HE HAS MY WHOLE HEART OMG
may I request a scara college au, with him as our secret admirer, being sweet in the letters he sends us but irl being really rude and mean. He one day catches someone messing with us and then stands up for us and confesses everything in panic after that<3
summary ; scaramouche drops his "i don't care about you" facade to protect you from this annoying boy who just won't stop trying to get your number, he reveals his identity afterwards too ;)
warnings ; red for kazuha, orange for hu tao, green for alb*rt, scara threatens your admirer but none of the actual violence, just him saying he'll break a few bones if albert comes near again, cursing
pairings ; scaramouche x gn!reader
notes ; ahhh i love this idea sm, thank you anon! also i made the letters pictures so that it's easier to read <3
you showed off your dozens of letters to your friends, though they were disinterested since this wasn't exactly your first time ranting about your oh so dear secret admirer, in fact it probably was your nth time talking about him in that week alone, your friend kazuha takes a closer look at the letters before letting a small smile take place on his lips.
"The handwriting looks familliar."
"Huh? Really?"
"Yeah, looks like Scara's handwriting to me."
Ah yes, Scaramouche. The person who you were sure only existed to make your college life a living hell, he pestered you daily, borrowing simple stuff like pens and when you ask for it back he shrugs you off with a "i forgot it at home" or a "i lost it."
"That gremlin? Pfft no way, he hates me with his whole being."
"That's not a lot of hate now, is it?"
And with that your group errupts in laughter, you couldn't help but join in, but kazuha's comment made you think, what if it really was scaramouche writing to you? nahh it can't be, your secret admirer is so sweet, they even bought you your favorite snacks and drinks the other day, comparing them to that evil goblin is truly offensive.
And when you parted with your friends to go to your respective classes you kept thinking about kazuha's comment, I mean scaramouche is attractive yes, but you just can't imagine him doing all the things your secret admirer has done.
On your way to your class you bumped into albert, this creep who just can't seem to read the room, you've rejected him plenty times and you've ignored him for plenty more but he just can't seem to get the hint.
"Name! Oh yeah by the way, are you free tonight? Wanna have dinner with me?"
"Oh albert, I'm sorry but I have to go uhh study for a quiz.."
"Aww c'mon, it'll be quick i promise! Or an even better idea is why don't you give me your number? So we can make plans for when you're finally free."
At this point your back hit the wall behind you since albert just keeps getting closer, you're clearly uncomfortable and you pray to archons above that someone passes by and helps you.
"I really gotta go, I'll be late-"
"Class doesn't start for another 5 minutes, name. What do you say we-"
"Finish that sentence and i'll crush your skull."
Out of nowhere a familiar tuff of indigo hair appeared, his hands were wrapped around albert's collar as he pulls him away from you.
"Hey man?! What the fuck is wrong with you??"
"Name said they're gonna be late. If I hear that you ever come near them again, I won't hesitate to break both your legs so you won't be able to go anywhere."
And with that albert ran off, scaramouche looked at you, his eyes no longer holding the dark aura that they possesed not even a minute ago.
"You okay?"
"Yeah.. Why'd you do that?"
"..do what?"
"Save me? You kinda don't give off that knight in shining armor energy you know?"
"Cause what kinda sick fucker let's the person they like be harassed like that? I spent so much time asking around to know what your favorite foods are so I can get them for you and you think I won't punch a bitch for you?"
And when it finally sets in that he basically just confessed to you his first instinct was to run away, and so he did. He turned his back to you as he started walking away, you grabbed his wrist as a way to stop him before he looks at you, he looked adorable, his cheeks stained red while he averted his eyes, trying to avoid your gaze.
"Are you really?"
"Yeah, look just reject me and let's get this over with."
"Reject? No! You owe me ice cream since you finally introduced yourself."
"What."
"I'd like to go out with you, Scaramouche."

Hinipan / 5: Saya (pt. 2)

“Well, hello there, (Y/n), it’s been a while.” A man with long, luscious brown hair greeted her with a curt bow.
He had the most charming golden eyes and a smile that seemed to belong to an idol. “Barbatos?”
“Sup, Morax.” Venti waved at him lazily. He sat (Y/n) down on a seat next to him before he settled on his own. “I hope you’re ready to lose money big-time.”
“Um… what’s going on here?” (Y/n) asked, eyes looking over the several poker cards laying neatly on both men’s sides. “Gambling at an arcade?”
“Oh, but this place is not limited to arcade games, dear,” the man chuckled. “On the other hand, why the cold shoulder?”
(Y/n) tensed up, turning her head down as she pursed her lips for fear she’d say the wrong things. How was she supposed to explain to this stranger who was friends with the body she possessed that the girl he knew was no longer there?
