what was coming. As soon as you crossed that door, your father would reproach you for not paying enough attention to Natasha. You were nervous about the reprimand, but it was somewhat reassuring to know that this time you had an answer to his accusations.
- Your Majesty - you spoke, but he didn't look at you - To what do I owe the pleasure of your visit, Father? - You walked over and took a seat across from him. It was only then that you noticed his cold gaze.
- I'm afraid my visit won't bring you any pleasure, Y/N - he said - Your wife paid a visit today to your mother; they had tea together.
- I'm aware of that, Natasha mentioned it this morning - you said, trying to sound confident.
- My question here is, where were you? - he asked.
- I played tennis with Princess Wanda most of the afternoon, and we went riding for a while. I lost track of time between the game and our conversation... - you explained but your father interrupted you.
- Natasha told us where you were… She also mentioned some more interesting things about those little escapades of yours with Princess Wanda… I didn't like what I heard at all, Y/N - he said.
- Father, Wanda and I…- you began, but he interrupted.
- Wanda and you are no more, it ended the moment she got married and you became engaged - he shouted - Don't you understand? Natasha suspects you and Wanda, she has doubts about her marriage, this is very serious, Y/N. It could trigger political problems and destabilize our marriage agreements with her kingdom. As the heir to this realm, you have a responsibility to your people and to me. I cannot allow your actions to jeopardize our political stability. It's important that you maintain a strong relationship with Natasha and avoid any suspicion about your relationship with Wanda.
- There is nothing between Wanda and me, Father… we had something in the past, as you well know, but now she is married. It hasn't been easy for me, but I believe it's time to stabilize the situation. Wanda will be going on a trip with Prince Jarvis, and today we discussed my wedding. She encouraged me to get married as soon as possible to reassure Natasha about our marriage… I want to have the wedding in two weeks - you explained.
- Is that so… - he looked at you, analyzing - Well, so be it. Let's not delay any further. As soon as I return to the palace, I will inform your mother about your decision, and we will proceed with the necessary preparations. There's no turning back from this.
- You may think you've appeased me with your sudden decision to marry, but you can't deceive me, Y/N. The matters you have with Wanda… put an end to them. I am giving you the opportunity to do it on your terms. Remember that you are the heir; you must find a way to balance your personal feelings with your responsibilities as the future queen. I don't want to take drastic measures, but if you can't control this situation, I will have to intervene… and then I assure you, you will never see Wanda again - he warned.
Your father left your home, and the next morning, the entire kingdom was aware of your wedding. Natasha was in total ecstasy. As soon as you informed her of the date, she kissed you fervently and headed to the palace to begin preparations for your wedding.
No matter how hard you tried, you couldn't muster a spark of excitement. You seemed like a walking corpse. But your father's threats echoed in your mind, and you forced yourself to be the perfect fiancée for Natasha. In front of people, you looked like the ideal couple, planning the dream wedding together. But deep inside, you were dying to leave it all behind and run into Wanda's arms.
After two weeks that felt like an eternity, the day finally arrived. You were just hours away from getting married. Natasha was getting ready at the palace with her mother, while you prepared in the privacy of your home.
In that intimate moment, you allowed yourself to write a letter to Wanda, letting your heart speak and conveying all your love and devotion for her. When you finished, you placed it in the pocket of your shirt, right over your heart, and prepared to leave. You would find a way to deliver it to her later.
The moment had come. The entire kingdom was waiting. Natasha, her parents, and your parents were all there. It seemed like the most meticulously planned event of the year, with nothing missing. But to you, everything was missing because even though you were about to get married, the love of your life was not there.
The ceremony had passed quickly. You felt like your soul had left your body, but it was your turn to speak.
- Dear Natasha...
Wanda, thousands of kilometers away, knew what was happening. Her heart ached at the thought of you becoming someone else's wife today. She only found peace in remembering your words, knowing that any promise you made to Natasha today would truly be for her.
- Today, before all the witnesses from our respective kingdoms, I make this sacred commitment. I promise to be loyal and faithful in body and spirit, and always honor the alliance we have forged, an alliance that in my heart is deeper than others may understand. On sunny days and in dark nights, I will stand by your side, fulfilling the duties entrusted to us. I promise to be your unwavering support, your confidante, and your closest friend, even when our differences challenge us. Though our paths may seem divergent, in my heart, you will always be present. May our souls find solace in this commitment, and may our union, despite the hardships, shine as a beacon of hope in this realm. May the love I have for you, though I may not openly name it, guide my actions and thoughts as we fulfill our destiny. May our marriage, though not the one we would have chosen, be a source of strength and wisdom for us both. So I promise, with all the sincerity and respect you deserve.
Natasha smiled. You both kissed. Wanda cried. You cried. You touched your chest, where Wanda's letter resided, and smiled despite the tears.
When the wedding was over and you and Natasha were back home, you couldn't make love to her. You touched her, yes. She felt loved, yes. But you didn't feel anything. Your body belonged to Wanda. You didn't let Natasha touch you. As soon as it was over, you headed to the bathroom to take a shower.
Natasha, savoring the last moments of innocence, believing that you were completely hers, took your shirt in her hands to smell your perfume once more. She loved your scent. But as she brought the garment to her nose, she felt the stiffness of paper in her hands. Curiously, she took the letter from the pocket, and in a matter of seconds, everything fell apart.
There, in her hands, was the proof of your eternal love for Wanda. A letter, written a couple of hours ago, before joining your life with hers, where you professed your eternal devotion to another woman.
My Wanda:
As I write these words, my heart is filled with a love that cannot be contained or constrained by the circumstances surrounding us. In the dark hours leading up to my forced marriage, I want you to know that my love and devotion belong to you, and you alone.
Although the world has forced us down different paths, and we are destined to marry others, I want you to know that my heart will always be yours. Our love is a fire that burns deep within me, a fire that no arranged marriage can extinguish.
Every moment we share, every stolen glance, every whispered word in secret, is a treasure in my memory that I hold dear with all my being. You are the light that brightens my life, the reason I smile amidst the darkness of our situation.
Though words cannot fully express the magnitude of what I feel for you, I want you to know that I am willing to face whatever is necessary to protect our love, even if it means sacrificing some of my own happiness. I am bound by word and paper, but my body, mind, soul, and heart will always belong to you.
No matter what the future holds for us, rest assured that you will always be my love, my confidante, and my deepest longing. Our love is a secret that only we share, a bond that no one can break.
When I stand at the altar, reciting my vows to someone I did not choose, rest assured that my heart will beat for you and only you, as I promised. I will keep our love in a special and safe place in my heart, dreaming of the future that was stolen from us, where we are together without restrictions.
With all my love and devotion, always yours.
Y/N.
There, Natasha knew it. There was no turning back. She had married someone who didn't love her. You weren't hers, and you never would be.
As soon as you emerged from the bathroom, you saw Natasha holding the letter in her hands, tears streaming down her cheeks. She knew.
- Natasha...
- You lied to me.
- No, I didn't lie to you… My father forced me… they separated us, Natasha.
- All this time, I've been a fool… and you! - she pointed at you, shouting, crying inconsolably - How could you deceive me like this?
- You don't understand, you never will. It was never my intention to hurt you, Natasha…
- You've betrayed me, Y/N… you married me while all this time you were thinking about your mistress - Natasha cried.
At that moment, you lost your temper. You would never let anyone speak of Wanda in such a way.
- Don't speak of her like that. Wanda is not to blame. Don't ever say her name again… never - you asserted.
She laughed bitterly, wiping the tears from her face - It is what it is, Y/N, nothing more than your mistress…
It was then that you shouted - Don't you understand? You are the other woman in all of this… she and I were happy, she's the love of my life. Until they forced us apart. Titles don't matter, Natasha. She will always be my priority. YOU ARE THE OTHER WOMAN.
- NO! You are married to me! She is the other woman - Natasha shouted back.
You ran your hand through your hair in desperation. You sat down on the bed with your hands on your face. Natasha was crying, standing.
- I don't love you, Natasha. My father forced me to marry you. The day I saw Wanda for the last time, she asked me to have the wedding as soon as possible. I only moved forward with the plans because she requested it. You must understand that there is no one else for me but her.
Natasha looked at you, heartbroken.
- My kingdom needs yours for its resources; our union is the largest and most important due to the size of your realm. On the other hand, you need my kingdom for our reserves, as long as you are married to me, there will be stability. This marriage benefits us all, and I need us to cooperate to provide the peace our people deserve.
You explained, and she knew it was true.
- The kingdom of Wanda is small; it didn't serve much purpose to unite us. Besides, her parents had promised her hand to Prince Jarvis since she was born. We had everything against us, Natasha. We still have everything against us - you said - I'm sorry that I can't be the partner you desire, but unfortunately, the story of my life was written long before I met you. I belong to Wanda, and Wanda belongs to me. You need me, and I need you. The union is done, but you must know that I can't love you as you desire, I never will.
By this point, Natasha was just sobbing. You got up from the bed and walked to your side of the room.
- We have breakfast with our families tomorrow. We must be at the palace at nine o'clock.
You left the room, and your body felt more relaxed. You wouldn't have to pretend anymore.
Time passed, and Wanda returned from her trip. As soon as she set foot on land, she ran to find you at the cabin. She tearfully told you that Jarvis had been with her. He wanted an heir. With desperation and desire, you claimed her body for hours.
Months later, when her son was born, Natasha and you visited the couple in their palace. Wanda smiled as she showed you the little one. He was so much like Wanda that you cried with emotion. In that small moment when you held little Tommy, and Wanda sang to him beside you, you allowed yourself to dream of what could have been. The future and happiness that were denied to you. For a brief moment, you pretended that this was your little family. And you cried. You cried for everything that was taken from you.
Natasha, who watched everything from afar, finally understood. Wanda and you loved each other and would love each other forever. She could never compete with her.
She was just another piece in the chessboard that life played. She couldn't do anything else but resign herself. In the end, no one was happy. Not her. Not you. Not Wanda. Everyone was miserable because of someone else's desires. But that's how life was, and like the others, she had to accept it.

Repeating Days.
Summary: You and Wanda keep falling into an endless cycle of lies, love and heartbreak. The worst thing is, you don't seem to mind. Based on the song: Repeating days from R5.
A/N: Heyy I'm back!! Tell me what you think, this is a little short but I really liked it! :)
Tumblr media
It's almost 6 pm and you just reached your car in the parking lot. Your day has been as stressful as the rest of your week, but luckily it's Friday, so you'll get to rest for two whole days before coming back to the office.
You start the engine of your car, but before you begin to drive, you check your phone hoping to see a notification from Wanda. However, to your dismay, there's still no response from her. She hasn't even seen your message.
"Hey, it's friday, do you want to hang out? I can come by your apartment after work and watch a movie. Or we can go out for dinner."
You read your message once again, hoping that a "typing" bubble would magically appear on the screen. You rest your head on the steering wheel for a few more seconds until you decide that you'll go to her place.
