Day 4: Lumiose Awaits

We all thought it was a good idea to train on the way to Lumiose City, so we did! Out on Route 4, Edmund even evolved into Braixen! I also caught a Budew, who I named Mary, but she’s staying with Professor Sycamore for now. Oh! When I was almost to Lumiose City I ran into two other kids named Sina and Dexio. They showed me to Professor Sycamore’s lab, but when I asked about the weird things happening they didn’t seem to have an answer for me. 

Professor Sycamore was really pleased to see me too, especially since I won the Bug Badge! We had a battle right there in his office, and he even let me keep one of the Pokémon he used! She’s a Bulbasaur, and her name is Veronica! For some reason he stopped the battle before I could actually win, but that’s okay I guess. Maybe he didn’t have time to stop by the Pokémon Center today. He also gave me a strange rock he called a Venusaurite, and suggested I go to Camphrier town to find out something about Mega Evolution. Whatever that is, I want to know! 

My friends showed up shortly after I did, but when I asked about whatever tragedy the people in the last center were talking about he rushed us out! Calem said he wanted us to meet up at Café Soleil in the morning, and I’m not sure why. Maybe because we’re the best? Maybe we can do team battles together! That would be really fun. 

When I let Veronica out of her Pokéball there was a note attached to her bulb from Professor Sycamore. It says to meet him at his lab early in the afternoon alone, and that he will explain what I asked. How strange! The rest of the day was spent roaming Lumiose and getting in a couple small battles with people who live here. Now though, I’m back at the Pokémon Center near the lab, and I think I’m going to get some sleep. Tomorrow I’ll find out what’s going on, and I have a... Meeting with Calem! Can’t wait!

Day 3: New Friends on the Horizon

By the time I woke up today, everyone was already gone. So I decided to go explore Santalune City all by myself. Well, with my pokéfriends. I got challenged to a battle outside the gym, and when I won the nice lady gave me a pair of roller skates. I can get around really quickly now! 

Edmund and I managed to walk right through the Santalune gym, and by the time we finished Viola was so pleased that she not only gave me the Bug Badge and a TM, but also scheduled me to come in for a photo shoot later in the afternoon because she liked my Pokémon so much! 

In the meantime, I ran out to Route 22 to kill a little time and take in the sights. Little did I know that I’d be making a new friend here, the one in the picture I glued up there! Amber is such a sweetie, and is so photogenic! Also, Millie beat a Pokémon all by herself, I’m so proud of her! This girl had a Litleo that looked really strong, but Millie’s bubble attack took him out! 

After the photo shoot I came back to the Pokémon center since it was getting a bit dark out. Everyone seems a little on edge, and I hear people whispering about some terrible thing that happened. I’ll have to ask Professor Sycamore when I head into Lumiose tomorrow. Oh yeah! Viola said he would want to see my new gym badge, so that’s where I’m heading tomorrow!

Day 2: Onwards to Santalune City

Today was a little odd, but I made some really good progress on my journey! 

Shortly after I woke up I headed out to meet up with Shauna, Calem, Tierno, and Trevor, but Rhyhorn stopped me along the way for some love! I’m gonna miss that big, spiky derp. After that, I ran up Route 1, through Aquacorde Town, and met up with everyone on Route 2. I caught a Pidgey after an intense fight pretty much as soon as I got to Route 2, and named him Patrick! Boy was Calem surprised when he tried to show us how to catch Pokemon, and I showed him Patrick! 

After that, I battled a boy with a really strong Zigzagoon, and decided to train for a while before actually going through the forest. I spent an hour or so fighting wild Pokemon, and I noticed something really weird.. When I knock them out, Pokeballs don’t work on them. I thought they were supposed to?..

Anyway, Shauna noticed that same thing, and we decided to go through the forest together. She was there when I found my new friend, Emily the Pikachu! I nearly knocked her out, but thankfully I caught her and she now resides in one of my Pokeballs! We all trained for a while before catching up with the other three, and we exited out onto Route 3 together. 

We split up after hitting Route 3 and agreed to meet up at the Pokemon center in Santalune Cityfor the night. On the way, I caught another Pokemon! An Azurill I named Millie, she’s such a sweetie! Not awfully strong yet, but she’ll get there with hard work and dedication. We’re like a little family now! One of these days I’ll draw a picture of all of us, but for now, this one of Emily and I will have to do!

It’s getting a little late though, and it’s a little cold in here.. At least I can snuggle with Edmund for warmth.

Day 1: 

Today was crazy! When I got up and went out today, I was snatched up by some other kids and taken to Aquacorde Town, just up the road. They gave me a Fennekin from Professor Sycamore, and a pokedex! I named my little foxy Edmund, isn’t it cute?! Here’s a picture of us. Shauna, one of my new friends, challenged me to my first battle too, and we won! We beat her Chespin pretty easily, and I was super proud of my new partner! Then, we went and bought a few pokeballs and potions, then went home. 

There was a letter from Sycamore for Mom too, and she was totally all about me going on an adventure around Kalos! This is gonna be great.. Tomorrow.. When Edmund and I actually get started. I hope my new friends don’t mind, but I need some rest before I can start an adventure like this!

The Nuzlocke

These are the rules of this Nuzlocke run that I will be documenting: 

1) The first pokemon in a route is the only one that may be caught. If it is a repeat of a previously caught pokemon, the second may be substituted. 

2) If I fail to catch a pokemon, I may try exactly one more time after defeating the following gym. 

3) If a pokemon faints, it must be released. 

4) All pokemon must be named. 

5) This adventure will be documented in character as a journal/diary. 

6) Shiny pokemon may be caught and banked. Obviously. :P 

7) No trading.