“Ah, ah! Allow me to answer, dearest (Y/n).” Venti placed a hand on her shoulder and gave her a wink. “(Y/n) here has amnesia.”
“Amnesia? Pardon?” Morax’s eyes widened. “Aether seems to have left out such crucial details.”
“Yeah, yeah, he does that alot.” Venti said dismissively. “Since (Y/n) got amnesia, you be gentle on her, alright?”
Morax momentarily choked on his own spit, “You word that so strangely, dear me…”
“Yeah, I’m pretty good at that stuff.” Venti smiled proudly.
“A-anyway, I’m sorry that I can no longer recognize you.” (Y/n) said. “I hope you don’t feel too upset with me—”
“How can I if it isn’t at all your fault?” Morax cut her off. He got up and walked over to her side, lifting her hand and placing a kiss on it. “How about we start over?”
“I… alright.” (Y/n) nodded. “What a gentleman…” She muttered.
“I am Zhongli, a pleasure to meet you, (Y/n).” Morax smiled brightly. “I do hope the gremlins are treating you well.”
“NO CUZ WHERE IS THAT BEHAVIOR COMING FROM, EH? MORAX?” Venti pushed him away from (Y/n). “WHAT WILL KUNIKUZUSHI SAY ABOUT THIS?”
“Kunikuzushi is a mature individual,” Zhongli said. “And I know my boundaries.”
The man straightened his clothes and reclaimed his seat. He was a handsome man, that’s for sure, but somehow he radiated such a mysterious aura that (Y/n) could not help but be a little cautious.
Venti narrowed his eyes at him but followed suit. He gave (Y/n) a cheeky smile before turning serious, clasping his hands together as if he was about to make a business deal.
“I hope you’re ready to lose your money, Morax.”
Zhongli chuckled and turned to (Y/n). “Please watch as I destroy Barbatos at his own game.”
At that moment, the two men looked more than just two men playing cards.
‘They feel so…. divine.’
“We’re home~” The redhead’s sang, walking through the doors with two suitcases in hand. “Kazuha said there was an emergency— Aether was panicking, you know? Xiao had to stop him from causing a scene.” He sighed, gazing at the lone figure sitting on the kitchen aisle.
“Wish he did.” Kunikuzushi said bitterly, swirling a glass of champagne in hand, obviously drunk by the amount of empty champagne bottles surrounding him. The lights were off and the heater was closed, he had set the perfect miserable atmosphere for himself.
“Archons.” The redhead sighed, dropping his suitcases to the side. “How can (Y/n) even let you get this bad?”
“Don’t say her name, Heizou.” Kunikuzushi spat. “I don’t want to hear her name.”
“Huh… Poor (Y/n),” Heizou said. “A little snappy, I see, I see. Maybe I should fetch Xiao to console you—”
“Way ahead of you.” The green-haired boy pushed past him, the chains adjourning his clothes clicking and clunking as he rushed over to the depressed boy. “What’d (Y/n) do? Did she say something to hurt you?”
“I specifically said not to say her name—”
“I heard what happened.” Aether coughed, appearing by the doorway with Kazuha by his head. He breathed heavily, sweat dripping down his temples as he looked at Kunikuzushi with great concern. “Kuni—”
“I GET IT, SHUT UP.” Kunikuzushi slammed his fist on the kitchen aisle, knocking over some bottles to the ground. The room grew silent, his quicked heart beat being the only thing anyone could hear.
“I don’t need your pity.” He grit his teeth, clenching his fists. “I don’t need your sorrow, your apologies, nothing. This is… I’m just upset. No… I’m miserable. Just let me be miserable.”
“She’s gone. Another soul took over her body.” His tiny figure began to shake, uncontrollable fits of sobs threatening to come out. “No one can do anything about it… no one…”
Xiao sighed, following him as he slowly bent over to the ground. He felt sorry for him, truly, he did. But he was even more concerned that he was upset enough to result to this. Kunikuzushi was always upset, but he never lost his cool not once.
“Go on, just cry.” He patted his back comfortingly. “What’s any of us gonna do about it? Record you? We all know better.”
And so, he did. Kunikuzushi cried. He cried so hard that it didn’t even seem like he was crying anymore as he repeatedly muttered, “She’s gone. She’s gone.” under his breath.
Everyone could understand where he was coming from. They were all upset in a way, after all, (Y/n) was their friend. And for their friend to be abruptly taken away just like that? If they didn’t have to keep their composure for the heartbroken fiance, they all would’ve been ugly crying right now.
“We’re going to find a way to get her back, right?” Aether muttered.
“Of course, we will.” Kazuha nodded. “I’m sure the person in her body right now is a lovely person… but (Y/n) can never be replaced.”
