I just added some Frank Underwood 2016 stuff to my Society6 page.

Remember when I did those logos for the 2016 presidential campaign of Frank Underwood? Well now you can own them as tshirts, prints, mugs, phone cases, pillows, rugs, or laptop cases.

It is only the different logos, no photos are included in the designs, as I most likely do not have permission to use them to sell products. However, you can choose from the official logo with tagline, FU2016, and 'Tell America FU" designs.

If you would like to purchase something but with one of the alternate color schemes (blue on white or white on red), let me know, otherwise, I just have the white/red on blue for now.

The past couple days, I did something I haven’t done in a while, some fictional branding. This one is for the 2016 presidential campaign for Francis J. Underwood. 

I obviously used the House of Cards logo as some inspiration with the upside down flag, as well as having fun with the fact that Frank’s initials are F.U. I tried to make everything as Frank as possible. 

Included are logos (with color variants), poster/magazine ad, Facebook/Twitter cover page, Stationary, Business Card, Bus Livery and Buttons.

I still love this piece, it is one of those pieces that I can actually see why people would think it's Banksy. Very similar style and a bit clever. So I understand the confusion. Though, this is a bit sad. Especially with the signature added in there for good measure. Yikes.

It is such an honor to tattoo a piece of art by one of your idols, even more that this is one of my favorites! Just finished up House of Cards a couple days ago and absolutely loved the series. I'm planning on watching it again because honestly the first time around a whole bunch of political mumbo jumbo went over my head, but I feel like a second viewing will help and I'll probably enjoy it more than the first. Despite that, I think it was one of the best series I've ever watched, coming in behind Breaking Bad. So naturally, I wanted to create something House of Cards related once I was done.

I don't know what it was about it, but any time there was a scene of Frank and Claire sitting at the window smoking, the image stuck in my mind. It was just so powerful looking. I think mostly due to the fact that these two are such ruthless, powerful figures, and I saw their nightly smoke time together was a time of celebration. They almost always sat there with a smile on their face, enjoying each others' company, basking in whatever cutthroat deal or trap they had set that day. From the first time I saw it, I knew that that image was what I wanted to use. And here it is.

Tumblr’s quality really sucks (since when did they do that? It used to be a lot better), but here is the first poster I’ve done in a very very long time. 

It’s obviously for the movie Her, which I actually just watched last week. It’s not often that a movie affects me the way that this one did. It turned up all kinds of feelings in me from wishing I wasn’t single, to so fucking glad that I’m single, to happy, to sad, to jealous, to fucking devastated and it was all within one movie. That’s how the inspiration came about to do it, was because I was just randomly thinking about the movie and an idea popped in.

The design is essentially based on the common theme of touch. At the beginning of the movie, when Theodore is in an erotic chat with a woman she says that she wishes he was in her bed with her, and what he would do to her. Something very similar happens later on once Samantha is in his life, they talk about how they wish that she could be in his bed, and what would he do to her.

Since I've gotten a job 2+ years ago, it feels as if I've lost a bit of creativity.

I guess mostly it has to do with sitting in front of a computer and Illustrator for 8 hours. Then when I go home, the last thing I want to do is open Illustrator and work on something personal.

But in the past week or so, I've been on a bit of streak of creativity. I have a new painting in the works that is pretty much completely designed, stencils just need to be printed out and then actual painting. And then last night, I did my first minimal movie poster in I don't even know how long. Tried to get it ready for posting last night, but it didn't want to cooperate and I was already up at like 2am, so I gave up, but I'll probably get it posted online tonight.

I don't know where this came from, but I hope it sticks around, or at the very least comes back every once in a while.