You know the way to her apartment by heart. You've been there so many times that the doorman greets you before letting you in without any restrictions or obstacles. When you reach the elevator doors, the day keeps challenging you as you read the "out of order" sign. The doorman informs you that it has been out of service all day and guides you toward the stairs. You thank him with a half-smile and start walking. Wanda lives on the fourth floor of the building, in apartment 15.
As you're about to reach her floor, you begin to doubt whether you should have brought dinner with you, or at least a bouquet of flowers. You know that Wanda loves spontaneity and thoughtful gestures.
You step out into the hallway, and as you round a corner to finally reach her apartment, you see them. And you understand why Wanda hasn't responded to your messages.
Vision is someone you still haven't managed to completely decipher. His history with Wanda is long and complex, filled with drama you never bothered to fully understand. However, you know enough about him to realize that he loves Wanda. Perhaps as much as you do. The difference is that he had his chance with her and let her go. He held her in his arms and let her slip away.
You freeze for a few seconds. He speaks while she caresses his face. Both look tense. It might sound like a moment that would break your heart, but strangely, that's a scene you've seen several times, more than you'd like.
Perhaps you don't understand the reasons why Vision let go of a woman as spectacular as Wanda, but you do understand one thing: when Vision broke up with Wanda, he knew he could come back to her whenever he needed, and Wanda would accept him with open arms, always.
It seems like hours have passed, but it's only a matter of seconds until she notices your presence. She looks at you with concern and lets go of Vision's face, causing him to turn and look at you too. They both move away slightly before she starts walking towards you.
- Y/N, this is not... You know this isn't what you think... He's just...
You say nothing and start walking again towards the stairs. You run down the four flights of stairs while you hear Wanda shouting from her floor. But you don't stop until you're back in your car. This time you don't second-guess anything and start driving back to your home.
A feeling that you unfortunately know all too well starts filling your chest. Pain, in its purest expression. Disappointment, not just in Wanda, but in yourself too. You know it's not the first time this has happened. You've fled her apartment for the same reason so many times that it feels like deja vu. But Wanda always fixes it, she's very good at talking to you. She convinces you it's nothing, and for some reason, you keep coming back again.
You arrive at the safety of your home and immediately search for the photo of Wanda that's hanging next to your bed. Your entire room is a constant reminder of her existence, so you decide that you must get rid of everything that reminds you of her. You take photo after photo and tear them apart. At least ten photos are damaged before tears blind your eyes, and you collapse onto your bed, crying.
You don't realize you've drifted into slumber until the doorbell startles you awake. If it weren't for your familiarity with this routine, the urgency of the doorbell's sound might have alarmed you. However, you're acutely aware of who stands behind that desperate sound.
You walk through the darkness of your house to the door. A sigh escapes your lips before you open it. Maybe, this time, you shouldn't let her in. But you know yourself too well, so you simply turn the knob and step back as soon as you knob and step back as soon as you allow Wanda to enter. You're tired, both physically and emotionally, so you return to your bed without even looking her in the eyes.
You tangle yourself in your blankets once again, hearing her footsteps in the kitchen before she enters your room. You're not looking at her, but you know she's looking at you, feeling her gaze piercing your back. Wanda takes off her jacket and slips into your bed. Her cold body presses against yours from behind, her arms slipping into yours, seeking your hands. You feel her leave soft kisses at the base of your neck and trailing down to your shoulders.
Only a few seconds are enough for you to know that she's crying. She starts murmuring "I'm sorry" in your ear, leaving tender kisses along the way. You know what comes next. Finally, you turn your body, and she looks directly into your eyes.
-I'm so sorry, dear. Vision showed up unexpectedly and told me he got fired from his job this morning. He's devastated and needed someone to talk to. You know he doesn't have many friends and I... couldn't ask him to leave - she explains to you in a whisper. Due to her tears, you can hardly hear her, but it doesn't matter. You know it doesn't matter because you'll find your way back to her regardless.
You embrace her as you assure her that you understand he's her friend, and that you just had a tough time. She asks if you're okay. You tell her you are, even though you're lying. She knows you're lying, but she accepts it. You couldn't stop loving her even if you tried. Not after all this time.
Both of you know you could never leave her. You ask if you can kiss her, and she agrees. Hungry to have you again.
Two weeks go by and it seems like everything is repeating itself. Except this time, Vision hasn't been fired; instead, he's been evicted from his apartment due to non-payment.
In that moment, you hate that the elevator is still out of order. Going up and down four floors in less than five minutes is exhausting. Wanda chases you again, but you escape in your car once more. This time, your heart clenches at the memory of the two of them embracing. And at that stupid smile on his face.
Wanda knocks on your door, and this time you open it immediately. You want to hear her, you need that explanation to serve as a placebo to quell the pain in your chest. She tells you about hir housing issue. You feel better. You know that explanation will serve you in the coming weeks to alleviate your pain.
You can pretend everything is okay again.
She smiles at you, and you embrace her. She kisses you, and as the kiss becomes more intense, you start to claim her body. You kiss every part of her as if your life depends on it. She surrenders to you, lost in the pleasure your hands provide her. When the euphoria subsides and both of you are naked in your bed, you look into her eyes, and without a second thought, you assert the control you believe you have over her:
- You are mine - you whisper to her.
She looks at you for a few seconds. Wanda can read you like an open book. She knows you're lying when you say she's yours. You're lying to yourself. You're lying to her. But she doesn't tell you, she would never. Especially because she knows a part of you is aware of it. Nonetheless, she nods and you kiss her again.
It's the middle of the night; she's asleep in your arms, but insomnia prevents you from falling asleep. You gaze at her and accept your fate. In that moment, you understand Vision more than you ever had before. You realize that, just like him, you could never let go of Wanda. She has you, but you don't have her. You know that both of you are entwined in a dilemma. Your days repeat with her. You live half a life with a heart hollowed out by her fault, but that doesn't matter because you know she will fill it again. It will empty, and she will fill it again. All in an endless cycle from which you know you can never escape.
You. Wanda. Vision. Everyone. We all fear loneliness. We all fear dying alone. Living alone. You could never live without Wanda. You'd rather keep living in this hopeless cycle with her than live a day without her presence. Because even though she breaks your heart every time, you know you'd do it all over again. You'd live in repetition just to have her for a few hours and pretend she belongs to you. That you both belong to each other completely.
You'd do it all over again.

A/N: It took a long time to finish, but it's finally here. Thanks to all the peole who kept asking about this part two. And sorry for the waiting. This is about 10k+ words so, enjoy!
Remember this is inspired in Jim and Pam from The Office!
--------------------------------------------------
Los Angeles was nice.
It's been a month since you started college and you could say you had blended in pretty well.
The classes were exhausting but everything else was new and exciting for you. You felt like it was your chance for a new beginning, and you definitely needed one.
After that terrible prom night you isolated yourself for two entire weeks. No social media, no calls, no messages, no visits. You only bothered to send your application letter for college.
When you finally decided to turn on your phone again you realized some of your friends tried to reach out to you. You answered every single message, letting everyone know that you were okay. But your heart broke a little when you realized that none of those messages or missed calls were from Wanda.
And that was your breaking point. You understood that you really screwed up things with her. She wasn't even concerned about your absence, if anything you thought she was relieved that you didn't tried to talk her anymore.
For the next months you avoided anything related to Wanda. Before blocking her number you sent her one last text apologizing and explaining your reasons to go zero contact with her.
You didn't expect her to answer anyway.
Although Pietro did call you to know about how you were doing, the moment he mentioned Wanda you stopped him right away.
"Please let's not talk about her, it still hurts too much". That's what you said.
He sighed but changed the subject immediately. That's when you found out he got into a foreign university in Switzerland and that he was moving out of the country.
You smiled happily and extended your congratulations to him.
Some time later you found yourself moving to Los Angeles and starting your first year of college.
Some of your friends ended up with you there, like Kate, Peter and MJ. It was awesome to have old friends with you, but meeting new people was also exciting.
You heard from a random conversation between MJ and Peter that Wanda and Vision ended up together in NYU.
Your felt your stomach flinch at the reminder of Vision stealing your college dream with Wanda. And you hated yourself for it. By that moment you should've been over Wanda, she didn't love you, there was no reason to grieve a love that never existed in the first place.
But you excused yourself to your friends and ran into the nearest bathroom to cry your heart out. You knew you shouldn't, but you couldn't help it.
After washing your face to prevent anyone to notice your were crying, you looked at yourself in the mirror. You couldn't keep going like that. You felt like you were a ghost: lifeless.
Wanda really hit different but you needed to change, to take control of your life again.
You knew what you needed to do.
You needed to move on from Wanda.
I know Pietro, she's great but, she's my best friend - Wanda said to her brother, tears dried all over her cheeks - I just never thought she would feel the same way. I didn't know what to say, I just wanted to run. Now I think it's all messed up, it's too late. There's nothing left to do. She probably hates me. But... I think I'm still in love with her.
Wanda had really screw things up with you.
She knew it.
She couldn't help it though, the moment you told her about your feelings she froze. She never expected that those words would ever came out from your mouth.
You loved her.
You really loved her.
How did she never notice it before?
And why did you never say anything?
She had so many questions running trough her mind.
It was prom night, she was about to leave with Vision, she wanted to stay a little longer but they were already late, you were there with Kate, she didn't even know you liked Kate, did you really like her? Why did you never mentioned it to her before? Why was she so mad when she found out?. You loved her. You loved her.
You loved her.
Maybe it was a joke.
She looked at you expecting for you to laugh and tell her it was all a joke.
But you didn't.
- Y/N... Why are you doing this? You know I... I can't, he's there and...
Vision and his parents were waiting for her. She just started walking as you kept apologizing. She felt numb through the rest of the night.
Her boyfriend and his family did the most of the talking during the dinner.
She couldn't focus on anything that wasn't you. She had just left you. Alone. You had poured you heart out for her and she left.
You probably were devastated.
But what was she supposed to do?
She really was clueless. Everything happened so fast. And for some reason she felt like she needed to stand up for Vision. But she probably got too defensive.
Oh god it was really a mess.
He was always right.
They used to have recurrent fights or disscusions because Vision felt like you liked Wanda more than just as a friend. But she always defend you from the accusations saying you were her best friend, nothing more. Maybe she tried so hard because she wanted to convince herself too.
That night she came home exhausted. She felt her body drained from any energy or motivation.
Her brother was still awake and when he heard she was back he walked to her room to ask about how her night went.
She tried to put on a brave face but the moment Pietro flashed her a warm smile she broke down in his arms crying.
She vent to her brother all night long, letting him know everything that had happened at prom with you.
He didn't seem too surprised when she mentioned your love for her. Instead he only hugged her harder.
Pietro had been there for his sister since forever, their twin bond was something sacred for them, they were each other's best friends and obviously, each other's best confident.