“But how? The phenomenon just seems too impossible to figure out…”
Heizou walked over to them, arms crossed. “Even if it was impossible, we have to try. Poor Kunikuzushi just lost the love of his life, his best friend, and his other half. If there’s a way it happened, there’s a way it can be reversed. Capisce?”
“I didn’t take philosophy in college, but sure.” Aether nodded.
“Good, now step aside, we need to search for Venti and (Y/n).”

Hinipan / 4: Saya (pt. 1)

The delicious aroma of cookies filled the air as the (h/c)-haired girl stood amidst the kitchen much bigger than she was used to…
After her first night at the 6reeze estate, she really did not know what state of mind she should be in. She felt small compared to all the appliances and furniture as well as her circumstances. She felt unwelcomed and tired, intimidated and desperate for a chance to confront whoever decided to let her live.
If only she had been reincarnated as a baby. That would’ve been more acceptable than… whatever this was.
“I hope forgetting to put that one egg won't ruin the cookies too much.” She muttered to herself as she recalled the oddly drier texture of the cookie batter, “I just want sweets. Sweets always make you happy.”
“Correcto!”
(Y/n) felt her soul leave her body as she felt the foreign voice whisper in her ear. She jumped back nearly toppling over the half-full bowl in front of her as she placed a hand on her chest. “ARCHONS— please never do that.”
Venti laughed, finding her reaction quite adorable as he backed away slightly, “Sorry~ you just looked so intense while you baked. Something on your mind? You know you can tell me right? I’m not like grumpy Kuni~ I’m built different.”
“I-I see.” (Y/n) nodded, slowly reverting back into her quiet form, “Well… do you need something?”
“Not much, just came to check on you, you know.” Venti shrugged, taking a seat on the kitchen aisle before he looked her in the eye, “And to make you smile.”
(Y/n) looked back at him and nearly scoffed, “Is this a social experiment, Mr. Leader of 6reeze?”
“Uh no? Why would you think that?” He feigns innocence and pouts, “Why do you think so badly of meeeee?”
“You’re flirting with me.”
“So? This is just my personality! Who are you to judge me for who I am?!”
“A complete and total stranger.” (Y/n) frowned, her mood seemingly getting worse as she looked away, “Look, you’re not being forced to befriend me or anything. You’ll get your manager in a while… hopefully.”
“Ae and Zou are going to take forever to get here from another country.” Venti yawned, laying his head on the kitchen aisle, “And I’m not being friendly because I have to! You just looked so lonely—”
“And I am.” (Y/n) cut him off, the oven dinging in the process, “I’ve always been and I prefer it to stay that way. Now excuse me…” She passed by him and went to take the cookies out.
“Hey, hey!” Venti said, “Even if you’re not our manager, it doesn't mean I don’t have the duty to make you smile, you know?”
“What?” (Y/n) sighed, getting up from the oven, the tray of cookies in her hands.
Venti got up from his position and went over to her, getting unnecessarily close to her place. He grabbed a cookie from the tray and took a bite, “It’s always been my duty to make (Y/n) happy. She’s always worked so hard… and you just happen to be (Y/n).” He smiled smugly.
“Sorry… I don’t follow but did you just eat a cookie fresh from the oven?” She gawked, perplexed at the boy’s audacity.
“Yeah? What about it?” Venti shrugged, mouth full, “Come with me.” He shoved the rest of the cookie in his mouth before he dragged the girl out of the room.
“Today’s agenda: make (Y/n) happy!”
“I’m not (Y/n)—”
“Shush!”
“Please explain to me why you are wearing a mask and hoodie.” (Y/n) asked as she walked alongside the teal-haired boy through a dark alley that was only illuminated with a few lamps, “I feel underdressed compared to you.”
“Don’t mind it, fair maiden!” Venti said in an awfully cheery voice, “It’s just that we’re walking into private business… and I don’t want our fans flocking over to me, you know?”
"Private business..?" (Y/n) deadpanned, "I'm feeling a little nervous about what you actually mean…"
"You'll see." Venti chuckled, keeping a secure hold on her arm, "I won't let you get hurt, don't worry."
The girl looked back at him with slight hesitation, but she nodded and followed suit as they entered a tiny metal door.
With all the vandalization on the walls and the dark, dingy alleyway, one would think they were entering some illegal organization. However, what was inside was completely different from what was expected.
A bright arcade greeted them, loud music from each game echoing throughout the big space as people of all race, gender, and age ran around with buckets of money in their hands.
“An arcade?” (Y/n) said with wide eyes, “But why are people holding such big sums of money…?”
“Aye! Good to see you here again, Barbatos!” A bouncer greeted them with a warm smile, “That issue back at home is resolved, I suppose?” He eyed (Y/n) a little suspiciously.
“Haha, yep, pretty much!” Venti chuckled, throwing his arm around (Y/n)’s shoulder and patting her back, “This is my friend, (Y/n), by the way. (Y/n), this is Huffman, Huffman, this is (Y/n)!”
