In my last post, I forgot to clarify that the 2nd person POV is not intended for the reader in Character x Reader fics, but it’s used in the POV of the character itself. Usually, people do this to have the reader feel whatever it is the character’s feeling when they’re Going Through Some Stuff, and that you’d be a little more empathetic towards them for it. It’s addressing how ‘you’ are just the character themselves instead of interacting with them through self-insert, and for a moment, you’ll saddle whatever it is they’re carrying too.
