CICADAS is the Chronically Ill, Crip*, and Disabled Association of Scientists. founded in summer 2024, we are a network by and for all students (undergraduate and postgraduate) in STEM and the social sciences who identify as chronically ill, crip, or disabled. we strive to give tips and advice for navigating academia and succeeding in science as a chronically ill or disabled person.
in the name of making academia more accessible, we also provide tutoring and proofreading help, templates for informing supervisors or professors of your accessibility needs, reading lists, and external research and scholarship opportunities.
stay tuned for our official launch in september!