‘Why does he get to use a fake name but not me?’ (Y/n) grumbled to herself.
"Nice to meet you, (Y/n)!" Huffman beamed, "I guess it's finally time you introduced your super responsible mom friend to us, huh?"
"Ehe yep! She's too awesome to not introduce anyway." Venti winked, "Anyway, I'll have my usual. Is he here?"
"Of course." Huffman bowed his head a little, stepping aside to let him through, "And he has your desired prize as well."
"Yay!" Venti clapped before letting go of (Y/n), "Come! I'll buy your tokens for you~"
(Y/n) sighed as the boy grabbed her wrist to drag her away yet again. She wondered why she was even here until she remembered she couldn't exactly refuse him. As they ran through the arcade to Venti's destination, her eyes caught a single plushie inside a crane game.
It was white and tiny… and looked absolutely adorable. However, that was not the only reason why the toy caught her eye.
'It's giving the same vibe that the gentle tornado that brought me here did.' She thought to herself as the toy eventually disappeared from her view.

Hinipan / 3: Dalamhati

Sitting across from her were two world-renowned boyband members...
Venti, the leader and main vocalist, and Kazuha, the guitarist and lyricist. In comparison to the (h/c)-haired girl, they were much more successful than she was in all her lifetimes combined, not to mention they were quite attractive and absolute gentlemen. That being so, it was no surprise that the moment they prepared to have a serious conversation, there was only an awkward silence in the air.
“Well so…”
“I’m truly sorry, once again!” (Y/n) blurts out, hands clasped together as she kept her head down, “I had no intentions to take over your manager’s body, much less take a person’s fiance away from them!” “It’s alright, (Y/n).” Kazuha chuckles, his bangs shaking at the motion. For some reason, the littlest things he did were emphasized in (Y/n)’s brain.
‘Holy… he is so beautiful—’ (Y/n) thought to herself, ‘Wait, no… that isn’t what I should be thinking about right now.’ If she could, she would’ve slapped both her cheeks as a punishment for straying off the original topic.
“Yeah, it isn’t really your fault.” Venti shrugs, leaning back on the chair with his arms behind his head, “Though…. How do we know you aren’t lying?”
“Venti…” Kazuha shot him a glare.
“Okay, okay, chill!” Venti raised his hands up in surrender, “But can you blame me for doubting this whole reincarnation thing?”
“No, I can’t. It’s not logical, yes, but imagine how she feels.” Kazuha crossed his arms.
The white-haired boy turns to the girl, his eyes softening at her guilty expression. He placed a hand on her head and gently ruffled her hair, “Cheer up, we’ll find a way to resolve this once our other friends return, okay?”
(Y/n) looked up at him and nodded, not entirely convinced but comforted enough to feel a little better.
“So, tell us your story.” He smiled, “What happened before you got transmigrated here?”
“I…” (Y/n) lowered her head again, “I lived a pointless life… this is all I can say… and I never really anticipated this whole reincarnation thing. If there’s anything I can do to make this hopefully temporary stay bearable for you all, please tell me.”
“You being you is enough, really.” Venti shrugs, “Our (Y/n) was reallyyyy strict, so like—”
“Venti.” This time Kazuha really hits the back of his head, “I will not tolerate you dissing (Y/n) in front of another version of her.”
“You know how weird that already sounds, right?”
“I’m aware.” Kazuha deadpanned, “Look… just lay off Kunikuzushi and (Y/n) for now, alright?”
“... You know I’m older than you, right?” Venti grimaced, “But fine.” He shrugged and got up, “Time to go have a sip of my wonderful Domaine de la Romanee-Conti~”
Kazuha sighed in relief at his departure, glad that he could finally have a word with the (h/c)-haired girl without interruptions.
“Listen… there isn’t anything you have to do, but—”
“(Y/n).” A deep and impatient voice came, Kunikuzushi appearing by the door frame with his hands in his pocket, “We’re going to have a talk. Let’s go.” He beckoned her to come over.
Kazuha grumbled under his breath at the interruption, “Kunikuzushi, how about you wait till later?”
“I know you’ve had feelings for her for some time now, Kazuha, but she’s no longer (Y/n).” Kunikuzushi said bitterly, “No point in you standing up for her like that.”
“(Y/n).” He repeated firmly, “Come.”
Kazuha looked at (Y/n) with uncertainty with his eyes, but he knew that in the end, the choice was hers to make.
“I’ll come back.” (Y/n) smiled softly, patting his back before she got up.
The moonlight shone brightly on the two engaged couples, the balcony they stood on overlooking a beautiful, luxurious backyard. Despite being a boyband, the place they resided in looked more of a palace than anything. One could tell that it had the touch of true artists rather than your conventional architects.