He could still remember when a little 10 year old Wanda confessed to him that she wanted to kiss you. Some kids at her school had have their first kiss at recess that day and Wanda wanted to have her first kiss. With you.
That conversation followed so many others about her little, pure and innocent attraction towards you.
As she grew older those confessions ceased but Pietro remained as the front row witness of your undeniable love for each other.
- What am I supposed to do Pietro? I'm just really confused.
The white-haired boy smiled kindly at her.
- What do you feel like doing? Wanda we both know very well that you used to have feelings for Y/N, let's not fool ourselves.
Her brother was right, Wanda was well aware of her old feelings for you. Although she had worked so hard to buried them in the deepest place of her heart and mind, she could still remember how it was.
Who could blame her? She thought that forget those feelings was the best decision in order to protect your friendship. She never expected that some day you would feel the same way.
But there she was. Crying in her prom dress, secured in the safety of her brother's embrace, regretting every single second of that night.
- I truly don't know what to do Pietro... I feel like such an idiot and a bad friend.
- No Wanda, you're a human, there isn't a correct way to react to this kind of situation, you act out of impulse and natural reaction, there's nothing wrong with that.
- But I feel so bad... Y/N didn't deserve that... What do I do Pietro? Tell me...
- No sestra - her brother told her with a soft voice - I know, guilt it's a tricky feeling, but you need to figure out how to solve this problem, you can take your time and think about it but in the end it's gonna be up to you... Not me, Vision or Y/N... It's your decision Wanda.
Pietro gently kissed her sister's forehead and walked back to his room.
Wanda barely slept that night, too busy thinking in every possibility.
The next morning she received a text from Vision asking how she was doing and letting her know that he was gonna post a picture of the both of them from last night. She quickly understood the not so discrete hint and also posted a picture. She didn't feel like writing any caption so she just limited herself to type a red heart emoji.
The days passed and she used any possible excuse to avoid seeing Vision. She felt so bad for him too, he was oblivious of the situation, it wasn't fair for him either that his girlfriend was having doubts about her love for him and their relationship. It wasn't fair for him that all Wanda could think about was you.
A week later she got a text message from you. The first text you had send her since prom.
She doubt about opening it or not. What if it was a letter telling her how much you hated her now, asking her to never come close to you again, that your friendship was over and from that moment on Wanda had no place in your life.
After twenty minutes of debating with herself she opened the text.
It wasn't what she expected.
The text was long, as she expected, but there wasn't any hate on it. It made her cry, the way you expressed yourself and the way you perfectly described your feelings. She felt terrible when you apologized for making her feel uncomfortable. You could never.
She would never let anyone know the content of the letter, it was something she decided to keep for herself. A secret between you and her for only your hearts to know, hence she never mentioned your text to anyone. Not even Pietro. The letter becoming the first secret between the Maximoff twins.
Wanda's life froze for days, she didn't isolate herself like you, she just felt dead-walking everywhere she went. She was physically there but her mind was somewhere else. She was thinking about you.
But your text was clear. You needed time and space away from her. It hurt like hell but she respected you decision. Even when she wasn't sure if she wanted for you to forget her.
She got accepted into NYU, just like Vision. Her family threw a party for her and for the very first time in years you weren't present in one of her celebrations. Not that Irina Maximoff didn't call you, but mostly because you politely declined her invitation making up some lame excuse, thanking her though.
Some time later she was packing her entire life in a set of gray suitcases, ready to take a flight to New York and start her new life at college with her boyfriend by her side. It sounded like a dream if you hear it that way.
But for Wanda everything was like a nightmare. NYU was her college dream just because she always thought you would be with her. She wasn't even sure of the path she was following, she didn't know if she really wanted to study there anymore.
Her relationship with Vision was fragile. Since prom night Wanda drastically changed her affection towards him. She didn't kiss him anymore, they only had been in a few two or three dates after and the PDA was completely gone.
Vision wasn't a stupid guy. He noticed this changes since the very first day, but decided to keep silence. For some reason he thought that Wanda would come around again once they were in college together.
But during the first weeks in NYU everything went downhill. They both had classes all day and different schedules, so they didn't had too much time left to spent together besides the weekends. But even those days Wanda always had an excuse to avoid any plan: homework, an exam to study for, books she had to read, etc.
Vision grew tired of it by the end of the fifth week, after Wanda had canceled him for the third time in a row. Not caring about the fact that the girl told him she needed to finish a report for one of her classes he walked straight to her dorm and knocked on her door.
- What are you doing here? Vision I told you...
- I know, I know what you said, but I'm tired of it - he interrupted her - Weeks Wanda, it's been weeks since the last time we had a date, weeks since the last time we spent time together, I don't know what's happening but I demand an explanation now...
Wanda stared at him.
- I don't know what are you talking about Vis, I have so many things to do and...
- No! - he interrupted again - This isn't something that started just now. I felt it since a long time ago - he paused for a few seconds, stepping in completely in the room closing the door for privacy -  Something happened at prom night, something changed that night... I don't know what it is but... Just tell me what is happening to us...
Wanda, who was now sat at the edge of her bed looked at him with teary eyes. She knew this had to happen at some point.
- I'm just tired Vision, I'm exhausted... - she said with trembling voice and some tears already falling on her cheeks - I'm going through so many changes in my life right now, I had this huge fight with my best friend and now we're not even talking anymore... Now I'm here in New York and I'm not even happy about it, I don't like the way my life is going right now... I'm not sure if NYU is what I really want and I'm questioning every decision I've made since the moment I decided to leave my prom party to go with you and your parents for dinner...
Vision didn't know what to respond to that. When he walked to her dorm that night he wasn't expecting this outcome.
- You wanted to stay? - he asked cautiously.
Wanda nodded.
- Why didn't you say anything then? We could've done something...
- I just thought that if told you I would've dissapoint you and your family. You are my boyfriend Vision, sometimes you have to make sacrifices for the relationship... And at some point I felt like I needed to make you happy...
- But were you happy? In our relationship?
- In the beginning, yes, I was delighted with the idea of us, of you... You made me really happy Vision... But then we started having all this problems and I always felt like a was giving too much without getting anything back.
- And why did you never say anything? - he said exasperated.
Vision wasn't one of those boys who are bad boyfriends and are aware of it. He truly didn't saw any of this coming.
He listened to Wanda attentive, letting her express every single thing she had to say. And as the girl talked he realized how trash of a boyfriend he was. He was respectful and never treated her bad, but he took Wanda for granted, not being the same boyfriend she fell for at the beginning. He understood the girl's disappointment on him, and as much as he wanted there was no way to turn back time.
After forthy minutes of talking, he stood for up from his seat in her bed, hugged her one last time and started walking out of the room.
- I'm sorry I wasn't a better boyfriend, you deserve so much better, I'm sorry this didn't work out - those were his last words for her before closing the door.
Wanda remained in her place for some seconds before start crying. She called her brother, although she knew it was probably and odd time in Switzerland she didn't know what else to do or who else to call for comfort. Vision was her boyfriend after all, they had been together for almost three years and it was impossible for her not to feel a hole in her heart. That night she cried her heart out, and did not attend her classes the next day, too energy drained to take a step out of her room.
Eventually she got better. After three weeks she bounce back from the break up. Although she still had a lot of issues to deal with, she felt relieved. For some reason it felt like someone had taken away some of the weight on her shoulders. She felt lighter.
Los Angeles
You were doing a lot better. Two months after your last break down you were happier than in the earliest months of college.
You decided to focus your attention on anything else but Wanda. You started to study a lot harder, focusing more on your notes and classes, and also got yourself into a hobbie: tennis.
Kate was in the tennis team since the beginning of the year, and when you told her you were looking for extra curricular classes she suggested her club.
You used to occasionally visit her during her trainings, you already knew the coaches and the rest of the team, so you figured it wouldn't be so hard to fit in.
The coaches were happy to welcome you and a few days later after filling your proper application you were officially in. The only condition was to do some extra training for some weeks until you could keep up with the pace of some of the other new girls. You promised to train after hours until you were as good as them.
That's how you met Sharon Carter.
The first day you stayed after hours to train you noticed immediately a blond, beautiful girl who arrived at the practice court about ten minutes after the other girls left.
You didn't recognized her, she wasn't part of the team, or anyone you've seen before.
She was also surprised to see anyone staying later in the tennis court after the usual practice.
- Oh hey, hi - you said approaching to her with a kind smile.
- Hello, uhmm I'm Sharon, Sharon Carter...
- I'm Y/N, Y/N Y/LN, a pleasure... Are you new here?
She laughed a little, denying with her head.
- No, I don't study here, I'm coach Peggy's niece, she allows me to use the court sometimes after her team's practice.
- Ohh, well it's a pleasure... I'm new in the team and I need to practice more hours to keep up with the rest... So I guess you'll see me around here more often
She smiled kindly.
- That's great, it will be good to have some company.
You smiled kindly and nodded.
A month after your first encounter Sharon became one of closest friends. You two had so much in common, you liked the same kind of music and most of your favorite sitcoms were also her favorites, so naturally you spent a lot of time together, getting to know each other deeper.
She told you about her sabbatical year and how she was still thinking about what college she would go to.
Eventually you became a better tennis player, but even when the coaches told you there was no need for you keep staying after hours, you kept doing it to spend time with her. And she would visit your dorm on a daily bases after classes
When Peter, MJ and Kate got to know her they didn't hesitate to start to tease you, referring to Sharon from that moment on, as your girlfriend. You just smiled shyly denying whth your head. Of course, Sharon was beautiful, but you couldn't say you were something more than just good friends.
You wouldn't even thought of that possibility until some weeks later when she suddenly asked you out. It wasn't that explicit, but the invitation was kind of obvious.
- Do you want to do something tomorrow? Like go to see a movie or have dinner? - she asked you nervously one afternoon while you were doing homework at your dorm.
- Sure - you answered without thinking too much - Where do you wanna go?
She paused for a second and you looked at her intrigued.
- Sharon?
She looked back at you smiling shyly.
- Well, I was thinking on going to have dinner at a nice restaurant, you know I have a reservation and everything...
- Oh - you said surprised but smiling too - Like a date?
She nodded nervously.
- Yes... Like a date... Would you like to go in a date with me?
Long story short, that date was the first out of so many others that followed it right after. You had a great time with her, and the affection felt almost natural between you.
Sharon never mentioned and label for the two of you, she would only say you were dating. She probably didn't want to push you, and you were thankful for it.
But she did used to hold your hand, kiss you, take you out, wait for you after classes and open all the doors for you. And you of course, reciprocated every kind action to her. You two were basically a couple without the label.
The first vacation came sooner than you thought and you found yourself saying goodbye to Sharon with your luggage ready on your cab to take you to the airport.
- You know, you can visit me anytime - you said kissing her on the lips - If you need anything just call me okay?
She nodded and promised to visit you during your break, she would stay in Los Angeles for a while.
