Thank you so much for your detailed response! I also like your idea for the bracelet!
A quick question regarding closed practices while I’m on the topic:
Are peacock feathers from a closed practice? Someone bought me a kit full of herbs, crystals, etc. but it also included a chakra bracelet and a peacock feather. I know chakras are a closed practice but I’m stumped with the feather. Looking online says it is found in both buddhism and hinduism but not if it’s strictly a closed practice.

I'm blocking all non Jewish "Lilith worshippers" from now on.
Y'all are antisemitic as fuck.
Lilith is Jewish. Anything that says she's from anything/anywhere else is misinformation. Lilith is from Judaism, the end. But of course, expecting y'all to listen to and respect what Jews have to say is just asking too much.

Closed Traditions Aren't a Monolith.
Not everything is restricted in the same way.
We're not all restricted for the same reason.
Some are closed to protect their traditions from being erased.
Some are closed because the traditions just don't make sense when taken out of context.
Some are closed because they require high-level understanding the average person just won't have.
Some are tied to a specific culture or ethnicity. Others aren't.
Sometimes you just need to be initiated properly.
Sometimes you need to be part of a specific group AND be initiated.
Sometimes there is NO way to join if you're not already in it.
Sometimes being "born into it" doesn't have an easy definition.
Sometimes you need to deassimilate first. Sometimes you can jump right in.
Our boundaries, traditions, and philosophies are ALL unique.
There is no way to learn the rules about all closed practices at once because we are NOT all the same.

Sickness Sleep Tea Spell
Lately I’ve been rather ill, so here is a spell I did to feel connected to my craft as well as relax in order to sleep. Remember to also take medicine for your illness, this in no way substitutes medical help.
What you’ll need
A pot
A tea (or teas) of your choosing
Sugar
Three ice cubes
A candle
A pen and paper
Boil water in your pot, add as much sugar as you’d like
Add your tea(s) and any extras you’d like (ie: honey, cinnamon, vanilla extract, syrup, etc.)
Wait for it to steepen, add to a mug of your choosing
Add three ice cubes. One for luck, one for healing, and one for purity
Write a healing sigil onto your paper and put a small drop of the tea onto it
Burn the sigil over the candle
Put a very small drop of the wax onto the back of your hand
This step is optional but i also burned some sage because it typically clears my sinuses
Drink your tea and go to sleep
I hope you sleep well and feel better soon.

"Folk magic practitioners use coffin nails as a way of connecting with the dead in the belief that the dead can aid in spell work. Magically, the spirits of the dead are believed to possess many abilities to influence and control things beyond the earthly realm. Some practitioners use the nails to work with a specific spirit or ancestor they knew or work with frequently."

wiccans are on thin ice on my blog. their history of cultural appropriation and policing non-wiccan witches practices is vile honestly.