The atmosphere and romantic, however, what lay in both (Y/n) and Kunikuzushi’s minds couldn’t be farther from the truth.
“You can’t replace her.” Kunikuzushi said as he leaned against the balcony railing, “So give up already.”
“P-Pardon?” (Y/n) spoke meekly, “I never had the intention to—”
“You did.” Kunikuzushi snapped, “Anyone can tell that you made some deal with the gods to have you switch. You’re a fan of ours, aren’t you? You plan to seduce one of us, or even worse, all of us? You’re trying to live your little romance novel dream in exchange for my lover’s life.”
“I’m not! I promise—”
“No,” Kunikuzushi interjected, “We don’t need you making empty promises.”
He straightened up before pinning her to the railing, “I won’t listen to any of your trashy reasoning. I hate you and I always will so stop trying while you can, got it? Don’t talk to us. Don’t try to get close to us. Just. Don’t. Try.”
The look he gave her was firm and a clear declaration that she shouldn't try and change his mind.
She was stunned, but she knew that he was clearly hurting and she couldn’t bring herself to object to his demand. So she simply nodded, “Okay.”

My Sunshine / Aether x fem!Reader

You snuggle your head even more into his chest, not minding the stickiness you feel from a long day of hard work...
You feel water pool into your eyes, but you kept your mouth shut in fear that any sound you make would disrupt the moment.
Your heart beats fast, both from the agonizing day you just had and the fact a certain blonde was treating you so preciously. He caressed your hair and held you close, whispering sweet nothings into your ear.
"It's alright now... You did well." You could almost feel the gentle smile that would've definitely been on Aether's face.
You had your eyes shut completely, refusing to let your tears escape. An air bubble made it's way to your throat, making every swallow of saliva you did more painful than it should be.
"If you wish to cry... Don't suppress it." As if heeding his permission more than yours, the tears finally flood out, staining your cheeks as the atmosphere was filled with your sobbing.
Aether began humming an unfamiliar tune, it was soothing, however— perhaps a lullaby he'd learned through his travels.
He repositions the both of you so that he'd be cradling you like a baby. Your face was no longer buried into his chest, so you intentionally let your hair fall into your face so that your tear-stained eyes wouldn't be shown. Not like it mattered...
"It's alright now," Aether kissed your forehead and pats his fingers to the beat of his lullaby, "You are no longer alone. You're finally back home. They're no longer here to hurt you, my dear. You no longer have anything to fear."
You cried even harder, so hard to the point you felt yourself finally going to a point of dehydration. You got thrown into a pit of coughs for a few moments, Aether rubbing your back to comfort you.
"Let it out, let it out." Aether whispers, taking out his water canister which he hands to you after your coughing has stopped.
You accepted the offer of water and began drinking to quench your lack of water. After you finished, you realize how your crying has gradually stopped. Now you were only breathing silently as a few tears dripping down your cheeks.
"I'm sorry..." You say weakly, your voice still cracking due to the crying it had just experienced before.
"Sorry for what?" You look up and see Aether smiling softly at you, "Don't be sorry for breaking down, it's only natural after what you've been through."
"You're too sweet." You frown, looking away, feeling that his gaze was too powerful for you. He shone so brightly, that it was as if you were looking directly at the sun.
You enjoyed his embrace, but you also had the strongest urge to pull away, feeling that you are undeserving of this treatment.
"Only to you who deserve it." He lifts your hand to his lips and lays a gentle kiss on it, "You must be tired. I'd feel honored if you fell asleep with my arms around you to protect you."
"Oh no..." You instinctively pull away, sitting a few meters away from him as you brushed the stray pieces of hair on your face away. You used your sleeve to wipe away any more remnants of your tears as you looked at the boy who remained unphased.
"I don't want to bother you anymore..."
"You aren't a bother. I've defeated many bosses and saved three regions... If I couldn't protect even you, I wouldn't be able to forgive myself..."
You sigh, deciding not to resist any further. You knew you'd lay awake at night, regretting the decision you made if you were to turn him down. Your pride was one thing, but the way you loved every little thing about this boy overpowers all.
You felt burst into tears once again as you jumped back into his arms, him accepting you so willingly.
"I love you so much... I don't deserve you."

Envision / Xingqiu x fem!Reader

His light brown eyes scanned the book intently in his hand, absorbing every dialogue and description the author poured their heart and soul to write.....
To just about anyone else, they'd see a young boy simply reading under dull candlelight, but to the boy... He was witnessing the fight that happened between the Archons.
The book was based on the true story of the archon war, it spoke of the collisions that happened between the Archons that potentially led to the war that took many innocent lives. It spoke of how selfish some people were that'd they kill for their own selfish desires, and it perfectly portrayed what greed can do to just about anyone.