You knew it was a weird situation for you. Sharon was beautiful, kind, funny and you could definitely say you had feelings for her.
But deep down you knew Wanda was going to be back in town too, and you were well aware of the possibilities of you two finding each other at some places. It was impossible not to considering it was a three month break from college.
You felt you were doing a good job keeping her away from your mind. But you didn't know how it would affect your progress seeing her again. You weren't sure if she would speak to you, or if she would just pretend you didn't exist.
----------------
Being back at home was good. You had missed your parents more than you would admit, and you definitely missed your mom's meals, finally getting to eat homemade food for the first time in months.
Your first week back was calm. You stayed at home most of the time hanging wi your parents and called Shaeron every night before going to bed.
It was the very first day of your second week when everything took a turn. You were talking with your mom about college and your classes when she mentioned Wanda.
- She left college after her first three months, she's been home since then and looking for a new option.
You were surprised to hear the news. NYU was Wanda's dream since forever, and you couldn't understand why she would drop it.
- She didn't tell you? - your mom asked at your astonishment.
She never heard the story of why you and Wanda stopped talking. In fact, she didn't even know you two weren't friends anymore.
- No, we've been distant since prom, we had a fight and we just... We're not friends.
- Oh I'm sorry honey, but maybe you can talk it out with her and fix things up, you two have been best friends for so long... Don't let this ruin all those years of friendship...
You smiled sadly nodding your head, not wanting to keep discussing about it.
On wednesday you, Kate, MJ and Peter went to the theater to watch the new terror movie. They mentioned some of your old high school friends were tagging along but you never expected to see Wanda. Ever since she dated Vision she stopped going out with your group of friends.
But she was there. It felt like slow motion for you. You were already inside the the theater when she stepped in. She looked at you shyly while greeting all of your other friends, never breaking eye contact with you.
When she was in front of you she hugged you tightly.
- Hi Y/N
You reciprocated the affection dumbly.
- Hi Wanda
- How are you doing? - she asked.
- I'm good - you answered shortly, awkwardly smiling - How are you doing?... My mom told me about NYU... I'm sorry it didn't work out.
She sighed.
- Yeah well, I'm better now, I realized it wasn't what I needed or wanted and I just dropped it...
You nodded.
- I hope you find something soon, you're brilliant, any school will be lucky to have you.
She smiled.
-Thank you Y/N...
Peter said the movie was about to start and you two followed him inside.
Wanda sat two spots from you, Kate and MJ in the middle and Peter on your other side. Some of your other friends sat next to Peter.
The rest of the group probably didn't notice it, but there was a certain tension between you and Wanda through the whole movie.
She was nervous.
From the moment Kate told her you were gonna be there she imagined a thousand of different scenarios of how it would be like.
Just like you, she wasn't sure if you would speak to her. After your last message to her she didn't have any contact with you. Not even when she wanted to tell you about her situation with college.
She knew she hurt in the past, but she missed your friendship more than anything. Even though she had deeper feelings for you, she would be happy if you wanted to be her friend again.
You, on the other hand, were really confused about how you felt. You thought that you would feel anger the moment you saw her, but you just felt awkward around her. Even after she broke your heart in a thousand pieces you didn't feel mad. Maybe those months of healing really made progress in you.
When the movie finished everybody said goodbye and walked to their respective car. When you were about to leave you saw Wanda texting on her phone and walking to sit on a bench.
You wanted to just ignored her and go back home but you just couldn't. So, against any common sense you walked straight to her.
- Hey, are you going home now?
She looked at you a bit confused.
- Yeah, well I'm texting Pietro to see if he's on his way, he told me he would pick me up...
You nodded.
- Oh sure, I forgot Pietro was home too... How is he doing? - you asked.
- He's fine, he told me he's doing great at college and at the athlete team... Ohh and that he met a girl, I think her name is Monica... They've been dating for a while now..
You smiled.
- Wow, I would never imagined Pietro finally settling down... That's fantastic.
- I know, he's really happy.
There was a moment of silence interrupted by a ding on her phone.
- Dang it... - she said after reading the text.
- What's wrong?
- Pietro forgot to pick me up... He's leaving the house just now....
You looked at her texting. You knew you would probably regret your next comment but you couldn't just leave her there at a parking lot.
- Tell him not to worry, I'll take you home - you said.
She looked at you surprised.
- Really?
You smiled kindly.
- Yeah, just like the old times, let me drive you home Wanda.
She accepted and the two of you walked to your car.
You turned the music on and drove to her house. But even with the noise from the radio, it felt like there was a dead silence in the car.
After the first three minutes she finally got the courage to speak.
- So, are you doing well? How is it like living in Los Angeles?
- It's been great so far, college has been fun and I really like the city, it's amazing.
- That's great to hear Y/N, I'm really happy for you.
- Thanks.
Another moment of silence. You decided to be the one to speak this time.
- I know I said this before but I'm sorry about NYU, it must have been really difficult to take a decision like that...
Wanda sighed nodding.
- Yes, it was, but at the same time it was easy for me to understand that it wasn't something I liked, it just never felt right... The hardest part was telling my parents... That was scary.
- Yeah, I can imagine... But your parents love you, I bet they understood...
- Yes they did, although they asked me like a million times if I was sure... They even made me doubt sometimes...
You both laughed.
- Oh missed this - she said smiling.
Your laugh died and you swallowed nervously.
- What? - you asked.
She looked at you.
- Us. I miss you Y/N, so much... I miss our friendship.
You weren't expecting that answer. You didn't know what to say, although it was obvious you had miss those moments too. And it only made you feel guilty.
- Wanda... I'm sorry I ruined everything for us... I shouldn't have tell you anything that night...
You didn't look back at her, but she did look at you.
- Y/N, you didn't ruin anything... That night it was me the one that screwed up.
- No - you answered - You had a boyfriend and I was your best friend, I wasn't supposed to feel anything other than a friendship... And even if I did I should never tell you just because you were happy with Vision... I should've respected that.
Another silence.
- Can we please drive somewhere else to talk? - she asked.
-To talk? - you asked unsure of what it meant.
- Yes, I feel we need to sort this out, I really miss you Y/N... I wanna try to restore our old friendship... If you want it too, of course.
You thought about it before answering. After some seconds you changed the car direction.
- Yeah, let's talk.
You drove to a nearly park. It was getting kind of late and the place it was almost empty, just a few people walking by. Wanda found a bench for the two of you.
- I don't know what to say - you admitted nervously.
She looked at you.
- Well, first of all, I want you to know that you didn't ruin anything... I understand the reasons why you choose to cut contact with me, if anything I was the one to ruin our friendship, the way I reacted wasn't the best... I'm sorry for making you feel bad.
- Wanda...
- Let me finish - she interrupted you - I know you feel bad because you said you love me, but I want you to understand that I could have had a better reaction... Leave you alone in the hallway was the worst thing I've done.
- It's fine Wanda, you were respecting your relationship and Vision...
- I just wanted to say sorry Y/N, i wish I would had a better reaction.
You nodded.
- I appreciate your apology, but don't worry about it anymore ... I already forgive everything.
- You did? - she asked curious.
- Yes, I realized you were shocked with my confession... There was no way you would've react differently...
- Maybe it was... But there's no way to turn back time right? At least I finally got it out of my system, I wanted to apologize a long time ago.
You smiled kindly. The two of you stared at the sky in silence.
- Your text, the letter you sent me... I think I understood better after reading it... - Wanda said - Thanks for saying all of the nice stuff about me, you really are a goof friend...
- All I said was true Wanda, we've been best friends for so long I couldn't get myself to hate you.. I mean I probably felt like hating you back then, but that was probably more sadness than hate... But all the things I wrote were completely true.
She smiled and hugged you. The affection surprised you, but you just smiled and reciprocated the hug.
- So it's all good between us? - you asked - I want my best friend back.
- Yes! - she answered excited - Yes, everything is fine.
You smiled at her.
- I'm glad.
She was bouncing her feet happily.
- Now tell everything about UCLA, how you've been doing there?
You told her everything about college, your classes, your friends, about your tennis games and everything than ran through your mind in that moment.
You mentioned Sharon briefly, not paying too much attention to the details of your relationship with her.
And the she dropped the bomb: she told you she broke up with Vision.
She explained to you her reasons to end up the relationship and you did nothing but listen.
And when she cried, telling you about her breakdown in college and the moment she decided to leave, you hold her. For a moment it truly felt like you went back in time.
You drove Wanda to her home, and she told you she would call you to make plans for the rest of the summer.
Pietro said hi from his window and you smiled at the sight of your friend.
On the way back home you smiled to yourself. You had a warm feeling on your chest and felt butterflies in your stomach.
Everything was perfect for some days. You and Wanda spent more time together, you even helped her send her application letter to different universities, including UCLA. She wasn't sure at first, but you talked wonders about the college and about how amazing it would be to have her at campus until she finally accepted. It was only a matter of time to hear back from the universities.
But the following week you noticed Peter and Kate get suspicious and secretive around you. At the beginning you thought it was a little bit odd, but then they started to laugh everytime you walked into a room.
It got to a point where the situation became unbearable.
- Okay what is happening? - you finally asked them one day before getting into the movies.
Kate looked at you nervously.
- What....What do you mean? Nothing is happening...
You looked at Peter.
- You will tell me what is happening Peter Parker... Everytime I walk into a room you two laugh and  you've been too secretive lately.
They looked at each other.
- Let's tell her Peter, she will have too know anyways - Kate said.
- Tell me what? - you asked confused - I'm not mad or anything I just want to know...
Peter sighed.
- We planned a surprise with Sharon... She's coming to visit in three days.
It ttok you a second to react, and when your brain finally understood what they just said you couldn't help but smile.
- Really? She's coming?
- Yes - Kate answered happily.
- Why didn't you tell me before? I could have help her... Does she have a flight yet? Or do you want me to...
Peter interrupted you, giggling at your excitement.
- Hey Y/N, don't worry, everything is fine and ready, she'll be here in three days, her flight lands on Saturday at noon...
You smiled again and thank them both for their help.
Wanda arrived later that afternoon. Neither of you mentioned Sharon through the whole movie, it was just when you were driving Wanda home when she noticed you were happier than other days. Peter and Kate were in the car with you too cause you asked them to go to house to arrange everything for Saturday.
- You look pretty happy today Y/N - she told you.
- Well, I feel really happy Wanda - you answered with a smile.
- Can I know why? - she asked happily too.
That's the moment it dawned to you. You never told Wanda about your relationship with Sharon. And as you were thinking of this realization, Peter was faster than you to answer to her.
- She's happy because her girlfriend is coming to visit her on Saturday - he explained.
- What?! Your girlfriend?! - she asked confused.
Wanda was shocked to say the least. You never mentioned a girlfriend on the days before, and the news hit her like a bucket of ice water. She didn't know how to feel about it.
