I haven’t posted art publicly for a very long time (for the most part) bc I’ve been developing a personal passion project for years now and kept it secret and didn’t upload anywhere except a small priv twit sometimes

anyway twitter sucks big nuts I can’t even scroll that dogshit anymore so I decided to migrate to bluesky and I also decided to start posting art of my original characters which is cool

@ladyylana this reply fascinates me to no end . i love it . i drew this in 2015 , which is nine years ago now , and i didn't have a good understanding of clothing folds , outfit design , any of that shit . this was a labor of love that took -- i remember !! -- 22 hours of actively drawing to finish . the outfits were chosen because they display the boys' tattoos , which was the point of the piece -- these are tattoos my good friend and i designed together for fun ! and this piece was a gift to congratulate my friend for getting into art school . in fact , i started it before they found out if they got in or not bc i was so sure they'd get accepted lmao . that's the whole story behind the thing this expression of love for my friend , where i gave these fictional characters the most intensely basic and boring outfits imaginable to highlight the fun little tattoo au thing we did together (and because of my own ineptitude) , made you feel uncomfortable . which actually made me really curious as to what kinda outfits you'd put them in
