It's the loneliest feeling in the world. It's like walking down an empty street listening to your own footsteps. But all you have to do is knock on any door and say: 'If you'll let me in, I'll live the way you want me to live, and I'll think the way you want me to think.' And all the blinds will go up, and all the doors will open, and you'll never be lonely, ever again.
The script was adapted by Nedrick Young and Harold Jacob Smith, the latter was blacklisted and forced to use the pseudonym Nathan E. Douglas. (from wikipedia)
You don’t need anything, do you? People, love, an idea just to cling to?

“He Ain’t Got Rhythm” from On the Avenue (1937) – composed by Irving Berlin; performed by Alice Faye, the Ritz Brothers, and chorus
On the Avenue, directed by Roy Del Ruth, showcased many of 20th Century Fox’s great musical talents. This video has Alice Faye briefly in the beginning, but mainly features the Ritz Brothers - Al, Jimmy, and Harry - a trio with identical personalities that rivaled the non-musical Marx Brothers in popularity. The Ritz Brothers’ popularity, however, did not prove as lasting as the Marxes, as they were largely relegated to B-pictures upon moving to Universal Pictures in 1940.
Musical fans: can you hear a bit of “Cheek to Cheek” in there?

“The Babbitt and The Bromide” Gene Kelly & Fred Astaire
- Compare and contrast
It’s easy to compare the two famous dancers when they’re side by side. This number was Fred’s idea, so it reflects more of his style.
Fred was slightly taller, more slender and longer limbed so he took advantage of this with his quick feet, almost seeming to glide across the floor in his signature style.
Gene on the other hand was slightly shorter, more muscular, and had a wider stance. A lower center of gravity. He matched steps with Fred in this number by throwing his whole body into it.
They matched steps, but had entirely different ways of doing it. As Cyd Charisse said, “They’re like apples and oranges. They’re both delicious!”

Cinerama was the first of several new cinematic techniques introduced when the movie industry was facing increasing competition from the new phenomena of television. Movie audiences dropped as more and more people began owning TVs. Studios wanted to convince the public that the movie theatre experience was still something unique that they couldn’t get anywhere else, but the studios also needed something different, even spectacular, to entice audiences back.

hi! so sorry to bother you! but your Bruce Campbell flipping himself compilation is EVERYTHING. do u have the links to the full videos (especially the last clip)?
before the evil dead: the super-8 short films volume 1 + volume 2 it's in the 'compilation of short clips' section in vol 2. should warn: you have to download the full file to watch it, both files are a bit large altogether (13 GB iirc) and you'll need something like VLC to play them.
the gore the merrier (from evil dead 2's dvd released in 2000)
fangoria's weekend of horrors: 1989, 1990, 1992
fangoria chainsaw awards 1994