You two were recently fixing your friendship. She didn't know if you were still having feelings for her cause she never asked you in order to not jeopardize what you had. But a girlfriend was a factor she didn't consider.
- Yes! Her name is Sharon, we've been planning this surprise for days - Kate explained.
That's when you interfiered.
- She's not my girlfriend - you said nervously looking through the mirror to see your friends - Sharon is my friend, I think I mentioned her before...
Wanda tried to remember and she slightly nodded. She remembered that name.
- So... she's not your girlfriend? - Wanda asked.
You looked at her unsure of what to say.
- Well... It's complicated, we've been dating for a few months now, but we haven't... You know... Make it official
She nodded again as she swallowed dry.
- Maybe it's time Y/N - Kate interrupted - You could ask her now that she's coming... We can help you!
Peter second Kate on the idea and they started rambling about it.
But you noticed a change in Wanda's behavior. She wasn't laughing anymore. Suddenly she got quiet.
You bumped her shoulder to caught her attention.
- Hey, I'm sorry I didn't tell you about my relationship with Sharon, and it's not because I didn't want to... I just forget about it to be honest, and as I said, Sharon and I... We're not officially together yet, we're just... - before you could finish your sentence she interrupted.
- Hey Y/N, it's fine, don't freak out about it... It's just it took me by surprise, but I'm happy to see you happy...
She gave you a reassuring little smile.
- Thanks for understand Wanda... It's been difficult for me to open myself to this feelings... I think it's the first time I I say I'm dating Sharon out loud.
_ I get it, it can be complicated, but don't worry Y/N, if you and Sharon are comfortable with what you have, you don't need to rush it.
You smiled and her.
_ Thank you - you said.
It looked like the conversation about Sharon died right there, but the moment Wanda stepped in her house, she walked straight to her brother's room.
- I just don't know how to feel Pietro... I'm really confuse. I know it might sound selfish to say but I can't believe she didn't tell me before about this girl.... Everything would have been different
- What would've been different? - he asked
- Well, you know, the approach with her... You know I like her Pietro, since we were little, and now that i broke up with Vision... I thought she was single... You know what I mean.
Pietro analyzed her sister's expression.
- You were expecting to date her?
She sighed.
- Well, not straighly date her but... I was expecting some sort of awakening for us... The start of something more.
Pietro looked at her worried.
- Wanda, don't joke around this... You know she loved you, but now with this new information maybe it would be better if you move cautiously... I wouldn't want for you to get hurt.
Wanda buried her head in her hands desesperatly.
- I truly believed this would be our chance... We could be something more...
- You can daydream all you want Wanda, but the truth is, she has a girlfriend now and you have to accept it. And let me be honest with you, I don't think it was correct from you to go close to her with those ulterior motives, if you wanted to date her you should have told her before offer a friendship.
- No, I truly want  to fix up our friendship, it is the most important thing for me to save. I just thought it would be nice if something else happened...
Pietro sighed.
- Well, I wish you good luck sestra, when this Sharon girl arrives  you're gonna need to find the strength to see her fooling around with Y/N, and I can tell you, it's not gonna be nice...
Wanda barely slept that night. She imaged how would it be with Sharon around. And she thought that it was probably what you felt when she started dating Vision, you had to see her with another person, basically being replaced.
Ohh, only if she knew back then about your feelings. For sure everything would be different.
And she wasn't wrong.
From the moment you picked up Sharon at the airport you two became inseparable, although she was stying at Kate's house cause she basically lived in the Bishop's mansion, so there was more than enough room for her.
Wanda told you to enjoy the first days with her alone. She said you could show her the town and explore the place together, she would tag along later.
You thought it was a good idea. But you also noticed a changed in Wanda's behavior since Peter and Kate mentioned Sharon was your girlfriend. You didn't want to speculate around her feelings, but you couldn't help but ask if she was feeling left out, or replaced. You two were recently getting close again and you didn't want anything to jinx the progress.
But no, Wanda said she wanted to be your friend again. Nothing more.
Sharon was being a delight, as always. Being with her was easy, you never had to think too much about it. And that was probably what you liked more. But now, with her in town you felt tlike something was missing. Sharon made you happy, and she was a good company, but something felt odd at the thought of being more than just... that.
However, you took her to all the fun and interesting places around, telling her a little about the local stories. Peter and Kate sometimes would go with you, but they left you alone as much as possible, totally rooting for you two.
It was on her fifth day there when you planned to visit the amusement park with Sharon, Kate, Peter, Wanda and some other friends.
Wanda was a nervous wreck to say the least. She was wondering how this new dynamic would be. She knew you would spend more time with your girlfriend, she knew you would kiss her and hols her hand and make her laugh. So she prepared herself to control any sort of jealousy reaction she could have.
But the reality hit her as soon as you parked in front of her house to pick her up. She naturally walked to the copilot seat, only to find a blonde girl already sitting there.
- Hey Wanda, this is Sharon Carter, my friend from college. Sharon this Wanda, my best friend - you made the introductions, and the two girls smiled, saying how pleasure was to meet each other.
- I guess you're having a backseat today Maximoff - Kate said, opening the door for her.
- Yeah, I guess today I will be third-wheeling you and Peter back there - Wanda replied, laughing at the guy's reaction.
You laughed at the joke too. Luckily for her you didn't noticed that the  passive aggressive answer to Kate was because she felt uncomfortable with the situation.
The rest of the days didn't turn easier for her. You would spent most of your time with Sharon, making silly jokes and fooling around.
Wanda undoubtedly felt jealous. She couldn't help it. And she hated herself for making you feel the same way when she was with Vision.
At some point she just stopped showing up for your get-togethers. She knew she was being selfish, but seeing you with Sharon was driving her mad. Everytime she tried to spend time with you, Sharon had to be there.
But her breaking point reached her on Kate's birthday party. In the middle of the reunion, Sharon's parents called her and she walked up stairs to attend the call.
Wanda found you sitting alone in the sofa and she decided to go talk to you. She was finally having your attention all to herself, you were telling her some dumb joke about ballons, a little bit flushed because of the drinks you had that night, your hair alredy a mess after dancing... She thought you looked beautiful. She tucked a hair behind your ear and you smiled sweetly at her...
It was a very cute moment, just you two talking, so close from each other. Until a pair of arms suround you from behind, you looked up from your seat on the couch and smiled at Sharon.
- Hey! Did you finished the call with your parents? - you asked her.
- Yeah... They just wanted to know about my week but a cut the call soon to be back... Did i miss anything? - she asked, looking at Wanda and you.
- No, i was just telling some jokes, and Wanda was the lucky one to hear them - you said.
Sharon hugged you tighly and Wanda wanted nothing more but dissapear.
- Oh well, i hope Wanda doesn't mind but i need to steal you for a second... there is something i wanna tell you.
Wanda denied with her head.
- Oh no, it´s alright, i was about to leave anyways... Pietro is in his way to take me home so... I should be getting ready.
You said goodbye to Wanda and followed Sharon out to the garden. Wanda remained in place, looking at your hands intertwined with Sharon as you walked out. She left the house as soon as you were out of her sight.
Sharon Carter was a very intelligent girl. Her aunt Peggy taught her to be perceptive, to pay attention to the little details, so it was no surprise to know that she almost immediately noticed the tension between you and Wanda.
She wasn't aware of the full story, she only knew that you and Wanda had a fight before leaving for the university, but it was fixed almost immediately as soon as you had the opportunity to talk about it.
But she had a feeling that there was something more than just "friendship" problems. And that feeling sting her harder the moment she saw you and Wanda talking on the couch. She was too close to your face, and the smile you were giving to her... She needed to do something.
That is the reason why, that night, she asked you to be her girlfriend. You were a bit tipsy, and the euphoria of the moment made you say yes to her right away.
It was just the next morning, when you woke up a little hangover when you realized what had happened last night. You wanted to feel happy, but something just didn't feel right.
Sharon was a great a person, and you knew she would be an amazing girlfriend but now that you were official, something felt off to you.
Perhaps it was because it took you so long to be an actual couple. However, you couldn't just go and tell her you weren't sure about being her girlfriend. You felt some sort of responsibility towards her, like you needed to respond to her feelings. You couldn't just ask her to go back to just date again.
So you got use to the idea of being girlfriends. It couldn't be that bad. At the end, you liked her, she liked you. It could actually work.
Wanda found out about your, now official, relationship a few days later. She noticed how Sharon started to use pet names with you "Babe this... Babe that". She also started to be more affectioned towards you, increasing the PDA at a hundred percent.
She cried once you confirmed it to her. Not in front of you, of course, but at the safety of her room.
She knew she didn't have any right to feel that way, but she couldn't help it. She wish it was easier to let you go.
You still tried to make time for her though, not wanting to jeopardize your just restored friendship. But Sharon always wanted to tag along in your plans. One day Wanda just stopped going out with you, avoiding any uncomfortable moment between your girlfriend and her.
You noticed this change in her behaviour, and when you expressed this concerns with Sharon, she just brush it off saying: Well, perhaps it's for the best, that way we can make more plans for the both of us.
You were confused at her answer, but you just let it go. You'll make plans with Wanda later to talk to her alone. Sharon, in the other hand, made her goal to keep you as away from Wanda as possible.
In the latest days of summer your friends planned a weekend getaway to go camping. Wanda didn't want to go, but everyone told her it would be fun. She turned down every invitation until you were the one to ask her to go. When you knocked on her door that night she didn't find the strength to say no to you. It would be just one night though.
So, there she was, walking next to Kate and Peter looking for a good place to establish the camp. You were walking some steps ahead of them with Sharon by your side, and Wanda was already regretting going.
You had planned spend time with her during the camp. That's why, the moment you found the right place, you asked Wanda to help you set up the tents, meanwhile, Kate asked Sharon to help her take out from the cars all the food they brought.
Sharon walked away, not without giving you a last glance. All she saw was Wanda smiling at you while you read the instructions for the tent.
At night, Sharon asked to talk to you in private. You had spend all the day bounding with Wanda, laughing and making jokes, and you could tell Sharon wasn't happy at all.
- I just don't understand why are you so determined on spending time with her... I'm your gilfriend and i'm here, you should be spending more time with me - she said.
- Sharon, i'm sorry if you felt left out, but Wanda is my best friend... we've been distant lately and i wanted to spend more time with her before the summer ends.. you and me, we alredy spent a lot of time together...
She sighed.
- I know baby, but she needs to understand you have a girlfriend now, that she is not your main priority anymore... Now, please, let's just go to eat some smores and have a fun night.
You just nodded and she kissed you.
You were mad at her. For some reason. Deep down in you, a tiny voice was trying to scream. And that voice was saying that Wanda would always be your main priority.
Later at night, when you found yourself unable to sleep, you sneaked out of the tent you shared with Sharon. You were surprise to find Wanda sitting next to the campfire.
- Hey... Can't sleep? - you asked to caught her attention.
She turned to look at you.
- Yeah, something like that... Kate snores - she said smiling.
