It's been awhile since I've posted... hope you are doing well! 😊 I'm excited to be a part of @fangandfur 's Cat Art Auction, in support of Pet Refuge @petrefugenz  -  a wonderful charity providing shelter and care for pets of people affected by domestic violence. ‘Audelia’, digital painting on @Procreate app. This is a piece that I’ve been working on for quite a long time and I’m pretty happy with how it turned it. It started off as a portrait study, but as I was about to finish it, I thought why not turn her into a character! I’ve always liked the aesthetic of women in armour and black birds... so here they are! I definitely feel more confident with painting characters in various settings now after painting all those landscapes with Nathan Fowkes’s tutorial. I’m really looking forward to painting some more character designs and learn new things along the way. Been spending a lot more time on each piece but it’s very rewarding to see the outcome. Last exercise from Nathan Fowkes's Digital Landscape Painting workout series ..woohoo!! 💖🎨😎 I feel like I've learnt so much from painting his landscapes.. shapes, edges, colours, simultaneous contrast, how to paint specific subjects ie . Clouds, rocks, trees and using various brushes to achieve textures and gradients..as well as making beautiful lighting and atmosphere. He made it so easy to follow and understand.
