Death Before Detransition / Joy Before Death: a Trans Charity Art Zine

Seeking Art/Writing Submissions of Any Medium!

🩵 after running a few cursory polls the other day, it seems like other people might be interested in this project! this zine will be comprised of trans art, curated by me, and published to my itch.io page for a minimum purchase amount of $1.50 USD.

🩷 all profits from this zine will be donated to the Campaign for Southern Equality which, among other things, directly helps trans youth in the south obtain healthcare.

🩵 if you would like to contribute art to this zine, I'm seeking submissions for both the book's internal art and also its cover art.

🩷 the zine's page dimensions will be 5.5" by 8.5" or 528 by 816 pixels.

🩵 any art is allowed as long as it fits the theme "trans joy". it doesn't have to have been made specifically for this zine. more specific guidelines and rules are listed within the submission form itself.

Made my first block print / eraser stamp yesterday, and I am obsessed!! The quality of this one is pretty low; I was still figuring out a lot of little things, and I also did not have a proper cutter. This was made entirely with a pocket knife.

I’d like to introduce you to my (three remaining) Pawsitive Pups ✨🫶

These guys were a result of me experimenting with shrinky dinks and posca paint markers!

I ended up deciding to keep this blue fellow after he didn’t sell at the market I brought them to.

Red ended up being the most wavy out of the batch, but the design wasn’t impacted! The little red bead is a vintage one from a box I have that one of my grandma’s found at a yard sale.

Lucky Pup has a vintage shamrock charm also found in that bead box. I really love how they look together.