- Ohh really? - you laughed - That's quite funny... So you can't sleep because of her snores?
She nodded.
- Yep, i'm kind of a light sleeper, any sound can keep me awake all night.
- Well, then i'll be glad to stay awake all night with you - you said taking a seat next to her.
- Are you sure you want to do that? - she asked- I kind of noticed that Sharon...
You interrumpted her.
- I know, but i don't care. Wanda you're my best friend, if i wanna spend time with you i will spend time with you... I'll deal with Sharon later.
Wanda felt nostalgic at your words.
- What's wrong? - you asked.
She looked at you.
- It's just that... your a better friend than i am. You have a girlfriend and still try to make time for me... i never did that back when i was with Vision.
You smiled at her words.
- Wanda... we are kind of adults now, if i kept acting like when i was in high school i would have a problem. I'm more mature now, i guess i can have a girlfriend and a best friend. You were younger and he was your first boyfriend, i now understand why you acted like that.
- This is what i'm talking about, you're a better person than me Y/N, i don't deserve you.
- Hey don't say that. You are one of the best persons i know Wanda, you can't keep punishing yourself for things you did when you were 16. Like i said the other day at the park, i forgive you, i did it a long time ago.
She looked at the sky.
- I just wish things were different. If only i could turn back time... - she said desperate.
- Wanda please stop, let's just enjoy this moment, okay?
You offered her a hug that she replied immediately. Then you just chill under the stars.
- I got into UCLA - she said out of nowhere after some minutes.
- What? - you asked excited - Are you serious?
She nodded her head smiling.
- Yes, the letter came in this morning... I got in.
- Wanda that is amazing... we will be together in college, like we always dreamed about!
You kept celebrating her for some more minutes and then you just went on talking about the campus and the city.
Wanda watched you in awe, how your eyes sparkled when you talked, the way you smiled and expressed. And she fell deeper for you. When she heard you talk about your future plans with her she couldn't help but daydream about a life by your side.
She daydreamed about living with you, being your girlfriend, marrying you, having kids with you... God, she wanted you bad.
That's why, immersed in the euphoria of the moment, the next words came out of her mouth.
- I love you so much...
And your whole world stopped right there. You stopped your explanation of why your dorm hall was the best in the campus to look at her straight in the eyes.
- What?
Wanda knew there was no turning back. She said it, and she decided to stand to her words.
- I love you so much Y/N, you really don't have and idea of how much. I love your eyes, your voice, your personality; i love your stupid jokes about life... I love how you talk, how you move, how you walk. I love how you treat me, how you protect me. I love how, despite everything i've done, you're still by my side... I think i just love everything about you.
You hear her speak and your heart beat at hundred times per second. The words you always wanted to hear, she was finally saying them.
- Wanda, what are you talking about? - you asked, still in disbelief.
The girl's heart was about to explode. But she needed to keep talking, she couldn't stopped just then.
- Y/N I don't expect you to reciprocate my feelings, not after everything I put you through... But i just need to come clean, can i be honest with you?
You nodded dumbly. You had so many questions, but you knew nothing would come out of your mouth. So you let her talk.
- Y/n i drop out off college because of you, and before you blame yourself, it was mostly because i missed you... You and i had a dream, going to NYU together was our thing, and it shouldn't have been with Vision... I guess, not only the college thing but everyhting, it was never Vision. It was you all along. You were my first love Y/N, i shouldn't have give up on you... on us. Yes, our friendship is the most important thing for me, but if we could be something more... Ughh, now things are just weird between us, and that sucks... and i miss you - she knew she was rambling, but she needed to get everything out - and now you're with someone else, and that's fine but, i just wish it was me... Because even when i made mistakes, it was always you.
When she finished talking you were loss for words. Your heart, your mind, nothing was working correctly. It was like the whole world faded because Wanda told you she loved you.
That's all your mind registered: she loved you.
- Wanda... i don't know what to say to be honest - you said.
She was a mess, her heart was beating like crazy, she was all flustered because of the nerves and her whole body was shaking. She wanted to hear your answer, but she was also afraid of what she might hear.
- I wish things were different too... - you said looking at her - You know, i'm really confuse right now. Sharon... she's someone special to me, i wouldn't want to hurt her, i guess now i understand what you felt about Vision. But, i want to be honest with you too... I don't want to lose you again, you're even more special to me... I want you to be in my life forever. It truly seems like timing never work for us, right? - you joked, making her smile a little - We can be friends Wanda, i'm really excited to be in college with you, if you want that too... I just don't want to lose you.
She started to cry.
- Oh Y/N, i would love to be in your life forever, even if you're not with me, i don't want to lose you either... Thanks for giving me a second chance.
You hugged her even tighter than before, now crying as well. You two stood there for some minutes, melting in each other's embrace. When you broke the hug you noticed it was almost 2 am, so you decided to go back to your tent, wishing her good luck with Kate's snores.
You didn't have much sleep that night though. Your mind kept you up all night.
Wanda told you she love you. She confessed her feelings for you and now it was up to you to take the chance. You looked to your side and found Sharon sleeping soundly. You knew it was unfair for her that you felt that way, but you couldn't deny your feelings: deep down you knew it was Wanda, cause it had always been Wanda.
The next morning you and your friends left the camp and went back home. Sharon noticed you were a little bit quite, but when she asked you about it you just said it was because you hadn't sleep well. Wich wasn't completely a lie.
You spent two days more with her before she flied back to Los Angeles. She was excited cause she got her acceptance letter from Princeton. You were happy for her too, but the situation made you wonder about your future with her. She wouldn't be around UCLA anymore, and that would change your whole dynamic.
She told you not to worry, kissed you one last time and went back home.
In the remaining days you prepared your luggage to return to the university.
Wanda was in some sort of trance. After you told her to be just friends she felt happy cause you would still be in her life, but she also was sad because it wasn't in the way she wanted.
When she told everything to Pietro he told her it was brave to come clean with you, but he was also worried for her sister's feelings.
- I know Y/N well enough to know she won't hurt you, but i'm worried you two are making a mistake. This whole thing of "let's just be friends" can be risky for the both of you.
She just replied:
- We're still friends and that's all that matters, we'll live our college dream together and everything will be fine.
You flied back to Los Angeles, now with Wanda and her parents.
Pietro flied back to Switzerland.
And Sharon flied to New Jersey.
The first weeks of the course went normal. Wanda loved the campus and was thrilling because you were there with her. You showed to her all of your favorite spots and you two settle a schedule to spend time together, mostly studying.
Wanda immediately felt the change from NYU. She was genuinely excited for her classes, she genuinely loved the school, she didn't have to pretend cause she felt happier.
You were happier with her there too. Although something was still feeling out of place.
You thought it was because Sharon wasn't there anymore. You used to call her every night to tell her about your day. She told you all about her campus and her program. You listened to her attentive, but she knew something was off. She could feel it too.
But both of you were too afraid to mention it.
The days passed, and everything felt like a roller coaster for you: in the day everything was exciting and brilliant because you spent it with Wanda. But at night, when you talked to Sharon over the phone, everything felt wrong. Every night you went to sleep with a pit in your stomach wondering why you couldn't be happy with Sharon, but why you felt so complete with Wanda.
Sharon Carter was a very intelligent girl. From the moment you told her Wanda was going to be with you at UCLA she knew you two were doomed. She didn't have to know your complete history with Wanda to know she was someone special for you. Someone who she couldn't compete with, cause she'll always lose to Wanda if it was up to you.
But as intelligent and perceptive as she was, she was firstly, a girl in love. So, leaving behind any insecurity, she was hoping you would chose her. That's why she tried to make things work for the two of you, for as long as she could. A month was enough to completely wear out your relationship.
As intense as her love was, she knew she couldn't alter the course of fate. She recognized that you had alredy found your way with another person, and Sharon understood that she had to let you go, accepting that this time, she couldn't change the destiny of your love.
Sharon called you, like every night. But this time there wasn't any softness in her voice. You knew, from the moment she said you needed to talk, what was the night was heading to.
The conversation was long, tired, and full of regretness. She regretted meeting you. You regretted taking it too far. Both of you regretted making each other so unhappy.
Needless to say, it wasn't an amicable breakup. She cried and you didn't stop asking for forgiveness until she said goodbye and hang up the phone.
You spent your night alone. You cried, but when the sadness left your body completely, you felt lighter. As if the crying had washed away the guilt and the weight from your soul.
The next day you told Wanda about your break up with Sharon. She asked you if you were okay and you mindelessly said yes.
- C'mon Y/N, you know you can be vulnerable with me, there's no need to put on a brave face.
You insisted that everything was fine, and after a few more attempts, she dropped the subject to avoid making you uncomfortable.
She was surprised to hear the news. Sharon seemed like a nice girl, and even when she knew she wasn't veey comfortable with your frienship, she wanted for you to be happy.
She tried to avoid having any inappropriate thoughts, but she couldn't stop herself to wonder about you and her. She knew you had just come out of a relationship, everything was still too fresh, but deep down, a flicker of hope had ignited in her.
You on the other hand was confused with yourself. You wanted to feel bad, to be sad, to grieve your relationship with Sharon. You felt like a complete idiot for not feeling bad. God, your girlfriend had broken up with you, and it had mostly been your fault, but you couldn't feel sad. After crying that first night when you broke up, you never cried again. Now what you felt was guilt for feeling nothing.
Some days later Wanda asked Pietro to call you. She was worried about you cause she thought you were keeping all your pain to yourself. So she decided to call in the big guns.
When you saw Pietro's name on the phone you were excited but a little confused. He made small talk for a while and told you about Switzerland and his girlfriend. When he finally dropped the bomb on why he called you, you couldn't say you were surprised.
- She's just worried about you Y/N.
You sighed.
- I know, but there's no need to be worried, i'm fine.
- Y/N, i'm on the other side of the world and i can tell you're not fine, i can hear ir in your voice. Wanda thinks you're keeping it all to yourself and she just wants you to have someone to talk.
You knew there was no use in trying to denied anymore. Pietro was a close friend. You grew up together as well. He was like a brother to you. That's why you decided to finally speak to him.
- It's just that... I have nothing to talk about Pietro.
You told him all your concerns about your break up with Sharon and you vent with him.
He listened to you carefully, not saying anything at first.
- Why do I feel like crap? - you asked when you finished - I really wanted this relationship to work, i felt something for Sharon, without a doubt. But when things fell apart i felt almost relived that it was over... I'm such a jerk.
- No, you're not, everyone has a way to cope, and just because you're not miserable and sulking doesn't mean you're bad, please don't torture yourself over it. You truly believed you wanted to be with her, you gave your best effort in that relatioship but you can't force yourself to love someone. Sharon was special, but maybe you tried too hard to love her. But why?
You felt your heart racing at his question. You knew damn well why.
- I think i was afraid of what could happen if i wasn't with Sharon.
