Hello!! So, I saw this Reddit post which is the quest order for baldurs gate 3. As someone with autism who NEEDS structure and also someone who’s very worried they’ll miss something important.. this was super helpful. But I made it a little bit easier!!

It’s 4am here, but I just wanted to say: if any of my US American followers are going to be attending a No Kings Day rally or any other protest today: please stay safe. Cover your face and any identifying tattoos, wear nondescript clothing, turn off your Face ID and fingerprint unlock for your phone and put it on airplane mode and power it completely off until you need it. Better yet, don’t bring it at all! Know your rights and don’t talk to the cops. Protesting is our right, and facism doesn’t last forever. I’m proud of you. Stay safe.

And if you can’t attend a rally or protest for ANY reason (your health, concerns for your safety or that of your family, job reasons, anything at all), know that you are not a lesser person because of it. my biggest issue with veilguard is that its a roleplay game that refuses any possibility of roleplay. you can say whatever you want about bg3 but for all its flaws (and yes it has many) at least that was a game that called itself an rpg and then allowed me to feel like i was roleplaying a character within its universe. hello we dont even need to go into different studios to feel the difference, literally compare any other da game to datv??? yeah youre not siding with the villains in the da games like u can in bg3, but at least u can be an asshole in dao and da2, at least theres some questionable decisions u can make in dai, at least theres OPTIONS for how ur character can be. in datv its like they picked rooks personality for you and now you just gotta deal with it, the same with the world. there was no concern for the 10 years we spent curating our canon worlds, they picked everything for you then said too bad so sad if you didnt like it. like at this point why even be an rpg and why even be a continuation of dai if u arent interested in roleplaying the possibilities that come from continuing that story? theres no point in trying to rp what your character would say bc all the dialogue options are the same sentiment, there isnt a true choice in what it is you say, just the tone in which you say it. the difference is basically whether u wanna say the thing straightforward or if you wanna say the thing with a corny one-liner attached to it lmao but you do always have to say the thing regardless. like why even have it be an option if all the dialogue options are basically the exact same sentiment? and the fact that you have to really really reaaaaaaally try to get companions to dislike you in this game bc theres almost no decisions to be made that would actually affect ur relationship with any of the characters... no choices to make in the roleplay game about choices... even though i tried to rp differently my 1st and 2nd pt, played a different race/origin/class, made all different decisions, it felt virtually unchanged. i played a shadow dragon warrior city elf 1st pt, a warden rogue qunari 2nd pt, and the differences were so miniscule as to basically just amount to like... which city i saved... and which characters i romanced... lmao. nobody even comments on the fact that youre an elf/qunari in tevinter???? like it literally could not matter less who rook is bc rook is THEIR oc, the devs, you just get to pick an outfit for them lol. for me, the fun in dao comes from the fact that i can make a character and rp them in such a way that will result different outcomes and relationships, and then create another character with totally different outcomes and totally different relationships even though these choices all exist within the same story. your relationship with morrigan depends on how you roleplay, allowing you to see different sides of the same character, and she behaves very differently depending on how u decided to play. in that there is something worth replaying. in veilguard, everyone and everything is so static, so predetermined... theres no point in playing the game more than once bc theres no choices to be made. it all amounts to the same thing regardless

Why was Solas so vicious with Rook?

For MOST of the game Solas is rather vicious with Rook, and with reason if you take a look at his character:

You can have him warm up to you as you contineau playing the game, or make him stay the same condescending, mocker - with regards in how he racts to Rook. Rook literally did the one thing he hated most; Acted in ignorance and it nearly cost him and the entire world everything. All he sacrificed, all he betrayed and hurt rendered into NOTHING because of Rook interupting what they didnt understand and ignorantly putting themselves into his ritual.

Its why if you zoom in on his face when the Evanuris escaped, you see him cry. Everything he did: made pointless. He's crying cause he just killed Varric, he killed Mythal, he killed Fellassan, he sacrificed a host of spirits, he betrayed and abandonned his only love, and left all the friends he made in INQ behind. Im not suprised Solas was so vicious to Rook.