His knuckles went white from how tight he was grasping the book as he read about how someone spoke as if the lives of mortals did not matter at all, simply because he couldn't care less for the people they were supposed to be protecting.
His thoughts immediately turned to a special girl that had entered his life a few years back, and just the simple thought of how someone like her could die under the hands of someone like this... Angered him.
He was unconsciously growing aggravated by the second, simply because he was overthinking. He knew they lived at a time that was the most peaceful in history, but he couldn't help but fear about what would've happened if something decided to change.
"So skinny... Still not the best swordsman there is yet." An unlikely thing for the boy who was called Xingqiu to say, no one would've known that he was very insecure due to his confident demeanor.
He was the son of a rich and powerful figure in Liyue, he authored multiple books and spoke with confidence to anyone he's spoken with; but at the end of the day, he is still a child. A child in need of encouragement and affection. A child who needed comfort when he was in need. And that child's needs was recognized by no other than (Y/n).
(Y/n) (L/n), a simple adventurer who had no clear goal in life, but when she met Xingqiu whose way of life was totally different from your average human; a goal sparked inside of her.
She didn't know why, but whenever she spoke with the boy, she could feel the boredom and melancholy behind his polite words. She could feel when stress seemed to be slowly eating him whole and when he was at his absolute worst state.
"What if I can't protect her when the time comes...? Why do I even waste so much time dilly-dallying, spending so much excess time on reading instead of equally dividing them with training...?" Xingqiu dropped the book on the table as he placed both hands on his head, muttering more untrue things under his breath.
A sleepy (Y/n) emerged from the guest bedroom and into his home's living room. One could tell by her disheveled look and her face of confusion that she had only just woken up.
"Xingqiu? Are you doing alright there?" She calls out, the concern evident in her whispery tone. She walks over and sits next to Xingqiu, the boy not even noticing her presence.
"Xingqiu?"
Xingqiu immediately snapped out of his little worry session, his head shooting back up as he turned to (Y/n) in shock, "A-Ah! (Y/n), my liege... It's just you." He took deep breaths, his hand over his heart, "Why are you still up?"
"I was asleep but I awoke when I dreamt of you feeling troubled." (Y/n) says, "Chongyun says I do have a knack for sensing when someone I'm close to feels troubled, so I took it as a sign."
"Am I important enough that you'd dream of me?" Xingqiu asks an unreadable question on his face as (Y/n) pets his head with a smile.
"Of course! You've done so many things for others that outweigh the selfish ones you've done. If you were reflecting on your mistakes, please remember that you aren't perfect and don't have to beat yourself so much over the past." (Y/n) says soothingly, rubbing her arm on his back.
"That's not all I'm worried about... What if I make such a big mistake that someone important to me... Like you... Dies?"
"Then what happens, happens." (Y/n) says firmly, "If I died because someone killed me... It wouldn't be your fault because you "weren't strong enough" okay? I would've died because of the person's evil intentions. "
"You say that but it isn't quite easy to let the fact that you could've prevented someone's death slide... Anyone is bound to feel guilty." Xingqiu says, avoiding eye contact as his eyes scan the title of the book in front of him.
(Y/n) gently pushes away the book and turns his head so he can face her, "Then you move on. Use it as motivation to grow stronger. People who take lives are there to steal two lives whether you know it or not. The only difference is how he takes them. The first one by force, and the second by gradually taking away the witness' will to live by manipulating their way of thinking. Don't fall for it."
"Why didn't you try to even convince me you wouldn't die so easily, my liege?" Xingqiu look at her in melancholy, feeling as if she was hinting at something to him.
"I don't want to give empty promises." (Y/n) sighs, "But I do promise I will try my best... To stay alive." She smiled, "What about you? What will you promise?"
She placed her hand on his which was laying on the table. He looked at their hands and then back at her.
"Why must I?"
"It's like a contract, both sides must keep their end of the deal." (Y/n) hummed, "So, what's your promise?"
"I vow that I wouldn't be too hard on myself." Xingqiu says hastily, "Now we must head to bed for it is pretty late—" he attempts to get up.
"No." (Y/n) says firmly, pulling him back down, "No one wants to see you giving in to the lies told to you by the evil ones."
"... Evil ones you say?" Xingqiu raised an eyebrow, questioning what the girl was speaking of. He looked in her eyes, trying to see if she was joking in a way, but no, she looked confidently genuine.
"I believe the evilest ones in this world are the ones that whisper blatant lies into your ears that make you believe they are true." (Y/n) says, "It's happened. It's taken lives. That's why I want you to promise you won't let it win you over. Never." She says with a frown, her hand wrapped around his wrist even tighter.