- So you used her... and don't get me wrong, it can be really fun as a distraction, but when it's over, you think about the girl you really like, the one that broke your heart. Maybe that's why you feel nothing but freedom. Now you can make your own decisions Y/N.
You ended the call a minutes later.
For some days you thought about what Pietro said. You were experiencing so many emotions that you asked Wanda to suspend you study sessions together for a few days.
Wanda thought you were taking time apart from her because of your break up. Maybe you wanted time for yourself without her.
It sucked for her cause she believed you were best friends again. But even if you weren't her best friend, she knew you would always be friends.
It was almost ironic. You two never got the timing right. She shot you down and then you did the same to her and now...
She needed to focus her attention on something else.
She sent you a text letting you know she would be at the volleyball tryouts, so if you needed anything you'll knew where to find her.
You texted her back a thumb up emoji and a happy face, wishing her good luck.
You were alone in your room when suddenly Pietro's words rang in your head: Now you can make your own decisions Y/N.
A power took over your body and you walked out of the dorm hall to go to the volleyball court. You were nervious, but you had something to do.
Wanda was talking to the volleyball coach in her office, answering some medical questions fro the formal papers, when you suddenly opened the door.
- Y/N, what are you doing here? - she asked confused.
- Hey, emm i'm sorry coach, i just have to say something...- the coach nodded at you and you looked back at Wanda - Um, are you free for dinner tonight?
- Yes - Wanda said shocked.
- All right, then it's a date... - you said smiling and closing the door to leave.
Wanda smiled like never before. She felt on cloud 9. Her face was all red and her body shaking in excitement. She looked at the coach, rememebering where she was.
- I'm sorry, what was the question? - she asked nervously.

Sweet Nothing
Elizabeth Olsen x Reader
A/N: sorry if there's any grammatical mistakes, it's 3:25 in the morning.

It was a rainy saturday afternoon and Elizabeth was finishing her grocery shopping, after spending the last thirty minutes finding everything she had wroten on her little list, she was ready to go home.
Waiting on the line to pay was one of the most boring things on earth. Or at leat that's how it felt for Lizzie.
But there she was, all hid behind her blue dodgers baseball cap, her big black sunglasses and her face mask. There were three people in front of her, she just needed to be a little more patient.
She looked on the shelves around her and pick up a chocolate bar to put it in her basket. A magazine standing next to the other candies caught up her attention.
Her face was all over the cover, and a slightly smaller picture of you on her side, only with a heart break image in between. She couldn't help but roll her eyes before reading the headline on it.
"Actress of the moment Elizabeth Olsen and her girlfriend, writer and director Y/N Y/LN: rumors on their broke up."
She left the magazine back on the shelf and noticed similar headlines on the other magazines behind it.
"What's going on between Elizabeth Olsen and her ex-girlfriend?"
"Everything we know about the rumors between Elizabeth Olsen and Y/N Y/LN"
She didn't even bothered to read them, it was ridiculous the way press was trying to dig into her private life.
Luckily for her, the line moved fast and in less than twenty minutes she was walking back to her car.
On the way out she spotted two or three paparazzi taking pictures of her. She pretend she didn't see them but she moved her groceries to her car quicker than other days to get out of that place as soon as possible.
On the drive home she felt her heart beat raising and her hands shaking, knowing she probably was having anxiety.
The moment she parked in front of her house she got out of the car and ran inside. She didn't notice the moment she started to cry but she could feel the wetness on her face.
Once she was in the safety of her home she finally tried control her breath in order to control her feelings. But it was hard to control them when all she could felt was her body going numb. It felt like she was going to faint.
That's when she felt a pair of arms holding her, and your familiar warmth that always helped her feel safe.
- Hey Lizzie, it's me, everything is fine darling, you're here, you're in home... Please baby breath with me okay?
She slowly nodded her head.
- Okay so deep breath in... And breath out... That's it, one more time baby...
Lizzie followed your soothing voice and after some minutes of breathing she finally felt her body relax, allowing herself to fall into your arms crying.
- Y/N... - she whispered with trembling voice.
- I'm here baby, I'm here.
You completely embraced her in your arms and she buried her face in the crock your neck, letting herself smell your scent. Something she has always loved.
Some minutes later she felt better and the two of you sat on to the couch in the living room to talk.
- What happened Lizzie? You had an anxiety attack...
- I'm sorry baby but when I was leaving the grocery store I saw some paparazzi taking pictures of me in the parking lot and I got scared... I was afraid they would follow me home like the last time...
- Oh darling I'm so sorry I wasn't there... You should've call me and would've been there as soon as I could... - you told her, holding her hand that was resting on your lap.
- No, I didn't want to disturb, I told you I would go alone and...
- I know but that doesn't matter, there's nothing more important to me than you... You're my girlfriend Lizzie, we're in this together.
She smiled and leaned on to sweetly kiss you on on the lips. You hold her face with your other hand and deepened the kiss a little.
- I know, I love you Y/N, I'm sorry I scared you today.
- Hey it's fine, never apologize for something like this again, okay?
She smiled again and kissed you one more time.
- So, what do you say if you go rest a little and put on some comfy clothes while I go get the groceries from the car and park it in the garage...
- Oh no, let me go do that baby, you don't need to do it for me.
- I know but I will, you just had a shaken day and deserve to get some rest.
You didn't let room for discussion and she ended up giving up. Sometimes your stubbornness around taking care of her was adorable. One of the many reasons why she fell in love with you four years ago.
Lizzie went upstairs and followed your instructions. After changing her clothes into her pajamas and washed her face as she listened to her favorite playlist (the one you created specially for her) she went back downstairs to see what you were doing.
She found a lovely atmosphere with relaxing jazz music on the background and a wonderful smell all over the room.
She silently walked into the kitchen only to find you humming to the song playing as you finished fixing dinner for the two of you.
- That smells amazing honey... - she said hugging you from the back and resting her head in your shoulder.
- Thank you darling, I hope it tastes as good as it smells.
She laughed and helped you plate the food for you two to start eating.
- Do you wanna know what I found out today? At the grocery store... - Lizzie asked you half way through the dinner.
You looked at her smiling.
- What did you found out honey? - you asked.
- That we broke up again, for the second time this year - she said with fake worry.
- Oh no! That's terrible - you responded with the same dramatic tone - Did you broke up with me? Or was it me the one who screwed up?
She laughed.
- I'm not sure darling... But I think it was your fault... - she told playfully.
- I know, it's always my fault, remember the last time we split up? I cheated on you with Margot Robbie... How could it happened again! - you said dramatically with a hand on your chest.
The two of you bursted into laugh and then went back to eat.
- I can't believe they keep going on with that, it's a little old-fashioned, don't you think? They're always saying the end is coming...
- Yeah, but I bet they make thousands with our faces in the cover...
The conversation moved from that and you started to tell her about your new project. You finally came up with the perfect name for it, something you had been thinking about for some weeks .
She listened to you smiling adorably. The way you moved you hands whenever you talked about your ideas and the way your hair flied with the wind blowing from the window. She loved you.
She didn't care if the world outside was pushing and shoving on her. She didn't care if they talked and gossiped around your relationship. She knew that, at the end of the day she would always come back home to you. You were the only person she would be vulnerable to, admitting that sometimes she was too soft for all the pressure that evolved her line of work.
You would hold her and kiss her. Listen to every single word that cames out of her mouth. You would always support her, be by her side though ups and downs, helping her with your best advices for her problems. You would be there even when she didn't love herself. Holding her hand through everything.
Cause all that you ever wanted from her was sweet nothing.

This whole thing is feeling like Jim and Pam
Wanda Maximoff x Reader
Summary: you're in love with your best friend. She has a boyfriend.
A/N: If the title was enough for you to know what's this about, let me give you a hug :)
Words: 3231
Tumblr media
Wanda was amazing.
You knew that very well.
She was kind, funny, talented, smart, friendly and beautiful.... Really, really, really beautiful.
She was your best friend. Since kindergarten you two were inseparable.
But only on the early months of high school you started to develop deeper feelings for her.
You'd spend hours thinking about her eyes. Ohh those green eyes you could get lost in. Found yourself daydreaming about her smile, her laugh, and the way her nose scrunch from time to time.
She was just perfect in every way.
But you didn't dare to tell her, too afraid that your feelings might not be reciprocated. You couldn't lose her. That was the last thing you wanted.
And to be honest, you felt like it wasn't necessary, she was your best friend, always caring and supportive, all the time by your side. Wanda was a lovely person, very affectionate with all the people around her. But specially with you, she was always very touchy, telling you beautiful things and making sure you were feeling okay.
And that worked for you. At least for two semesters.
Vision got transferred to your school on the third semester, and despite being a shy, quiet guy, he got all the attention by being the new kid. And also by being Tony Stark's cousin.
That semester you didn't shared many classes with Wanda (barely three). But Vision did. And of course, Wanda being the warm person she was, didn't hesitate on welcoming him to school.
That's how your nightmare begun.
After the first two weeks of interaction between them, everything Wanda talked about was Vision.
"Did you know Vision was home schooled his whole life?"
"He's also in the debate club now, we're both working together"
"He knows how to play the piano, he said he would teach me someday"
"Vision told me he spoke french, can you believe it?"
Vision this. Vision that. Uggh, you grew tired of listening to his name.
But being her best friend, it was normal for her to share that part of her life with you. And you were very good at hiding your distaste, because she never noticed it.
Four months later she stopped talking so often about him. Suddenly the talks about him ceased. You felt relieved to say the least. Even if you would ask about him, she'd change the subject almost immediately, barely answering to your questions.
You thought that whatever that was going on between them was over. So you didn't pushed any further, and stopped bringing him up.
But one week before the christmas break she dropped the bomb.
- I know I wasn't talking about Vision that much, or at least the way I always do. But now I have something important to tell you... The reasons behind this behavior it's that... We've been dating all this time.
Your smile faded that same instance.
- I know, I know, I should've told you since the beginning but he wanted to keep it private.
You nodded, still dumbfounded.
- Okay... - you said almost in a whisper - So, what changed, why are you telling me this now?
Your hands were shaking, and you could feel your heart skipping like crazy.
She smiled widely.
- Yesterday he asked me to be his girlfriend.
Oh no. No, no, no.
- And I said yes. He's my boyfriend now.
Did you hear that? It was the sound of your heart breaking.
The girl of your dreams, the love of your life was dating someone else.
You were in love with your best friend, but she had a boyfriend now.
- So what do you say Y/N? - she asked you.
You blinked a couple of times before returning your attention back to her.
- Amm...
What were you supposed to say?
"Please break up with him because I fell in love with you"
" That's not fair, I was in love with you first"
"I feel like vomiting"
No, you couldn't say that. You would never jeopardize her happiness.
So you put on your pants and faked a smiley face.
- I'm sorry, that was a lot of information to process, but I'm really happy for you Wands, I hope he makes you really happy.
She smiled and hugged you.
