Some flowers do not enjoy the rain. This is one of my earliest illustrations. I sketched the drawing and colored it in photoshop. This is another piece that was probably created out of having unstable emotions during the entirety of my life. The flowers are trying to hide from the rain although they need it. This is the second painting of my A-Z series. I’m making butterflies, Just Butterflies! : ) I chose Bells of Ireland as my influence flower for the style of this painting. I’m also testing out my new tripod. I’m also going to let you know how much this Blick brand cold press disappoints me to my core. It doesn’t absorb water well at all. It doesn’t absorb color either. New project: floral 11” X 14” watercolor on arches Hotpress. Planning: in illustrator. Plotting and building the base of the piece. I like to use illustrator because it is easy to make minuscule adjustments and to build the structure of a piece. It’s better than wasting paper.