Xingqiu blinked at her, speechless for a moment as he placed a hand on her head as a chuckle exited his mouth, "When did you learn to be so poetic?"
"It was bound to happen after all these hangouts with you." (Y/n) scoffed, gently shrugging off his hand, "Go to sleep now maybe? Tomorrow is your big day."
(Y/n) got up and began gently pushing Xingqiu's back to head over to their bedrooms as Xingqiu stared at the floor with a concerned look on his face.
"(Y/n), my liege, I say this out of pure concern, but if you continue to be vulnerable like that you will undoubtedly die too early." He says.
"You of all people should know I'm not this trusting!" (Y/n) retorts, "You're one to talk for you let your guard down around me too much..."
"That's only because I trust you, (Y/n)."
"That's also because I trust you, Xingqiu. I assume that you will keep your end of the deal?"
Xingqiu looked at her and sighed in defeat, "I promise to give it my all, my liege."

Hinipan / 2: Gitla

“For the manager of a well-known group, you sure don’t seem as professional.”
The girl instinctively looked at her feet, discovering that she was, indeed, wearing no shoes. She also saw that she wore little to no clothes despite the cold atmosphere, which was very strange considering she had fallen off the roof wearing complete winter attire.
“You’re… not going to complain about the fact I’m practically in my undergarments?”
“You do that all the time, nothing new here.” The boy rolled his eyes before leaning back on the sofa he sat on. He continued to scroll on his phone, leaving the conversation without another word.
“I—what?” (Y/n) looked around her, confused at the setting and who this boy was. Where had that gentle tornado taken her and why was this purple-haired boy speaking so casually with her?
“Look, listen, I think there might be a mistake—”
The door leading to the lounge they were in burst open, a short green-haired boy with twin braids and beautiful teal eyes bursting through.
“Kuni! Guess what?!—”
“I said don’t call me that.” The boy who (Y/n) assumed was ‘Kuni’ grumbled under his breath.
“What? (Y/n) gets to call you that but not me?” The boy pouts, “I see the favoritism here! Injustice within 6reeze!”
“She’s right here, you know, so will you just quiet down before you get in trouble?”
“Oops.” The boy looked at (Y/n) before he backed away in terror, “Hi, Miss (Y/n)...” He said sheepishly.
The original (Y/n), whose body our current protagonist had taken over, would typically say, “Really, Venti? Or were you purposefully shunning me as some pretentious punishment for giving you a suspension the other day?” Then the boy and his manager would engage in a lengthy argument about whether or not (Y/n) was being unreasonable or if his punishment was well-deserved.
If she felt like it, the original (Y/n) would also threaten to have the rest of his co-stars perform without him.
Fortunately for him, the original bossy manager was long gone. The only thing the (h/c)-haired girl could do was stare at him awkwardly. “Um… it’s okay, I guess?”
‘Kuni’ and the boy immediately looked at her, perplexed at her reaction. What in the world possessed their manager? The manager made them go to the airport 5 hours before the takeoff, the manager who made sure they had the right diet, the manager who constantly bonked Venti and Heizou’s heads when they felt extra cheeky?
“I was gonna announce that Lumine had accepted our offer of a collaboration… but are you okay?” The boy with twin pigtails placed the back of his palm against her forehead, “Your forehead isn’t very hot, but are you feeling any other symptoms? Hallucination maybe? Dehydration? I mean, despite you taking great care of us all, you fail to do the same to yourself.”
‘Kuni’ clicked his tongue in annoyance, walking over to them and brushing the boy’s hand off of her, “You don’t touch people’s fiance so casually, you imbecile.” He hissed.
“Okay okay, geez, I’m sorry.” The boy grumbled under his breath and backed away, “You really are a match made in heaven with those personalities of yours…”
“What’d you say?!”
“Nothing, nothing!”
“Hello everybody, Aether called our secretary to order some pizza as a celebration for finally convincing Lumine to collaborate.” A boy with white-hair and a red streak poked his head into the room.
His eyes widened upon seeing his manager’s state, “Oh! Hello, Miss (Y/n)! Apologies for Venti barging in during your intimate moment.”
“O-oh no—” (Y/n) felt her face immediately flush as she waves her hands around frantically, “We weren’t having a moment—”
“We were.” ‘Kuni’ said bluntly, “... Not in the way Kazuha thought, but we were talking about my family… and stuff.”
“Ooooh, how intimate!” The boy with pigtails snickered.
“Though that doesn’t really matter much.” ‘Kuni’ turned (Y/n) around so she would be facing him, “You’re acting off. Did you hit your head in the bathroom or something?”
(Y/n) looked down, avoiding his eye contact as she still couldn’t fully process this whole situation. First, she got reincarnated which was already weird enough in itself. Second, she had a fiance in this life! Which was terrible, because he would’ve lost someone very important to him!