- Thank you Y/N, i was really nervous to tell you, but now I know everything is fine.
You hugged her back.
- Everything is fine - you replied.
Vision suddenly appeared after that and you congratulated him. Not missing the opportunity to warn him.
- You know Vision, I hope you make her really happy, treat her the way she deserves. And If I get to know that, somehow, she isn't happy, or that you made something stupid that hurt her, or if you directly break her heart... I will haunt you down, so you better take care of my bestie....
Both, Wanda and Vision laughed a little. They thought you were half joking, but deep down, you knew you meant it. You would never let someone hurt Wanda.
- I promise Y/N, i will treat Wanda as the princess she is - he said.
- Aww Vis...
She kissed his cheek and you knew you weren't ready to watch them.
- Eww, gross - you said - I better leave now, I don't wanna third wheel in here.
Again, they laughed. And again, you weren’t joking.
-Okay, see you later Y/N - Wanda said, hugging you one last time.
You bid your goodbyes and went straight home. That afternoon you cried your heart out for hours, basically until you fell asleep.
The first weeks were weird for you, Wanda never had any other boyfriends before, so this situation was new for the two of you. The dynamic changed, and even when she still made time for you, she was still in bliss with Vision, and would spend all the possible time with him.
As time passed, you noticed Vision kept up with his promise on treating her right. But if you were honest, you knew you would be a better partner for her.
Vision wasn't bad (not a total asshole, luckily), but from your perspective he was taking Wanda for granted. The way he treated her was normal, good, average.
And Wanda deserved much more than just average.
She deserved the whole world. You would put the universe at her feet if you could.
But Vision, that guy was doing the bare minimum. Wanda used to tell you everything about her relationship. Sometimes that was bad. Sometimes that was good.
You knew, first handed, that sometimes he ditched her to go out with his friends, even when they had agreed on a date. He would ask Wanda to go to her football games, but he didn't attend to her music recitals.
And yes, they were still kissing, and holding hands at school, going on dates. He was still giving her flowers, showing her off to everyone, proudly being her boyfriend.
And you trusted him enough to know he wouldn't cheat on her.
But still, you knew you could be better.
You would attend to each and every single one of her recitals, you would even wait for her at her rehearsals. Damm it, you did it. As her best friend you always waited for her after school. You took her home every afternoon, even if you had to go back to yours later.
You drove her to school every morning, patiently waiting for her to get ready. Vision said she always took too much time, so it was better to meet at school.
You would even go with her to walk her dog. She told you Vision wasn't "a dog person", so he didn't like touching her little dog.
Even Pietro, her twin brother, told you you were better for her one morning before leaving for school when you two were talking outside.
- I always thought you and my sister would end up together.
-What? - you asked, thinking you heard wrong - Why?
- Well, I thought you liked her, I mean, you have a really special bond, and I know she loves you too much... But maybe I was wrong.
You gulped, still freaking out.
- Yeah, maybe you were wrong.
He looked at you, analyzing you for a few seconds.
- But you know, high school relationships never last long... Perhaps, there's still a chance if you two take it.
Suddenly Wanda came out from the house and Pietro winked at you before leaving. He had a scholarship on a private school thanks to his athletic skills, that guy ran as fast as the light, so he didn't attend the same school as you and Wanda.
Under that circumstances high school years passed, and without even thinking about it, you were about to go to college.
Vision and Wanda had their ups and downs, but were still together.
And you were even more in love with her.
Everything was normal, although you noticed slightly changes in Wanda's behavior. She seemed a little less cheerful than before. But maybe that was just you.
You and Wanda always talked about going to NYU together. You also liked UCLA as well, but New York and Wanda sounded like a better idea.
Then she mentioned Vision was also thinking in NYU.
That made you second guess your decision, maybe UCLA was better for you. But no, you couldn't abandoned Wanda, she was happy that her best friend and her boyfriend would be with her.
You still had time to think about it though.
Prom got closer as the days went by, and you didn't know who you would ask to be your date.
You thought that, Wanda would go with Vision. But then she mentioned that his parents were hosting a dinner for him that same night, and that he asked her to be there.
- But you love prom, that's something you've been dreaming since freshman year... - you told her.
- I know, but he's my boyfriend Y/N, and it's a special night for him.
- It's a special night for you too Wands. Why don't you two come to the prom, and then you go to dinner the next day. The dinner can be any other day, but you can't move prom night...
- His parents settle the day, he didn't like the idea of coming anyways...
- But Wanda that's not fair.
- Well, I like the idea of spending that night with my boyfriend, so I'm happy about it too - she said, and you noticed an irritated tone in her voice.
- Are you sure?
- Yes Y/N, I'm sure, if you excuse me I need to go find Vision now.
She left you alone in the bench without saying goodbye.
From that day on things between you felt odd. But you were still picking her up for school and driving her home everyday.
Pietro told you he wasn't happy with his sister's decision on not attending to prom. But you already had gave up on that topic, so you just listened to him.
- By the way, who are you going with? Did you ask somebody? Or did somebody ask you?
You sighed.
- Well, your sister would've been my first choice if Vision didn't attend, but with this situation I don't know, maybe Kate Bishop, she's a really good friend too.
- Ohh, is Y/N going for something special with the archer girl?
- Oh stop it, she's just my friend, I like her but not that way.
- But you do like her...
- Pietro..
- Who do you like? - suddenly Wanda's voice interrupted you.
- Oh, no one, Pietro just like to tease.
- Yeah sure, I just like to tease...
You and him laughed, but Wanda seemed still confused.
- Whatever, let's go Wanda, it's gonna be late.
She went silent the whole way to school, and the moment you parked she just stepped out of the car and said thank to you. You didn't see her for the rest of the day.
That same week you prepared your promposal for Kate and asked her to be your date. She excitedly said yes, and hugged you in front of everyone watching.
In the afternoon, Wanda finally broke the silence on your way back home.
- So you and Kate huh?
- Amm yes, she's one of my closest friends and I wanted to be with someone I feel comfortable with the whole night.
- Hmm, that sounds nice, she's pretty and funny.
- I know, she's the perfect date.
- Why didn't you tell me before? That you were going to ask Kate.
You looked at her confused.
- Well, we haven't had talked that much this week, and I wasn't sure If I would do it until I just did it.
She nodded and looked through the window.
- I've been talking with Vision, about the prom situation and we decided to go to the prom, only for an hour or so, and then leave to have dinner with his parents.
- Oh, that's nice Wanda, it will be awesome to have you there.
- Yeah, that way I can go to prom and he gets his dinner. Everyone happy.
- Yep, everyone happy.
The awaited prom night finally came, you picked up Kate from her house, had nice pretty prom photos taken and had a lot of fun dancing and chatting with your friends.
Wanda and Vision were there as they promised, and since the moment Wanda stepped in the room you couldn't help but stared at her as if she was the only girl in the world.
Her beautiful black dress and her pinned hair did nothing but make her look even more beautiful (if that was possible).
Vision wasn't in the mood for dancing, so Wanda danced with you and your friends the whole time. You felt anger towards him. How could he do that to Wanda? You were dying for having a dance just with her and he wasn't even looking at her.
You felt crowded out of the sudden, so you excused yourself to Kate, telling her you needed to catch some air, and left the room.
Wanda noticed this and followed you right after.
You were standing in an empty hall when she found you.
- Are you okay Y/N? I saw you walking out of the room.
You were a little surprised to see she followed you. But answer with a little smile.
- Yes, I'm fine, it's just I needed some fresh air, it was getting a little bit crowded in there.
- Oh but are you alright? Are you feeling down?
- Oh no, I'm great, just needed some space. Why don't you go back? You were having fun.
- No, actually I was coming to say goodbye, Vision and I are leaving in a few minutes.
You frowned.
-Are you actually leaving? You're having so much fun in there.
- I know but I promised Vision to go to his dinner. Also his parents will be there, I can't cancel them last minute.
- Why not? He canceled you last minute like a thousand times, why can't you take one night to yourself? - you asked slightly annoyed. Wanda deserved to enjoy her prom night, and Vision was taking it away from her.
- Why are you bringing that up? - she asked, also annoyed - Just because he failed sometimes doesn't mean he's a bad person.
- I'm not saying he's a bad person, I'm saying he's a bad boyfriend.
- What? How can you say that? Have you been hating him this whole time?
At this point the both of you were raising your voice tone.
- Yes, I hate whenever he made you feel bad just because he didn't know how to treat you. And I hate that you always forgave him, never realizing that he doesn't deserve you Wanda. Damm it! He's even forcing you to leave your own prom night!
- Are you serious? I'm telling you I want to go, yes I'm having fun but... He needs me.
- I'm your best friend, I need you too, I wanted this to be a special night for us but now you only care about Vision. I tried to be nice to him, but now I like him less and less everytime.
- He doesn't like you either... - she said seriously.
- What?
- He doesn't like you either Y/N, he had always thought that you liked me, that you were in love with me.
Your heart was rushing, and a sudden blushed invaded your face.
- I told him he was wrong, we're only friends. But he never said something mean about you, why are you so against him?
You were still in shock.
- Y/N? Why do you dislike Vision so much?
Your mind was working too fast. He knew, he knew you liked his girlfriend. Maybe this was the proper time to come clean, to try your chance with her. Or maybe it wasn't. Your brain was having a several short-circuit, and before you even though about it, the words came out of your mouth.
- He's right - you said - I love you Wanda, I've been loving you for years.
Wanda could swear the world stopped moving for a second.
- What?
- He's right Wanda, I'm in love with you - you repeated - I'm really sorry if that's weird for you to hear but... And I know it's a really bad timing but I needed you to know.
She looked straight into your eyes, looking for any sign of that being a joke. But she only found your attentive gaze on her, waiting for an answer.
- Y/N... Why are you doing this? You know I... - she seemed nervous and shocked - I can't, he's there and...
- Don't leave Wanda, stay with me.
You saw she was processing everything. A little part of your soul hoped she would nod her head and kiss you, telling you she was in love you with too. But your realistic part took the hit sooner. She was stepping back.
- I'm sorry, I need to go, he's waiting for me.
- Wanda.... - you tried to stop her, but she turned around and started to walk away.
- I'm sorry if I gave you the wrong idea... That's probably my fault.
- It's not your fault - you said - I'm sorry if I messed things up, I'm so sorry.
She didn't hear that last part, as she was already out of your sight.
You stayed there in the empty hall for twenty minutes. You told everything to Kate and she suggested you to go back home. You didn't want to leave her all alone, but she assured you she would be okay with the rest of your friends so you gave in and left.
You were miserable.
She didn't love you.
She didn't choose you.
The next day she posted a picture of her and Vision at the prom and you knew there wasn't anything you could do.
That week you sent your application letter to the UCLA.
You needed to move on, and you definitely wouldn't apply to the same school as Wanda and her boyfriend.
She made a choice. And that wasn't you.
You had no future in New York.
You had no future with Wanda.