“Listen… this may come off as weird…” (Y/n) started, “But I’m not your (Y/n).”
There were a variety of responses.
“Well duh, the (Y/n) we know would’ve murdered me from stealing your shoes!” The boy with pigtails beamed.
“You… what.” ‘Kuni’ sent him a threatening glare, “You have a lot of guts for someone who never does his job right.”
“Do too!” The boy glared back at him, “Kazuha, back me up here!”
The white-haired boy just chuckled, “We’ll talk about the stealing of shoes later, Venti.” He turned to (Y/n), his smile wiped off his face:
“... Pardon? Can you elaborate?”
“I… don’t know what else to tell you, I’m sorry.” (Y/n) glared at the ground, “I died, then I woke up and I was already… me.”
“Maybe this is her way of avoiding your wedding.” ‘Venti’ joked, “It’s fast moving. I even heard her talk about being stressed before.”
‘Kuni’ sneered at him before turning back to his partner, the hurt and fear evident in his eyes, “... Are you being serious right now, (Y/n)?”
(Y/n) nodded.
“Oh.” ‘Venti’’s cheery smile immediately faded, “Hey, I didn’t mean to—”
Before he could finish his sentence, ‘Kuni’ had stormed out of the room, leaving nothing but traces of tension in the air behind.
“I’m so sorry.” (Y/n) said weakly, “I didn’t mean to…”
“And it’s not your fault.” ‘Kazuha’ sighed, “Come, let’s discuss this more in-depth.”

Hinipan / 1: Lumitaw

The street lights shone beautifully...
...creating a lovely orange hue as the (h/c)-haired female looked down at the people below. It was currently freezing in her hometown, snow dropping down from the sky as all the Christmas songs played on every store’s speaker. The mood was joyful, people excitedly awaiting the countdown to end which would signal the end of the current year.
Before the current years had come, (Y/n) was a bright and bubbly girl, so full of life. She looked forward to the fireworks that would erupt on the first day of the next year and excitedly wrote her New Year’s Resolutions. However, that changed on that very fateful day when all her loved ones began to drop dead.
She had no idea why it happened. Not a clue as to why everyone around her just began to leave her.
First, it was her father who died in a fire. Then, it was her mother who died of a heart stroke despite having been completely healthy before then. Then, her sibling who she was quite close to, was found dead in a ditch. Her best friend, who had accompanied her through all that, died shortly after her sibling’s funeral from an armed robbery. As if those events weren’t enough, even the people she wasn’t that close with began to die. Her teachers, her classmates, and her coworkers; she was eventually seen as a curse.
Everyone kept their distance from her. The once ray of sunshine became the very person everyone hated the most (for no valid reason).
Now she was here, standing at the top of the highest building in her hometown, waiting for the New Year’s Countdown to end so she could jump off the railing to end her life. She made sure she’d jump into a dark alley so she wouldn’t scare anyone during their happy moment.
Still, she wished she could feel the same ecstasy they felt this snowy evening.
The countdown reached the strike of 10, people’s loud voices making this especially hard for her to ignore: “10…! 9…! 8…! 7…! 6…! 5…!”
All of a sudden, she felt scared as she stared at the ground she would soon crash into. Was this really a good idea?
“4…!”
She wanted to back out.
“3…!”
Even if her life was in shambles… maybe she could still try again…
“2…!”
She could always move to a place where no one knew her and become an entirely new person!
“1…!”
Just as she was about to back out, (Y/n) felt her body lurch forward as if someone had pushed her forward. Someone who wanted her dead.
She looked back to see who the perpetrator was, but her eyes could not capture their face in the darkness as she fell through the darkness.
She let out a sigh of disappointment. She knew that despite what that person did, she still dangled her life on the line. Perhaps she did deserve this fate?
She shut her eyes as she fell through what seemed like the abyss. She awaited the painful impact she’d make that would shatter everyone bone in her body and spread her blood all around her— it never came.
What she felt was a comforting breeze and a soft melody humming in her ear. She opened her eyes slowly and saw she was inside what seemed like a tornado. A tornado that was neither harsh nor destructive but the exact opposite.
It seemed to carry her somewhere she could not tell. She did not seem to mind this, however, for she was fixated on how captivating this whirl of wind was.
Eventually, she closed her eyes again, letting the calmness of the wind take her to what she believed was paradise.
She waited for her body to sink into the warm light of heaven when instead she was dropped to her feet on the cold, hard ground— the gentle tornado had left her in unknown territory.
“Barefoot again in the middle of practice, huh?” She opened her eyes and looked at the purple-haired boy who stood in front of her in shock. Who was this person? Why was he talking to her so casually? And oh dear… he looked very disappointed in her!
“For the manager of a well-known group, you sure don’t seem as professional.”
